WOOSTER – Wayne County Regional Training Facility Executive Director Erica Springer died unexpectedly Tuesday, according to a news release from the agency.
Springer died of "medical-related causes," said Wooster Township Fire Department Chief Dallas Terrell, who was named interim executive director until further notice.
"She did a fantastic job as executive director, and there are some big shoes to fill," Terrell told The Daily Record.

Bill Forrest, a senior engineer with the city of Galt, died suddenly on April 4, city staff announced at the April 5 meeting of the Galt City Council. Forrest had worked for the Public Works Department for more than 15 years.
“(Forrest) was responsible for all aspects of development on the public works side,” Public Works Director Mike Selling said during the meeting. “He was a stalwart engineer and was a wealth of knowledge for staff, myself included.”

Dr David Heward-Mills died at age 31, the church announced in a statement.
He was a psychiatrist in Columbia, South Carolina.
In a statement, the church said: “It is with deep regret and great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing away of David Heward-Mills, after a short illness. David was the first son of our Founder and Presiding Bishop”.

Arts community grieves death of Bend potter and musician Michael Gwinup

Family and friends in the Bend arts community are reeling after the sudden death of well-known local artist and musician 67-year-old Michael Gwinup.
A Bend resident since 1976, Gwinup suffered a heart attack on March 31 at Mt. Bachelor while snowboarding with a friend, his daughter and son-in-law. Medical personnel reached him quickly, but efforts to revive him were unsuccessful. Gwinup is survived by his wife, Michele, their two children, Matthew and Melissa and their spouses, April and Patrick, along with five grandchildren.

Virginia Beach, Va. — The community is mourning the loss of a Virginia Beach father, husband and businessman. If you don’t know Jeffrey Allen Goldberg’s face, you may know his voice. He was also a local radio DJ.
Jeff Goldberg died unexpectedly on Friday. We are told he passed away in his sleep.
When you showed up at Goldberg’s deli, Route 58 Delicatessen, he’d be there slicing pastrami and corned beef. He actually wanted to install a microphone by the slicer so he could yell at people when they came in and sat down. But his manager won out on that discussion and refused to let him do that because she thought Jeff Goldberg was too loud already.
