Portugal's President rushed to hospital after fainting on university visit
July 5, 2023
The president of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, was hastily hospitalized on Wednesday, 5, after fainting during a visit to a university in Costa de Caparica, south of Lisbon. According to information, Rebelo de Sousa was transferred “as a precaution” to the hospital de Santa Cruz for medical examinations. According to sources in the Office of the Presidency of Portugal, the head of State “fainted due to an indisposition” after visiting the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the new University of Lisbon. The head of the president's office, Fernando Frutuoso de Melo, later explained to reporters outside the hospital that Rebelo de Sousa quickly regained consciousness after fainting. "It must have been due to the heat or the intense schedule, he probably hadn't eaten,” he said. Frutuoso added that the president talks without difficulty. The 74-year-old conservative politician has been president of Portugal since 2016 and is in his second term. He had previously fainted in 2018 during a visit to Braga, in northern Portugal, due to a drop in blood pressure. Rebelo de Sousa underwent surgery for several hernias in 2017 and 2021, and in October 2019 underwent a catheterization in which several major coronary obstructions were detected, which were treated during the procedure.

There was a three minute time out which then turned in 15 minutes while Taifoe waited to see if the match would continue.
However, he was deemed to be fine as he came back out to Court 3 to continue the first-round clash.

Melbourne dancer survives rare flesh-eating infection
July 7, 2023
Caitlin Cooper's dance career was soaring until early last month when she hurt her foot during a solo training session.
Two days later, the Melbourne 17-year-old was rushed to hospital.
She was in acute pain, losing consciousness and her foot was swelling rapidly.
"It was the size of a balloon," she said.
"I did a backwards roll and all I did was bang the top of my foot really hard on the floor."
An astute Northern Health plastic surgeon diagnosed her with the flesh-eating infection necrotising fasciitis.
Cooper said she was at real risk of losing "my leg or my life".
Necrotising fasciitis is caused by bacteria from a cut or wound, although it can happen after blunt trauma.
It is rare but has been around for thousands of years.
"It's just shocking, I can't believe it," Caitlin said.
My daughter who just became a PA will tell you it can’t be the vaccine. She believes all the bs she was taught. Fully jabbed and boosted. I am sick with worry. And yes she calls me a conspiracy theorist. Of course. For the truly indoctrinated this is hopeless.
Prof. Miller, you have done an invaluable service to the world in diligently cataloging these events. The story is to be constructed from these individual stories. Perpetrators, crooked bureaucrats, criminals and propagandists always try to shuffle the individual puzzle pieces around so that the larger pattern cannot be detected. This is always a "tell." (But you know that.)
