Former President Barack Obama cancels trip to Harvard due to "COVID-like symptoms"

October 18, 2023

Cambridge, Mass. - Former President Barack Obama was scheduled to visit Harvard Wednesday, but the trip was scrapped after he came down with "COVID-like symptoms," the university said. Obama was set to visit the Applied Social Media Lab in Cambridge for the "Future of the Internet Summit" at Harvard's Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society. "The president woke up this morning with COVID-like symptoms," the lab said in a statement Wednesday. "Out of an abundance of caution, he is not attending his public events today. The Summit is continuing as planned featuring his Senior Advisor on Technology, Jason Goldman." Obama graduated from Harvard Law School in 1991.

Due to host Stephen Colbert testing positive for COVID-19, The Late Show With Stephen Colbert will air virtually from the host’s home Monday. “The Late Show will look a little bit different tonight because Stephen is At Home with Covid (he’s ok!),” the show’s official Instagram page posted Monday afternoon. “But be sure to tune in as the show will go on remotely with monologue.” It’s currently unknown how long the host will have to work remotely.

Madonna Tells Crowd She Doesn’t ‘Feel Very Well’ at Belgium Tour Stop

October 22, 2023

Living legend Madonna wears custom JeanPaul Gaultier the originator of the quintessentially Madge cone bra

After taking the stage an hour late, Madonna revealed that she "doesn’t feel very well" in a tearful speech about her near-fatal health scare this summer during the Celebration Tour stop in Belgium on Saturday. "Less than four months ago, I was in a hospital and I was unconscious and people were thinking, predicting that I might not make it," she said. "It's a f---ing miracle that I'm here right now. My mother, God bless her, she must be watching over me. She said, 'Girl, it’s not your time to go.' I must tell you, I don't feel very well right now. But I can't complain, because I'm alive," she continued. "Thank God for my children and all of you and all of your love and support." The Queen of Pop was hospitalized with a "serious bacterial infection" in June and was forced to postpone her 78-show Celebration Tour, which will run until April 2024. She celebrated her 65th birthday in good health in August and kicked off the tour at the O2 Arena in London last weekend.

October 17, 2023

Pink is postponing two of her upcoming shows, because she says there's a medical issue in her family requiring her immediate attention. The singer announced the postponements of her Tuesday and Wednesday gigs in Tacoma, WA, with a social media post Monday, apologizing to her fans for the inconvenience. In a statement on her social media, Pink says she's sorry, and she's "sending nothing but love and health to all." It's unclear what's going on back home ... we reached out to Pink's reps, but so far no word back.

Steely Dan Replaced On Eagles Farewell Tour As Donald Fagen Hospitalized

October 10, 2023

The Eagles are on their farewell tour right now, with openers Steely Dan — a dream bill for my parents and maybe yours too. It was all going according to plan for a while, but unfortunately, the Dan have dropped off several upcoming shows. As reported within an Indianapolis Star concert review, main Dan man Donald Fagen (pictured) was hospitalized due to an illness, which has caused the tour to shuffle in multiple openers. Last week Sheryl Crow opened two shows. Steve Miller Band opened Monday’s show and will play upcoming dates in Detroit and Cleveland. Vince Gill, now a touring member of the Eagles, will play his own opening set on Oct. 15 in Pittsburgh. No alternate openers have been booked for the remaining shows yet, so hopefully by then Fagen will be up and running again.

Craig Melvin is missing from Today and replaced just one day after return from long absence due to scary health battle

October 5, 2023

Today show anchor Craig Melvin has gone missing from the morning show again just one day after his return. He was replaced by a beloved co-host after battling a scary illness. Craig was absent for part of last week and this Monday. He returned to Today on Tuesday, after his nearly week-long battle with Covid-19. However, on Wednesday, the 44-year-old was abruptly absent again. Instead of Craig joining Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb at the desk, Sheinelle Jones took his position. She has been filling in for him during his sickness this past week. It is not clear where Craig is or when he will return to the morning show for good.
