Bar patron dies in the Zona Rosa, victim of a heart attack
April 13, 2023
A man died, after apparently having suffered a sudden heart attack while he was in a bar in the Zona Rosa, belonging to the Juárez neighborhood, in the Cuauhtémoc mayor's office. According to witnesses, the approximately 50-year-old man apparently fainted and fell from a chair he was occupying while drinking a beer, at the establishment with the social name "Boomers Grill and Bar". After falling backwards to the ground, the witnesses tried to help him, but he no longer responded to the calls, so the people in charge of the place requested the help of policemen who were patrolling the place. The paramedics arrived looking to resuscitate the man without success, under the gaze of employees of the restaurant bar and several curious people who came to find out what had happened.

There are 9 deaths due to heart attacks on the street, and the infernal heat
April 12, 2023
In recent days, there has been an increase in the number of cases of heart attacks on public roads in the population of Tabasco, Mexico. From March 8 to yesterday, April 11, nine cases of deaths due to myocardial infarction have been reported, which has generated alarm among the population, especially in this season of high temperatures. On Tuesday, April 11, three new cases of deaths due to heart attack were reported. The first of them occurred when 36-year-old José Carlos was walking along Quintín Arauz Street in the city of Villahermosa with his wife. A sudden cardiac arrest surprised him and took his life. Later, in the municipality of Macuspana, a 45-year-old man also lost his life due to a heart attack. On the same day, one more death was reported in the Plaza Villahermosa subdivision, this time it was a 66-year-old man who also suffered a heart attack. These deaths highlight the seriousness of the situation. These are in addition to those that have occurred since March 8, when a man died while driving his car on Nueva Imagen Avenue in the Oil colony, in the city of Villahermosa. On March 22, four people between the ages of 47 and 62 lost their lives due to heart problems, heat stroke and high blood pressure, all related to the high temperatures that were being recorded. That day at dawn, a 65-year-old woman was also found dead on the street in the Tamulté neighborhood of Las Barrancas; while high temperatures and heart problems caused the death of three more people in the Casa Blanca, Linda Vista and Carrizal neighborhoods. The latest death was that of a 60-year-old man who lost his life due to heat stroke while participating in a football match in the fields of the Carrizal subdivision.

The LDS Church’s “vaccination” mandate:
All missionaries are encouraged to be “good global citizens” and be vaccinated against COVID-19, including the primary series and boosters. For senior missionaries to serve outside their home country, this vaccination is required. It is recommended but not required for young missionaries serving outside their home country unless the assigned country requires it.

Grief, shock as young medic dies
April 13, 2023
The death of medical intern Bilal Abayomi, whose story of overcoming the odds resonated with Jamaicans last August, has left young medics shocked and grief-stricken. Abayomi, 22, collapsed some time after 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday while with family members at membership shopping retail chain PriceSmart, The Gleaner was told. He was reportedly rushed to the University Hospital of the West Indies in St Andrew, where he was placed in the intensive care unit. The young doctor was subsequently declared brain dead, a Gleaner source with knowledge of the situation said. He was officially pronounced dead early Wednesday morning. In a Gleaner interview last August, Abayomi was open about his struggles with mental health issues, depression, and anxiety. “I’ve had these all my life. Those are things that I struggle with. I also suffer from attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). I suffer with a lot of medical issues,” he said at that time. The medical issues included a pulmonary embolism, which caused him to be hospitalised in August 2021. He had presented with severe blood clots and repeatedly coughed up blood, which resulted in partially damaged lungs. But after days and endless rounds of treatment, medics saw a vast improvement in his condition.
No cause of death reported.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Abayomi attended medical school at The University of the West Indies, Mona:
Shortly before he experienced his pulmonary embolism in August 2021, the school had implemented a mandatory “vaccination” policy announced May 2021:
This is to advise that in order to maintain a safe living environment for our staff and students, persons wishing to reside in a hall of residence, including 138 Student Living facilities on the Mona Campus, must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Evidence of vaccination, with any of the approved vaccines, must be provided to the relevant Student Services & Development Manager in order to secure accommodation in the halls of residence.

I just went to a couple of weather sites and looked up the weather on the days the deaths in Tabasco, MX occurred. It was interesting to look at the monthly temperature summaries too. On the days the deaths were reported to occur (March 8, March 22, April 11) it was not that hot, and not all day long. The weather peaked at 96, 92 and 94 respectively. The spread over the day when the temperatures were that high was only about an hour or two, maybe 3 at the most (I didn't take a lot of time calculating this, it was at a glance).
The interesting thing is that in some of the cases the week or weeks prior or after the days with all the deaths were much hotter, in the low 100's in some cases, and for the entire week the highs were in the high 90s - low 100s.
I live in Mexico, in a different area, but in my 60s I have gone hiking with a large group in temperatures that exceeded my thermometer which went into the 100s. All Mexican except myself and another American. Most were in their 50s, many overweight, some obese. I was the oldest in my 60s. We hiked several miles, out in the beating sun for hours, with backpacks on. We were all sweating like crazy and complaining about the heat and no one even felt faint. This was of course, before the experimental death jab trend.

I collected plenty more stories from Mexico and Brazil. Presumably they missed the deadline, and will be added to next week's article!
Especially Brazil is a charnel house at the moment....
