Beijing's Shunyi district has dismissed one official and punished three others for the delayed emergency rescue of a man suffering from heart attack during the epidemic that eventually caused the sudden death of the patient, according to a notice issued by the district on Sunday.
The patient, surnamed Song, called the 120 emergency number on May 11 at around 3:30 am after feeling pain in his chest. A few minutes later, the district 120 center appointed a doctor, a nurse and a driver to carry out the rescue mission. Upon learning that the community where Song lived was under epidemic control, the medical team had to call a local hospital several times before learning that the hospital had received positive COVID-19 cases and could not receive Song.
At around 4 am, as the medical team was turning to another hospital to confirm treatment, Song's girlfriend told the medical team that Song was still feeling pain in his chest, sweating and feeling a sense of fatigue, the woman also specified that Song did not have a medical history of heart attacks. Meanwhile, the newly found hospital, suggested the patient should be sent to another facility as their ability to treat patients with heart attack was relatively modest.
It was not until Song's girlfriend informed the medical team that Song's symptoms were getting worse by the minute, that the emergency rescue set off at 4:25 am, an hour after the first call.
Song underwent cardiac arrest on the ambulance. He was admitted to the emergency ward for resuscitation, but never regained consciousness. At 7:24 am, Song was declared clinically dead, with a preliminary diagnosis of sudden death.

Petaling Jaya - A 21-year-old footballer who represented Selangor in the President’s Cup tournament collapsed and died after a match at PKNS Kelana Jaya last night. Deputy Petaling Jaya district police chief Ku Mashariman Ku Mahmood said the youth had played for Selangor against Johor last night.
When he went to a food court near Sunway X Park for dinner with his teammates, he started having breathing difficulties and then collapsed. Ku Mashariman said Petaling Jaya police were alerted to the matter at 9.58 pm, adding that the victim had a history of asthma attacks. They found the man lying unconscious near the food court’s toilet.

Cause of UUM student’s death still unknown

Petaling Jaya - Police are waiting for the autopsy report on the death of a female student at Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) in Sintok, Kedah, last Saturday. Kubang Pasu district police chief Rodzi Abu Hassan confirmed receiving a report on the death of the 21-year-old student, identified as R Vinosiny, but the case had been classified as sudden death for now, Harian Metro reported.
He said initial investigations found that the student was believed to have had a seizure, but police were still waiting for the chemist’s report. In a statement, UUM also said it was still waiting for further reports on the student’s death. Its corporate communication unit said Vinosiny was a Bachelor of Accounting (Information Systems) student.
“The university is still waiting for the full autopsy report from the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital forensic department in Alor Setar. However, UUM will help ease the burden of the deceased’s family by channelling appropriate assistance to them. The vice-chancellor and the university express our condolences to the deceased’s family,” it said.

Kalikotes Villager Suddenly Dies While Looking For Grass

Purworejo - A farmer named Sarman (67), a resident of Kalikotes Village RT 1 RW 2, Pituruh District died suddenly while looking for grass for his livestock feed. The incident occurred in a yard belonging to a resident of Dusun Temanggunganlor RT 01 RW 05, Rejowinangun Village, Kemiri District, last Thursday (19/5).
According to witness testimony, Somiran (74), a resident of Rejowinangun Village, the victim while looking for grass called witness Somiran.
"At approximately 10.30 WIB the victim shouted for witness Somiran to ask for help from the person concerned, who at that time was looking for grass not far from the victim," he explained. Then, he continued, the victim complained of shortness of breath and chest pain to witness Somiran. Then the victim also asked the witness for help to take eucalyptus oil.
Before leaving the victim, said AKP Miswanto, witness Somiran summoned witness Nasrodin (69), a resident of Rejowinangun Village to accompany the victim while massaging the victim.
"After being scraped by witness Somiran, the victim said goodbye because he felt good. Approximately 50 meters away, the victim was weak and vomited, and the victim died at the scene." The body of a man was found dead in Glanggang Hamlet, Glanggang Village, Pakisaji District, Malang Regency. The poor man died suddenly after grazing in a sugarcane field, Tuesday (24/5/2022). Sukamto, 8 Ilir Village, Ilir Timur III District, Palembang, Monday (30/5/2022) at around 08.00 WIB. The man was identified as Johan Oemar (54) a resident of Jalan Pertiwi II No. Demang Lebar Daun Village, IB District 1, Palembang, driving a white Toyota Rush with the license plate number BG 1389 ZJ.
Iwan (40), a tissue seller who usually sells at the Patal Red light intersection, said the victim was alone in the car he was driving. "He was driving himself," he said when met at the scene. Iwan saw that the car the victim was driving suddenly swerved towards the red light from Jalan R. Sukamto.
The car just stopped after hitting two other cars that were waiting for a red light. "One pickup, the other a private car that he hit. Now the two cars are gone," he said. Meanwhile, the victim's body has been evacuated by the family along with the police and then taken to RSRK Charitas Palembang.
A woman was seen crying hysterically when the man's body was brought into the ambulance.

Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti's family have been struck by tragedy after his young cousin's sudden death. Nicholas-Roma Tipungwuti, 19, died from a sudden illness on May 14, just days before his Essendon star cousin shocked the AFL with his early retirement.
Nicholas-Roma was a budding football talent and played for the Sandgate Hawks in Queensland. He was known as 'Tippa' by his team-mates - the same nickname Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti carried during his career.
The 19-year-old was born in Darwin and grew up on a small outstation on the Tiwi Islands, known as the Ranku community, with his parents, older siblings and extended family. Tipungwuti was raised in Brisbane and went to several catholic primary schools before attending St Patricks College. He discovered his passion for volleyball at high school, but AFL was always his first love.
He was set to head to Cairns for training next month after being accepted into the Australian navy before his tragic passing.

Jillian Snell’s sudden death shocked and saddened her family and colleagues. A relaxing day at Elizabeth Beach, part of the Booti Booti National Park, turned into tragedy when she lost consciousness and died while frolicking in shallow water.
If she’d had a choice I think she would have loved that: enjoying fresh air, in the sun, with her family, then getting the dying bit over and done with with the minimum of fuss.
Jillian was born Jillian Southgate in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1950. Her father, Dr Ivan Southgate, his wife Joan and their children migrated to Australia in 1964. The Southgates cared for animals, at one stage a possum was treated as a family pet, and for years Joan acted as a volunteer at Taronga Park Zoo.
Once the children were safely off to school and life started to be a bit calmer, Jillian began to immerse herself in local community activities, especially native bush regeneration. Doing this she was introduced to an orphaned grey-headed flying fox, and its plight struck a chord in Jillian’s heart.

Lily was married to Mexican star Ulises Davila, who spent four years on the books at Stamford Bridge.
The 31-year-old now plays for Sydney A-League team Macarthur FC.
He has been left devastated by the passing of his beloved partner this week, while the football community has reached out to comfort him.
Macarthur FC said: "We are saddened to hear Ulises Dávila's wife, Lily has tragically passed away overnight.
"The club would like to express its heartfelt condolences to Uli, Uli Jnr and the extended family during this difficult time."
