The founder of the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, is dead. A statement from her family confirmed the unfortunate incident on Tuesday morning. They, however, didn’t reveal the cause of her death. Describing the late filmmaker as an epitome of creative transcendence, the Emmanuel Onyechere Osigwe Anyiam-Osigwe clan described Peace as an outstanding personality, trailblazer, titan, pathfinder, go-getter, humanitarian, one-of-a-kind creative, and visionary leader in the film and television industry. “Peace left indelible imprints on the sands of time. We as a family and clan will continue to do all that is necessary to ensure that her legacy lives on,” the statement read.

The ambassador of Mali to Gabon died in his room

His death was recorded at the Akanda army instruction hospital located in the north of the Gabonese capital where the Malian diplomat was taken almost lifeless. The causes of his death are not yet known exactly. Mamadou Mandjou Berthé who had presented his credentials to Ali Bongo on September 2, 2022 was known to be hypertensive. He was also diabetic. Before Gabon, Mamadou Mandjou Berthé was stationed in Brussels in Belgium from 2019 to 2022.

Legendary boxer and former WBA heavyweight champion Gerrie Coetzee has died more than a week after being diagnosed with lung cancer, his manager confirmed Friday. He was 67. Coetzee, who was considered a unifying force in South Africa during the height of apartheid, passed away in Cape Town on Thursday, his manager Thinus Strydom told The Associated Press.

Moshe Ugur, 34, passed away last Thursday (5.1.2023) after collapsing and dying in the Clalit health fund at the Bialik branch in Ness Ziona. Last Thursday he made an appointment for the vaccine for him and his mother. At the last minute, she couldn't come and Moshe went alone around noon to get the fifth coronavirus vaccine. About an hour later, he collapsed and died.
"Moshe called me after the vaccination and told me that he was still in the clinic," his mother Malka describes. "It was noon. Fifteen minutes later, he called again and told me that he wasn't feeling well and that his blood pressure had risen and he was also vomiting. I told him to rest because maybe he was excited about something. After 20 minutes, he called again and said he had rapid heart palpitations and found heart palpitations on the HMO examination." After his death, the media claimed that he suffered from underlying medical conditions. But the family insists that he suffered only from diabetes and high cholesterol. His relatives explain that every three months he did a sugar test, and occasionally had to inject insulin. "The diabetes was very balanced and Moshe was closely monitored by the family doctor, there were no complications with the disease," Malka describes. Moshe had no heart disease, no heart problem. "He started to feel unwell right after the vaccine – how does this happen? True, I can't state anything unequivocally, but his evacuation was also delayed by an hour. But I will wait for the autopsy, I promised Moses on the grave at the funeral that I would bring justice to light. I don't want that to happen to any more families."

He began working in Kharkov Aviation Factory in 1988 straight after he graduated from Kharkov Aviation Institute, becoming a specialist engineer-mechanic. He occupied the post of general director of KhGAPP for 5 years between 8 July 2002 and 8 May 2007.

Tourist from Kuzbass Mysteriously Died on Holiday in Thailand

The body of a tourist from Kemerovksy region was found at the beginning of January in a single occupancy room in the three-star hotel Cosy Beach Hotel 3 in Thailand. The 49-year-old Kuzbass resident flew to Thailand from Novosibirsk on the 27 December, he was due to be there until the 9th January. The insurance firm notified the relatives of the Kuzbass resident that indications of a violent death were not found on the body, but that the date and cause of death were unknown.
