The Crown cast mourns the loss of a colleague. Haydn Gwynne (66) started her career as an actress in 1984. The Brit was even nominated for a BAFTA Award in 1992 for her role in the comedy series "Drop Dead Monkey." She also made a big name for herself on Broadway. She became known to a larger audience in the series "The Crown", in which she played Susan Hussey (84). But now sad news is becoming public: Haydn has died.

The 73-year-old, who was also known for his work with Private Eye, was on his way to the magazine's party in London when he collapsed on Westminster Bridge. Despite a quick response from emergency services, they were unable to save him.

John Vidal, the Guardian’s former environment editor, has died aged 74. He died peacefully on Thursday in hospital, where he was being treated for cancer. Vidal reported on the environment for the Guardian for almost three decades until retiring in 2017, calling it “the greatest job on Earth”. Afterwards, he continued to report from around the world with his trademark energy and enthusiasm and published a book, Fevered Planet: How Diseases Emerge When We Harm Nature, in June this year. The tributes to Vidal remember his pioneering environmental journalism and highlight his passion for social justice, the underdog and putting people at the center of his stories.

Tributes have been flooding social media platforms today after the sad news that former local radio newsreader, Sharon Plummer, has died at the age of 39. Sharon Plummer (nee Williams) was given the devastating diagnosis in September of Stage 4 cancer, just 9 months after giving birth to her daughter Jemima. Sharon (Shazza!) was well-known in local radio here in Sussex, having covered all manner of news stories as a journalist and presenter for Sovereign Radio in Eastbourne, Arrow FM in Hastings and Splash FM in Worthing (all now More Radio). More recently, she’s recorded news, voiceovers, and audio books for numerous clients across the country from her home studio in Lincolnshire.

Tabby Brown, a Playboy model, fashion designer and music video star, has died. She was 38. Brown's cause of death has not yet been specified. Her passing was confirmed to The Sun on Tuesday by her former manager. The London-based model established a name for herself starring in music videos with Snoop Dogg and B.o.B., along with appearing in Cosmopolitan and Elle. She also made headlines for dating soccer players Raheem Sterling and Mario Balotelli. Brown was linked to Balotelli for seven months before splitting, telling The Mirror in 2013 that she "really fell" for him.

The 60-year-old died suddenly at home in Claudy on Sunday and was one of the most well-known members of the Oak Leaf GAA community. Peoples was the owner of the Glen Bar on the Dungiven Road in Claudy and he worked with Derry GAA in a host of senior county board roles including county secretary, vice-chair, cultural officer, and treasurer.

Lexi Thompson's former caddie on the LPGA Tour, Kevin McAlpine, has died suddenly at the age of 39, according to a report. Per The Courier, the looper is said to have been 'unwell' but his family believed he was on the mend. His father Hamish told the paper: "We can confirm that Kevin has passed away in America. We are completely in the dark about what has happened. It is true that he has been unwell but we believed he was on the mend." He added: “There is to be an autopsy and at the moment there is very little we can say. We really don't want to talk about this at this stage. As a family we are completely devastated. You can imagine how we are feeling."

A retired greengrocer has died after muscle pain turned out to be a sign of a fatal illness. Steve Adams' grieving family issued a heartbreaking tribute to the much-loved 61-year-old from the Welsh town of Abergavenny. He died on Wednesday, October 18, after getting a diagnosis of lung cancer, in January. He was misdiagnosed with general muscle aches months before he received his cancer diagnosis. By the time he was finally diagnosed with cancer, he was told it was terminal.
Man who died after heart problem was dismissed as anxiety was seen by physician’s associate

A 25-year-old who died from a heart hemorrhage after being diagnosed with a panic attack had been seen by a non-medical school trained physician associate (PA) but not a doctor, it has emerged. Ben Peters, 25, attended the emergency department at Manchester Royal Infirmary on the morning of 11 Nov 2022 with chest pain, arm ache, a sore throat and shortness of breath. While waiting, he endured a “severe episode of vomiting”. Peters was diagnosed with a panic attack and gastric inflammation by the PA and sent home with two medications, after a supervising consultant, who the coroner found never reviewed the patient in person, agreed with the diagnosis. Less than 24 hours later, Peters died from a rare complication of the heart that had resulted in a tear of the heart’s major artery, known as aortic dissection, and led to a fatal hemorrhage.

Emotional tributes have been paid to a 'beautiful, brave and inspiring' toddler who has died following a battle with cancer. Gracie Tudor was diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma in March, with the plucky two-year-old going on to face numerous rounds of chemotherapy and eight-and-a-half-hour surgery to remove a tumour on her right adrenal gland. Treatment continued with high-dose chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant, with her parents Claire Jones and Stephen Tudor saying she'd "smashed" the first session. But earlier this month, the Kingswinford family were given the devastating news that Gracie had relapsed and said they'd made the "heartbreaking decision to bring her home on palliative care".

The head brewer of Stirchley based Birmingham Brewing Company has died age 30. Robert Huckfield died on September 15, just a day before his 31st birthday. The brewery announced Robert's death to its followers on social media the day after his funeral, which was held at Streetly Crematorium on Tuesday, October 17. The head brewer was a 'friend to many', the brewery said, adding that their close-knit team is devastated by the loss. Posting to followers on Facebook, the Birmingham Brewing Company wrote: "Rob was a friend to many of us before he joined Team Brummie as our energetic Head Brewer. His sudden death has devastated each and every one of our close-knit team, and the wider beer community amongst whom he was respected.”

Lincolnshire - A family are planning an ultra-marathon to remember a 'selfless' North Kelsey man who suddenly died at his friend's funeral. Roland East, 71, was attending a funeral when he collapsed and subsequently died in the church in March this year. It wasn't until after his death that his family were told he had an undiagnosed heart condition. David said: "I'll be running a 72-mile lap from Roland's farm and back with a few people joining me along the way. We decided to go for 72 as that's how old he would have been this month. Along the way, my friends will be keeping me going at various intervals and my wife Alice will be following me in the car."

Appeal launched for horse's upkeep after devoted owner died suddenly aged 42

A fundraising campaign has been launched to provide care for a horse whose owner died suddenly leaving her family in shock. Clare Banks, 42, suffered a heart attack in her shower but spent seven days on life support before dying in hospital a week later. The mother-of-one and lifelong animal lover's horse Tallulah is at a Walsall Wood stables. Her family requested no flowers for last Friday's funeral but to contribute towards the costs her horse which they will now incur without her devotion and love.

Man (38) who died in Wicklow crash was from Arklow

A 38-year-old man, who was pronounced dead after his vehicle collided with a parked car in Arklow on Monday evening, is said to have been from the town. Gardaí and emergency services were alerted after the car struck a parked car shortly before 8 p.m. on Abbey Street, which remains closed as the garda forensics team conduct their investigation. Unconfirmed local reports suggest that the driver was experiencing a medical emergency at the time and was trying to get to the local Caredoc service when the crash occurred. The driver was treated at the scene by emergency services personnel but pronounced dead a short time later. There were no passengers in the car, and the parked car was unoccupied at the time.

The comedy series Haydn Gwynne was in, back in the 90s, was called 'Drop the Dead Donkey', not 'Drop Dead Monkey' - it was set in a local newspaper office and signified that something actually newsworthy had turned up!
