"The more of us there are, the better it is for all of us": Truckers want their fellow-citizens to come to Ottawa, to thwart the violence planned by the government
Unfortunately, we the "unclean" cannot fly to Ottawa (or anywhere, for that matter) to support them and to end this madness. A couple of us in BC, sensing that we may not be the "fringe minority" we are told we are, have begun a button campaign - a small, messageless tulip button that symbolizes our commitment to the rights and freedoms that have become privileges - in an attempt to be able to recognize others who share our convictions so as to become more brave, more visible, more numerous. To our surprise, it's taken off. We're now sending buttons off to trucker convoys, in gratitude and to make the message so strong in society that "they" must relent. Perhaps a dream, but the most we can do.
I also have this query: The "liberals" - Liberals, NDP & Greens in Canada, Democrats and some Socialists (oh, the irony) in the US - accuse the truckers of being right-wing. How could they possibly think that the truckers would support parties - the former parties of working people - that have nothing but derision and contempt for them? Who would? I hereby sentence them to listen to Copland's "Fanfare to the Common Man" 24 hours a day until they "get" it.

Love you good and brave and conscientious folks
