Luigi Piccatto, historic artist of Dylan Dog, has died

The world of Italian comics this morning mourns the passing of one of its most illustrious 'sons'. In fact, Luigi Piccatto , one of the most famous masters of comics in our country, has passed away at the age of 68. Born in Turin on 13 July 1954, Piccatto made his debut in the world of comics at the end of the 70s, but the professional experience that positively marked his life and career dates back to 1986, when Sergio Bonelli Editore - which was and is still currently the main Italian publishing house of comics – calls him to be part of the artistic team of the then newborn “Dylan Dog ”, cult character created by Tiziano Sclavi. A few tens of minutes after the announcement of his untimely death, social networks are already filling up with messages of condolence from the many comic book fans who loved his creations.

37-Year-Old Italian Swimmer Reportedly Took His Own Life After a Long Period of Suffering Due to COVID Vaccine Reaction

Claudio Rais, a personal trainer, swimming champion, and a man full of dreams, died at the age of 37. Mr. Rais reportedly took his own life by jumping off the Rosello Bridge, the highest and most important bridge in the city of Sassari in Italy, according to Swim for Life Magazine. Rais was struggling with his health after he suffered an adverse reaction following his third dose of the COVID vaccine on February 10, 2022, a Moderna dose after the first two Pfizers, Alghero Live reported. Claudio’s Facebook page was filled with uplifting and motivational posts about his passion for coaching others and swimming until he began experiencing negative side effects from the COVID vaccine. On September 28, 2022, Claudio wrote a lengthy post describing his ordeal about the COVID-19 vaccine reactions:
“But how do you still allow yourself …? … are you really so presumptuous as to seriously think that a person who has dedicated all of himself to sports, physical activity, and the well-being of himself and others … can stop everything from one day to the next and spend thousands of euros on visits of all kinds because he is dreaming of being unwell? I was damaged by a reaction that together with the effects of COVID has created very serious neurological and physiological damage that is literally PREVENTING me from living a normal and respectful life.”
Ancarano, a 12-year-old boy probably dies due to a sudden illness

A 12-year-old boy died last night in Ancarano in Teramo probably due to illness. Little Michelangelo was enjoying himself in the courtyard of his home, in the small town of Teramo, when he suddenly collapsed to the ground. His parents, his mother of Russian origin and his partner, a 58-year-old from Ankaran, found him lifeless shortly before dinner time around 20.30. The alarm was sounded on the spot and the 118 health workers promptly intervened who could not do anything but ascertain the death of the boy. The carabinieri of Ancarano and Alba Adriatica also intervened. The magistrate on duty, Silvia Scamurra, ordered the transfer of the body to the morgue of the Mazzini hospital in Teramo. An autopsy was performed in the morning to ascertain the cause of death. A tragic event that plunged the couple, defined by all as calm, and the other two adult children into grief.

Colle Sannita, 16-year-old dies suddenly: community in shock

This morning a real tragedy happened in Colle Sannita that affected the whole community and also the Bosco Lucarelli Institute of Benevento in an absurd discouragement. For reasons to be clarified and ascertained, a 16-year-old young man, Costanzo Mascia, a student of the institute near the Basilica of the Madonna delle Grazie, sadly passed away. The boy had been feeling unwell for a few days but until Wednesday he regularly attended school, not yesterday as a student assembly was scheduled. And just yesterday afternoon hospitalization at the San Pio di Benevento became necessary for the parents as Costanzo's conditions showed no sign of improving. Unfortunately, the doctors and nurses could do nothing in the face of the consequent cardiac arrest that tragically extinguished the young man's life.

The Genzanese community is mourning the sudden death of a boy, whose life was extinguished at the age of 30, in the outskirts of Genzano. The young man passed away after an illness near Largo Giovanni Falcone, at the intersection of via Monte Giove Nuovo, via Milano and via Borsellino, which occurred on the afternoon of Saturday 11 March, to die two days later, Monday 13 March. The victim was seen staggering before falling unconscious to the ground. A crowd of people immediately formed around him, and the doctors who arrived with the ambulance rushed him to the Castelli hospital, where the young man then passed away two days later. The causes of death will be clearer after the autopsy ordered by the magistrate on duty, which will be carried out at the Tor Vergata Polyclinic, where the body was then transferred. The young man (of which for now we only provide the initials, G.F.) would have had a fatal illness and he was alone at the moment in which he collapsed to the ground.
San Miniato – 30-year-old footballer dies of an illness

It is mourning in the area for the untimely death of Pietro Fanfani, a 30-year-old footballer who lived in Ponte a Egola, in the municipality of San Miniato, son of Ivano, coordinator of the forest fire service of the Misericordia di San Miniato. The young man died after a sudden illness, returning home from work in the late morning of last Saturday (11 March): his wife Evelin Torres Campo, with whom Pietro had married in 2018, had found him. The footballer was on the ground without senses. Thus began the rush to the hospital. Admitted to the San Giuseppe hospital in Empoli, his heart didn't make it and he died.

Cristian Cardarelli died at home, where he lived with his parents, in Via Colmurano. Yesterday afternoon around 6, a family member entered the house and found him sick. The 118 service was called immediately and arrived shortly after, with the police, but could not do much more than state his death. Cristian leaves his parents, uncles and aunts and nieces and nephews. Funeral will be tomorrow 19th.

Monreale – 39-year-old man found lifeless at his home

This morning in Monreale, the lifeless body of a young man was found in a house in the historic center. It concerns a 39-year-old young man who was found dead in his apartment in Monreale. Despite the intervention of the 118 personnel, alerted by the man's wife, of Indian origins, nothing more could be done for the man. The carabinieri also arrived at the scene.

She apparently following a brain aneurysm that didn't give her a chance despite surgery and timely medical care. The 57-year-old woman lived with her husband Roberto De Marchi, an entrepreneur and her children Andrea and Debora in Sant'Angelo di Piove di Sacco. Her death occurred at the Sant'Antonio hospital in Padua where she was hospitalized immediately after Monday's illness.

Drama in the swimming pool of the Terdoppio sports facility in Novara. Yesterday morning, Wednesday 15 March, a 72-year-old man suddenly fell ill while swimming in the tub. Massimo Gioan, 62 years old, originally from La Spezia and recently resident in Borghetto Vara, while driving his car on his way home, he collided head-on into a minibus carrying five people, four adults and a child. Despite the terrible impact he did not die instantly, the 118 personnel who arrived on the spot tried to revive him, the Drago helicopter of the fire brigade was also alerted to transport him to Genoa, but unfortunately his heart has stopped beating. The cause of the terrible collision in a stretch where the road is not particularly wide could have been a sudden illness while he was behind the wheel. Witnesses to the accident said they saw the car driven by the man, which was proceeding in the direction of Brugnato, suddenly zigzagging for no apparent reason, then ending its run in the opposite lane against the minibus carrying some people who were participating at the kayak and rafting meeting in Val di Vara. The illness at the moment is only a hypothesis, the coroner who intervened was only able to ascertain the death. The prosecutor on duty, Elisa Loris, could decide to carry out the autopsy in the coming days. The occupants of the van, a man, three women and a child, are not injured, so scared but few consequences due to the impact, even if the van had some damage in the front.

Verolanuova – 55-year-old man dies at the gym

Struck by a sudden illness, probably a heart attack, while he was training in the gym: it's the sad fate of a 55-year-old man. The drama took place in the late morning of today, Monday 20 March, in a sports center in via Civiltà del Lavoro in Verolanuova. The man would have felt bad while he was participating in a spinning class: he would have collapsed suddenly under the eyes of his classmates and the instructor. The call to the single number for emergencies was triggered at around 12.30 and the rescue machine moved quickly: in a few minutes the volunteers of the White Cross of Leno arrived, and the team of a self-medication. Unfortunately, the efforts of the doctors were in vain: the 55-year-old's heart never started beating again. Shortly afterwards, the Verolanuova carabinieri also arrived and were responsible for investigating the case. According to initial findings, there would be little doubt about the natural causes of death.
