Track and field community mourning beloved ACIT assistant coach John Whaley, 56
May 30, 2022
The phone calls are what Bobby Laws misses most.
Twice every day, the Atlantic County Institute of Technology track and field head coach talked with his friend and assistant coach John Whaley. Every morning at 8 to talk about the day ahead, to plan, to strategize. Every night at 9:30 to review the day’s events, exchange ideas and start preparing for the day to come.
Those calls stopped April 27 when Whaley, of Mays Landing, NJ, died suddenly at 56, one day before he would have been with the RedHawks at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia.
“We’re just trying to heal, but we have our moments,” his widow, Keisha, said Sunday. “It still seems so fresh and unreal.” They were married for 25½ years and raised seven children, including his stepdaughter, together.
Whaley meant so much to so many. His family, of course, and to his ACIT student-athletes, sure. But also to the local track and field community at large. Before a May 3 meet at Egg Harbor Township High School, coaches from ACIT, EHT, Vineland and Atlantic City gathered at the starting line for a moment of silence. A brief bio was read aloud to acknowledge what Whaley meant to the track community. Finally, a starter’s gun salute.
No cause of death reported.

'The pain doesn't stop': Grieving husband of slain Texas teacher dies suddenly after visiting wife's memorial
May 26, 2022
Joe Garcia had just placed flowers Thursday morning at the memorial site of his high school sweetheart Irma Garcia — his wife of 24 years and mother of their four children.
When he returned, he sat down at a kitchen table surrounded by family and suddenly collapsed, according to his nephew, John Martinez. Efforts to revive him were unsuccessful.
The Archdiocese of San Antonio and the Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary also confirmed Joe Garcia's death.
Irma Garcia was one of two fourth grade teachers who — along with 19 children — died Tuesday in a hail of gunfire at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas.
"What happened was my Uncle Joe went to go leave flowers for my Tia (Aunt) Irma, his wife, and whenever he got back, he sat down at the kitchen table with his entire family, and after 3 minutes, he just fell over. I'm told my mom was giving him chest compressions. It happened around 10 o'clock. I know my little brother was there," Martinez of San Marcos, Texas, told the USA TODAY Network in a telephone interview.

Sixth inmate dies in NYC jail system this year
May 29, 2022
A Rikers Island inmate was found dead in his cell Saturday — the sixth person in custody to die this year in New York City’s jail system, sources said. The inmate, who was described by jailhouse sources as 20 or 21 years old, was found unresponsive with blood coming from his nose inside the Robert N. Davoren Center, jailhouse sources said. It wasn’t clear how long the man had been dead, but his death does not appear to be a suicide, according to sources.
Medical staff found no pulse on the inmate and left him there until a medical examiner arrived. The man had been charged with murder in February and robbery and was due back in court this week, according to records.
The sudden death shook some staffers at the center, where young adults are housed, sources said. It was the inmate’s first stint in jail, one source told The Post. “He was in his cell, blood coming out of his nose. We don’t know how he died,” the source said. “He was just a kid.”
The latest comes in the wake damning federal report that found the conditions in the troubled city jail systems to be “severe and potentially life-threatening.” The last inmate to die in custody was 31-year-old Mary Yehudah, who was found unresponsive in her cell on May 18. She died just 10 days after a 25-year-old inmate hanged himself.
Last year, 16 people died in city lockups — the most since 2013.

All 16 Runners Who Collapsed and Runner Who Died at Brooklyn Half Marathon Said They Were Vaccinated
May 23, 2022
It is an absolute fact that all the runners who participated in the Brooklyn Half Marathon on Saturday declared that they had been vaccinated for Covid-19. Whether or not that is relevant to the unprecedented number of runners who collapsed or even the man who died during the event is another story.
Saturday's running conditions were unusually hot and humid, even at 9 a.m. when the participant David Reichman is reported to have died shortly after collapsing after the finish line.
According to The Daily Mail: "Sixteen people who participated in the 13.1 mile race were taken to a hospital, according to the FDNY. Five suffered serious injuries, eight people had non-life-threatening injuries and four people sustained minor injuries."
The Brooklyn Half Marathon requires that participants are in peak physical condition and must conform to a rigorous pacing schedule.
"Members of the NYRR Pace Team will be on hand to guide participants toward specific goal times over the 13.1 miles," the RBC Brooklyn Half website states. "Pace Team members will lead groups at various paces between 6:06 per mile and 13:45 per mile (between a 1:20:00 finish and a 3:00:00 finish)."
All Brooklyn Half participants must declare that they have been vaccinated for Covid-19, the official websites makes clear.

Tragedy as man dies mid-flight from Accra to Washington
May 24, 2022
Gospel artist Daniel Toffey Jr, who has roots from the Jomoro area in the Western Region of Ghana but resides in the United States of America (USA), had come to Ghana with his father and mother to attend the funeral of an in-law. They left Accra on Sunday night, May 22, 2022.
But unfortunately, tragedy struck on board United 997 while in the middle of the Atlantic when the young Daniel died in what is suspected to be a case of pulmonary embolism. A report by Dntghana said Daniel Junior died as his father Daniel Toffey Sr. looked on helplessly – in flight. “He kept saying ‘Daddy I can’t breath, Daddy I can’t breath,’” the senior Toffey narrated to DNT in an interview.
After having sat for a while, the victim was said to have attempted to stand up to go and use the restroom when his movement became shaky and was soon gasping for air.
One young lady shouted “we need a doctor, we need a doctor.” At that moment, what appeared to be a sixth sense got the senior father to jump from his business class area and rushed to the scene although the flight crew instructed everyone to remain in their seats.
Unfortunately, with as many as seven doctors on board, and with tools with which those doctors were “impressed” for United Airlines to have on board, Daniel Toffey Junior, who worships with PIWC in Columbus North still suffocated to death in flight.
The flight took off from the Kotoka International Airport around 11 pm on Sunday and was scheduled to arrive at Washington Dulles early on Monday. But as a result of the tragic incident, the flight was diverted to Bermuda where all 178 passengers were lodging at Grotto Bay Resort pending their continued travel to Washington.

The bar-restaurant moved to downtown Melbourne in 2014 as Chumley's Depot. Darnell, co-owner and manager, credits his friend with continuing to cultivate a judgment-free atmosphere after the move — "we don't care if the jukebox is playing Drake or Johnny Cash, as long as the music's playing.”
Gaines died unexpectedly on May 10 at his Melbourne home. He was 50. His namesake bar closed for a week while its small staff grieved.

My fear of knowing someone who dies suddenly through this mess is now not a fear, but a known entity. I found out the other day a long time acquaintance died in January during emergency surgery with donations going to heart and stroke. She taught at Dalhousie University and was most likely required to have covid shots. https://everloved.com/life-of/anne-marie-ryan/obituary/
Steve Kirsch has found an Attorney General willing to help stop the covid shot craziness. He is looking for people that work in the Healthcare field (any capacity from Doctor, Nurse, Paramedic…. to other) to give him just a small amount of time. See link in article below.
Please share this with any you know that work in Healthcare.
Thank you.
We have a red-pilled Attorney General!!
