Brandy Hospitalized for Possible Seizure After Medical Incident at L.A. Home
October 12, 2022
Singer Brandy Norwood is recovering in an L.A. hospital after possibly suffering a seizure … TMZ has learned.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ they got an EMS call to Brandy’s home at noon Tuesday. Sources with direct knowledge tell us it’s believed Brandy suffered a seizure, and she was taken to a local hospital.
At this time, we’re told Brandy is still in the hospital — her parents have been there with her — and it appears she will recover.
We don’t know what led up to the seizure or if there were other health issues as a result of the incident.
It was earlier this year when Brandy blew the crowd away at the NFL’s NFC Championship game with her rendition of the National Anthem.
We’ve reached out to a rep for Brandy … so far, no word back.

Lions’ Saivion Smith taken off field in ambulance after scary injury [sic]
October 9, 2022
Lions cornerback Saivion Smith suffered what the team said was a neck injury before being placed on a stretcher and then taken off the field in an ambulance early in Sunday’s game against the Patriots in Foxborough. The Lions said Smith, 24, was being taken to a local hospital.
Smith suffered the injury during a Hunter Henry 23-yard reception. At the beginning of the play, the Patriots tight end bumped Smith right at the line of scrimmage, appearing to make contact with Smith’s head with his right shoulder before Smith fell down, which gave Henry the room to make the catch and run.

Brighton midfielder Enock Mwepu forced to retire due to heart condition
October 10, 2022
Brighton midfielder Enock Mwepu has retired from football at the age of 24 after being diagnosed with a potentially life-threatening heart condition.
The Zambia player was ruled out during the most recent international break after he was taken ill on the flight to meet up with his national teammates.
He spent time in a Malian hospital then flew back to Brighton, where tests revealed the hereditary condition.
A statement from Albion read: “The condition, which can worsen over time, would put Enock at an extremely high risk of suffering a potentially fatal cardiac event, if he were to continue playing competitive football.
“[The tests] have concluded that his illness is due to a hereditary cardiac condition, which manifests later in life and was not previously evident on regular cardiac screening. Sadly this can be exacerbated by playing sport so Enock has been advised that the only option, for the sake of his own safety, is for him to stop playing football.”

British paralympic medal winning cyclist George Peasgood is currently in intensive care in hospital after a recent freak accident in which he suffered a diffuse axonal injury.
According to Peasgood’s partner and fellow cyclist Frankie Hall, no other parties were involved in the “freak accident” which took place last week.
Hall confirmed the dramatic news of the incident in a short statement on Instagram .
“As many people already know, last Saturday on our ride, George suffered a freak accident on the bike [no other parties involved]. He has suffered severe injuries, specifically a diffuse axonal injury, and is currently undergoing treatment in a neuro critical care unit,” Hall said.
“Since the accident and for the foreseeable future, I shall be based around the hospital and the rest of George’s family to help with the long recovery journey. We do not have any further information at this stage, we will know more once he regains consciousness, but we appreciate your respect and privacy at this time.”

More “news” that’s utterly (and, since Fetterman may be elected to the Senate, and, if so, will be more than likely to push further “vaccinations,” tragically) beside the point:
John Fetterman’s post-stroke interview sparked a furious backlash. Here’s why people were angry
October 13, 2022
NBC News found itself facing accusations of both partisanship and insensitivity this week after reporter Dasha Burns interviewed John Fetterman for his first extended sit-down interview since suffering a stroke earlier this year.
The conversation, which touched on a number of political issues in the race, devolved immediately on Twitter into discussions about Mr Fetterman’s cognitive abilities after the reporter opined on whether or not the lieutenant governor and Senate candidate was having problems understanding her questions.

Jeremy Chardy continues to suffer due to the aftereffects of the COVID-19 vaccine, opens up on the difficult phase away from tennis
October 13, 2022
Jeremy Chardy suspended his season last September after losing to Italian World No.16 Matteo Berrettini in Round 1 of the US Open 2021. He gave a shocking revelation to the tennis world that he is facing adverse effects of the COVID-19 vaccine and is unable to train or play. He also had to undergo knee surgery last June.
“Already, there is a side that is a bit difficult, I had spoken about it with Roger Federer because when I had surgery, he called me because for the moment I am doing my rehabilitation, but until I play again, I don’t know if I will be able to play again or not.
“That’s the thing that’s a bit hard mentally, it’s to say to yourself, ‘I’m doing everything seriously, I’m doing my rehabilitation and maybe I’ll be disappointed at the end that I won’t be able to play again,” said Chardy during an interview for the French Media.
