Four performances that feed the heart and soul
Get down, everybody! (This joy is what we're fighting for.)
Glen Campbell plays “The William Tell Overture” on acoustic guitar, in Central Park, 1974:
Flash mob in German shopping mall exults in mash-up of timely anthems by Michael Jackson and Queen, in April, 2021:
Eric Clapton sings “While My Guitar Gently Weeps,” with Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Dani Harrison and other great musicians, playing at the Concert for George in London, 2002:
Led Zeppelin’s re-records “When the Levee Breaks” with musicians from around the world (all of them playing separately, for now):
Good stuff, but I prefer the clip of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" at the Hall of Fame induction with Prince suddenly appearing to deliver a sensational guitar solo. George Harrison's son looks at him in awe. It's quite amazing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6SFNW5F8K9Y
Oh a world wide musical flash mob against the pharma/government cartel would be amazing! Music brings people together. That's the beautiful thing when you see the protests in Canada. People are dancing and singing, together. We can believe different things and still co exist. I can live without fear or a mask or a jab and someone else can walk the same street in fear, with a mask or hazmat suit and a jab. The problem arises when one begins forcing their belief on another. If one lives in that much fear, they have Uber and curbside pick up to protect them. It's time for one big intervention for all those who want to imposition others because of their own fears. It's time to stop being co dependent and just reach out in love with truth. Offer the help they need but stop feeding the addiction to lies and fear. Stop tip toeing around their delusions. Just be kind and straight. Don't donn a stupid mask to make them "feel" better. It doesn't help. Stop playing the game. Ask them to dance.
