Paul Cattermole of S Club 7 died of heart-related issues on April 6, his death certificate reveals. The British singer, who was 46 at the time of his death, died of cardiac arrhythmia, acute myocardia ischemia, and severe coronary artery atheroma and intraplaque hemorrhage, according to the certificate obtained by People. Last month, the Dorset Coroner’s Office announced that Cattermole “died from natural causes” and said the investigation into his death was “our investigations have “concluded.”

Tributes pour in for Team GB legend Mike McFarlane who dies aged 63

British athletics is mourning the loss of Olympic silver medallist and Commonwealth champion Mike McFarlane, who has died at the age of 63. McFarlane won his Olympic medal as part of the 4x100m relay team at the Seoul Olympics in 1988. He shared the gold in the 200m at the Commonwealth Games in Brisbane in 1982, which he followed up with silver in the 4x100m relay and 100m bronze four years later. Double Olympic decathlon champion Daley Thompson led the tributes as he wrote on Wednesday: 'Very sad day as I lost another friend, Mike McFarlane.”

Ricky Gervais and long-term partner Jane Fallon were left in mourning over the weekend, as Jane's sister, Gerry, sadly passed away due to cancer. Ricky's partner, Jane Fallon, shared the news on her Twitter feed with a photo of her and Gerry together. In the photo, Jane wore a stunning red tropical-print dress, with an oversized belt and her hair tied up in a bun, while Gerry looked so elegant in a floral dress with matching belt. In her caption, Jane shared: "My lovely sister, Gerry, passed away at the weekend. Here we are last year when she was in the middle of chemo, but loving the straight wig after a lifetime of curls."

Heartbreaking tributes have been paid to a talented young footballer who died suddenly after a cardiac arrest. Myles Christie, 15, who played as a striker for Brewood Juniors Football Club in the Walsall Junior Youth League, died on May 24. Steve Phillips, who coached Myles at Brewood Juniors, said: "We are all truly heartbroken by the events of the last week and our thoughts are with the family who have all been with us since Myles joined at under-7s in 2014.”

Tributes have been paid to a "wonderful young man" with a "passion for performance" who died at a Welsh music festival. Schoolboy Rhys Murray died suddenly aged 16 after suffering a serious asthma attack. The teen had been at the In It Together festival at Old Park Farm in Margam, Neath Port Talbot. Police said they were called to the site on Friday 26 May but the boy died on his way to hospital.

A young paramedic died from a rare and aggressive form of lung cancer just weeks after marrying her partner. Meadhbh Cameron was told she had six to eight weeks to live just two days before Christmas last year. The 24-year-old was diagnosed with stage four combined small cell lung cancer, an extremely aggressive and rare form of cancer. The paramedic had been in hospital with a patient when she suddenly coughed up a blood clot and an x-ray showed a shadow in her left lung. Meadhbh's husband Lee said she also had been suffering from a cough at night but had no other symptoms.

Swindon man died at GWH after complications from bowel surgery

A 41-year-old Swindon man died after suddenly developing unexpected complications following an elective bowel surgery. David Long seemed to be recovering well from an operation at Great Western Hospital last March but was re-admitted just 12 hours later in severe pain. An inquest held at Swindon and Wiltshire Coroner's Court on Friday morning determined the cause of the 41-year-old's untimely death. The inquest heard that, despite undergoing an emergency procedure and receiving appropriate medical care and antibiotics after returning to the hospital, Mr Long died there at around 7 am on March 16, 2022. Doctors' reports noted that he had "suffered a rapid and profound deterioration" and had "an unusually profound negative response to these complications". Surgeons found that his bowel was leaking into his abdomen and promptly carried out a laporotomy to repair the leak and empty the affected area, but Mr Long did not fully recover from the operation. “At postmortem, David was found also to have dilated cardiomyopathy which would have reduced physiological reserve and more likely than not contributed to his death."

Grimsby - A man has paid tribute to his "loving and caring" wife, who has died from a rare form of cancer. Raj Johal, who was 46, moved to Grimsby when she was just three years old and spent much of her early life working in the Star supermarkets, owned by her parents, of the Nijjar family, before meeting Amit, who became her husband, at university. Sadly, she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of granulosa cell tumor (GCT), a type of ovarian cancer, two years ago. Now, months after her death, Amit is climbing Mount Snowden – alongside 100 of her friends – to help raise awareness of the disease.

Staff at the John Street eatery said Kaya was like a "ray of sunshine" as they honoured her after the devastating announcement. North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) reportedly sent two ambulances to the property but the baby was confirmed to have died at the scene.

A Leeds dad-of-six's death has caused “heartbreak” after his heart suddenly “stopped” while cycling in Roundhay Park. Lee Thomas Woodriff, 36, died of a cardiac arrest on Friday, May 19. The Gipton man, who was known as Woody, has been praised for his kind generous nature and will be dearly missed. His best pal Christopher Johnson said: “He was funny, very outgoing and he’d help anyone. He’d give someone his last pound, that’s the kind of person he was. He liked a bit of fishing and beer, like any typical adult. He was good at fixing cars.”

The "heartbroken" family of a mother who was flown back to the UK after being left in a coma in Turkey has confirmed she has died. Melissa Kinsella, of Wirral, suffered a seizure on 15 May as her family were about to board their flight home. The 30-year-old arrived at hospital in Merseyside on Wednesday after £50,000 was raised to pay for an air ambulance. She had been on holiday with 16 family members when she collapsed at the airport.

A man's body has been found in a car park at a Scots nature reserve. Emergency crews raced to Balgavies Loch near Forfar, Angus, on Tuesday following the tragic discovery. The 42-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. He was found in a car park near the loch. Cops have confirmed that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

Paddleboarder dies after being pulled from the sea off Sussex coast

A man has died after getting into trouble in the sea off Worthing beach. The man in his 70s, reported to have been paddleboarding, is thought to have suffered a medical incident at around 5.40 pm on Sunday, May 28th. Air ambulance crews landed on the beach at around 6 pm while the man was handed over to the care of South East Coast Ambulance Service but police have now confirmed that he died.

A former Miss Bikini Ireland has died 'unexpectedly' aged 32, prompting an outpouring of tributes. Judy Fitzgerald from Co Limerick also known for her appearance on First Dates Ireland last year, after she featured on the programme last March.
She passed away on Saturday according to a death notice, which said she will be 'sadly missed by her heartbroken parents Liam and Imelda, sister Lucy, brother William, brother-in-law Pedro'.

Portlaoise, Co Laois - An inmate has been found dead in his cell in Ireland’s most secure prison wing, it has emerged. The Mirror has confirmed that Galway man Gerard Barrett (50) died in his cell at the National Violence Reduction Unit, part of the Midlands Prison in Portlaoise, Co Laois. Nobody else was involved, sources say, and his death is being treated as a personal tragedy. Barrett was on remand for an alleged robbery.
