Seized by illness while he was having dinner with a group of friends, a 57-year-old man on holiday in Bibione [Italy] died in the arms of his wife. It happened yesterday evening, Thursday 10 August, at Lido del Sole. It is here that the man, O.V. born in Kazakhstan but living in Germany, was suddenly taken ill. While he was with a group of friends, he collapsed to the ground and passed out. The alarm immediately reached 118 which sent the doctors of the local first aid point to the scene. Staff tried to revive the 57-year-old tourist. Unfortunately every effort was useless: the man died in his wife's arms. The body was transferred to the morgue in Bibione to await repatriation.

Caorle - Austrian mother dies on the bus in the arms of her 15-year-old son

Caught by illness in the bus with which she was leaving for Austria, a woman on holiday in Caorle [Italy] dies in the arms of her son. The tragedy took place yesterday afternoon around 3 pm in the seaside town. This is where the woman, S.K., 51 years old from Linz, had arrived to spend a short holiday in the company of her minor son and a group of friends from Austria. The group was preparing to go home after the period spent in Caorle. Yesterday the group got up early to pack their bags and then hit the road. Once the duties were over, the party had lunch and was practically starting the return journey, suddenly the bus stopped on the Trieste waterfront when the driver heard the boy calling his mother, whom he thought had fallen asleep. When some friends heard the screams of the son, they approached and discovered that the woman was not conscious. In the meantime, an off-duty Italian doctor arrived at the scene and took turns with two local agents to provide first aid. Rescuers tried for a long time to restart the 51-year-old's heart. Unfortunately after several attempts they had to give up in front of the tragic truth: the woman died of a heart attack. Her body was covered by the sheet on the Trieste seafront, closed to traffic. Having informed the magistrate of the Pordenone prosecutor's office, the body was then transferred to the morgue of the Caorle cemetery. It was the local police officers themselves who contacted the family of the unfortunate woman who were waiting for her at home. The son was then entrusted to some friends of the same group who accompanied him to his destination.

Ms. Cavaglia worked in legacy media, her last job being that of editor-in-chief of the equestrian magazine Kavallo. Like many others, trusting the authorities and big pharma, she received a series of Covid injections that rendered her unable to work, in part due to Myalgic encephalomyelitis, or chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS), which is, as per the CDC, ‘a disabling and complex illness’. Before coming down with ME/CFS, Ms. Cavaglia was an active woman in her mid-fifties, liked hiking and being outdoors. After vaccination, she was unable to function. A few days ago, Daniela Cavaglia ended her life with the help of assistance-in-dying organisation ‘Exit’ on 7 Aug. 2023.

These days, friends and the mountain biking community received the sad news that Miha Halzer passed away at the age of 39. A member of the local KD Hrastnik and later the Energija team from Domžale and a national representative, he made his mark in the history of Slovenian and also world mountain biking with his achievements in cross-country elimination or eliminator. He won silver medals both in 2012 at the World Championships in Saalfelden and a year later at the European Championships in Bern. In the 2014 season, he also achieved his only victory in the World Cup in Novi Mesto, Moravia, before the discipline was dropped from the World Cup. Before he found himself in this sprinting and technically demanding discipline, Miha competed as a youth in Olympic cross-country, in which he was also the youth national champion in 2002 and 2003. In the 2005 season, he appeared in the downhill.

I met Carmen when, after finishing her medical degree, she took the MIR exam and after getting a very good grade with which to opt for any specialty, she chose Medical Oncology at the Valencian Institute of Oncology Foundation, in which I was the head of the Service. Unfortunately, cancer, that disease to which she had dedicated her career, has ended her life. Our deepest condolences to her husband and son, her parents and all her family and friends for such a sensitive loss. It is very difficult to find words of relief and comfort for them at this time.
