The former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Benin, Emeritus Professor Osayuki Godwin Oshodin, has died at the age 71 years. A brief statement signed by his brother, Mr. Christopher Oshodin, on behalf of his family, said he died in the early hours of Sunday May 29, 2022 in Benin City, Edo State after a brief illness, at the age of 71.
“It is a time of grief for us children, and family as we mourn his sudden death”, the statement said. “The family shall in no distant time release details of his burial arrangement just as we pray to God to comfort those he left behind in this period of our mourning”, the statement added.
The erudite scholar and Emeritus professor was until his demise a professor of Health Education.

Kisumu deputy commissioner Munyasi found dead

Nyakach deputy county commissioner Sylivester Baraza Munyasi is dead. Munyasi is said to have collapsed and died. He was found dead on the verandah of his residence by the watchman on Sunday morning at about 7 am.
Kisumu county commissioner Josephine Ouko confirmed the incident.
Ouko termed Munyasi's death as sudden and send messages of condolences to the family and relatives. The body has been taken to Aga Khan hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem. Ouko told the Star that the deceased has served in Nyakach subcounty for about three months.

After news of his sudden death sent shockwaves across the entertainment industry on Tuesday, Jamie Bartlett's partner Rosa Onious has revealed his cause of death. "We got the autopsy results, and they said it was cardiac arrest," she said. Bartlett died in his sleep on Monday evening.
