We are mourning the loss of our colleague Dieter Müller [64], who died unexpectedly in Mexico on August 12th. Like many of his generation, he was active in the solidarity movement with the liberation movements in Central America and was particularly committed to Guatemala. He joined Medico international in 1988 without finishing his geography studies. When Dieter left Medico after more than 30 years, this could only be endured because he went to Mexico as an office manager for the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation. He was happy as the office manager of the foundation, traveled a lot, again also to his beloved Guatemala, whose political development is so bleak. After a short serious illness, Dieter Müller died far too early on August 12, 2023 in Mexico City. We are inconsolable about this loss of an indomitable and our thoughts are with his family.
