Bills owner Kim Pegula dealing with serious health issues
February 7, 2023
Buffalo Bills and Sabres owner Kim Pegula was hospitalized last summer with an unspecified health issue, and we now know a bit more about how difficult the recovery process has been for her.
Jessica Pegula, a tennis star and the daughter of Kim and Terry Pegula, opened up about her mother’s condition in a piece she wrote for The Players’ Tribune that was published on Tuesday. Jessica said Kim went into cardiac arrest last June while asleep. Jessica’s sister, Kelly, performed CPR on Kim and “saved her life,” according to Jessica.
Kim spent a week in intensive care. Jessica says she was then moved to an in-patient care facility and was “aware, talking a little, but a long way from her normal self.” While Kim has been steadily improving since, Jessica said the 53-year-old “is dealing with significant expressive aphasia and significant memory issues.”
“She can read, write, and understand pretty well, but she has trouble finding the words to respond. It is hard to deal with and it takes a lot of patience to communicate with her, but I thank God every day that we can still communicate with her at all,” Jessica wrote. “The doctors continue to be blown away by her recovery, considering where she started, and her determination is the driving force of that.”
Jessica said the situation with her mother added to how sick Jessica felt when Damar Hamlin went into cardiac arrest on the field last month. The 28-year-old said her “stomach sunk” because it “felt like the exact same thing all over again.”

“I had a heart scare” Ex-Cardinals DE J.J Watt drops bombshell truth behind his retirement decision
February 11, 2023
J.J Watt was a fan-favorite defensive end of the NFL. After the player retired last year, his fans were left in tears and wanted him to make a comeback. His return to the NFL is very unlikely as he now clarifies why he initially called to retire.
The major reasons for his retirement are tied to his family and health issues which are both interconnected. Even if he played with his severe health condition, it would not make much difference. Rather, it would just risk his chances of survival.
Earlier this week, Pardon My Take featured the former star defensive end on the show, where J.J Watt revealed the truth behind his retirement.
In the show, J.J expressed that he learned about his health condition after attending a meeting just after practice. He was feeling light-headed and had some sensations in his heart.
When it repeatedly happened on the second day, he became concerned and went to see the team trainer. After checking his heart pulse, the trainer suggested the defensive end see a doctor, which “scared the sh*t out of” Watt, J.J said.
Afterward, it became a staircase routine for the 33-year-old as getting sent to the team doctor, Watt was further suggested [sic] to see a cardiologist. The cardiologist viewed the condition of J.J, and he did not have good news and wanted to send him to a specialist. With so many suggestions from the health team, Watt became even more frightened. The specialist could not help him much and sent the athlete to another doctor.
Even though the final results were not much concerning, Watt chose to retire since he is a “professional athlete,” and has more chances of risking his life than others. Thinking about his family and wanting to spend time with his son Koa, J.J chose to retire.

WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler Rushed to Hospital After Suffering Medical Emergency
February 7, 2023
Jerry Lawler suffered a medical emergency while staying at his condo in Florida on Monday, according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider. Lawler was reportedly out for lunch with his friends before becoming ill and was rushed to the hospital. According to Action News 5 in Memphis, Lawler is recovering in the hospital after undergoing surgery.
[ABV “background”:]
This is not the first medical emergency for "The King" as he suffered a stroke in 2018. And on Sept. 10, 2012, the 73-year-old suffered a heart attack while working on WWE Raw. 10 minutes before the heart attack, Lawler competed in a tag-team match, partnering with Randy Orton against CM Punk and Dolph Ziggler. In a 2017 interview, Lawler talked about what happened that night.

Caddie collapses, rushed to hospital during AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am
February 3, 2023
PEBBLE BEACH — A caddie collapsed at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am on Friday.
The caddie, whose name is currently being withheld due to privacy concerns, was working for one of the amateurs, Geoff Couch, in this week’s tournament. The amateur was paired with PGA Tour players Beau Hossler and Max McGreevy.
The collapse occurred on the 11th hole at Pebble Beach during the second round. Medical professionals performed CPR and emergency maneuvers on the caddie, with the caddie eventually placed on a stretcher and taken away by ambulance. A PGA Tour spokesperson confirmed the incident, with the tour releasing a statement that the caddie was rushed to Montage Health for evaluation.
According to ESPN’s Paolo Uggetti, the group was shaken up and appeared to be at odds with a rules official whether to continue play. The group was allowed to step aside to allow other groups to play through. In a statement, the PGA Tour confirmed the foursome was allowed to halt their rounds in order to regroup.
“At the direction of the PGA Tour Rules Committee, the players in that group paused play during the medical emergency and will be allowed to warm up and resume their rounds shortly,” the statement said. “We will provide additional details when available.”

I had to sit and listen to some friends parroting the ludicrous commodio cortis explanation during the game yesterday. I simply have no more energy to fight with these drones. But they all scoffed at the wet market idea. Amazing. Once jabbed, they can’t face the reality of their idiocy.
I wonder if the NFL has become more proactive looking for heart damage after the scare with Hamlin, instead of just checking out players that complain of pain like Watt did.
Very unfortunate for Watt, going from NFL superstar to the fear hanging over him at only 33. Hopefully he shares his recovery protocol as he will have the world's best doctors trying to prevent SADS from striking him down.
