Rome- At the age of 61 and after spending his last hours in an irreversible coma, Matteo Messina Denaro, the last godfather of Cosa Nostra, the Sicilian mafia, died this Monday in the detainee sector of the Aquila hospital. After being arrested in a clamorous police operation, he continued to treat his illness in L'Aquila prison, where he was detained under the harshest prison regime for gangsters.

Roberto was a beacon for aspiring actors approaching the theater. His passing leaves a void that is difficult to fill. An artist, a professional and above all an exemplary man. His death comes suddenly, like a bolt from the blue. Nobody would have ever expected it. Roberto Sturno was born in Rome in 1946 [77]. He made his theater debut in “Macbeth” in 1971. Throughout his career he has worked with prominent companies and directors. His most lasting collaboration is certainly the one with Glauco Mari, started in 1981 and consolidated in 2005 with the creation of the Mauri-Sturno company. Roberto Sturno has always shown impressive versatility on stage, where he brought flair and magic. One of his best performances is certainly the one in Schmitt's “Enigmatic Variations”, but also in “Crime and Punishment” and “Endgame”. Sturno leaves behind two sons, Vanja and Mirò, and his wife Stefania Micheli.

The site manager discovered the tragedy during an inspection. The plumber was on the ground and the architect immediately raised the alarm, calling for the Suem ambulance. But for Raffaele Bogo, 60 years old, resident in Vicenza, there was nothing left to do. What struck him down, in all likelihood, was a fatal illness, which didn't even give him time to ask for help. The contours of the tragedy that occurred late on Monday afternoon on the hills of Camaiore, where a 43-year-old man lost his life while transporting an excavator, still remain to be defined with certainty. It happened in this steep and narrow uphill street, via Colletto Santucci. The worker, Roland Cizmja, of Albanian origin but resident for many years in Versilia, employee of a construction company in Camaiore, was found lifeless on the side of the road around 6pm with a serious head injury. According to the initial reconstructions carried out by the Municipal Police, it was a fatal accident at work. He was driving a company tractor towing an excavator that needed to be taken back to a warehouse: the vehicle was stopped near his body. The 118 and Misericordia rescuers could only confirm his death. There are several hypotheses that investigators are working on. It could have been a large branch, suddenly detached from a tree, that hit him, causing him to fall to the ground. Or a sudden illness that would have caused his head to hit the concrete curb on the road. The dynamics are still being reconstructed. The man was married and had three small children. A tragedy that destroyed a family and generated deep pain throughout the Camaiore community.

A 76-year-old man from Fermo was found lifeless along a country road in the Massignano area, on the border with Campofilone. The victim was on the ground next to his car, a Ford Kuga. The body was discovered by a woman of foreign nationality who, according to what she told the rescuers, was taking a walk in the open countryside, a few kilometers from the Adriatica state road, on the hill not far from the 'I Sapori dei Monti' farm. Once the alarm was raised, the Ascoli 118 operations center sent a crew from Potes di San Benedetto to the scene, together with a fire brigade team. When the paramedics arrived, the man was already dead and the emergency doctor could not do anything other than confirm that he had died. The carabinieri of the Pedaso company took care of identifying the body and reporting what happened to the Fermo judiciary.
The man's body has been made available to the Fermo Public Prosecutor's Office. No injuries were found on the man's body, so the most probable hypothesis is that he may have been struck by a sudden illness.

Campertogno – 52-year-old mushroom hunter dies in the woods of Valsesia

The tragedy occurred on Saturday morning in Campertogno, as reported by our colleagues at notiziaoggi.it. Two friends had gone out early in the morning to look for mushrooms in the Piana area. One of them fell ill. The friend immediately raised the alarm and the men of the Alpine Rescue Service of the Guardia di Finanza intervened on the spot, as well as 118. Unfortunately there was nothing left that could be done for the man.

Robecco sul Naviglio, man found dead in front of Villa Gaia

This is Umberto D'Acunto, 50 years old, who lived a short distance from the place of discovery. Along that Via Matteotti, a road that connects the center of Robecco with the old Scalini bridge, which at that time was completely deserted. Despite the immediate intervention of the White Cross rescuers and the ambulance there was nothing that could be done for him. He had already been dead for a few hours. But only the autopsy examination will be able to establish the time of death and the causes. The Carabinieri of the Abbiategrasso Company are investigating the incident. When he was seen this morning he was on the ground with his bicycle on top. He was probably returning home late at night and suffered a sudden cardiac arrest which led to his death. The soldiers remained on site for several hours. An initial external examination revealed no significant traumas that would suggest an attack. Investigations will also continue to reconstruct the man's life.

Venice. Illness after a dive: expert diver Paolo Bressanello dies

Venice – A dramatic episode has shaken the community of divers and water sports enthusiasts in the Veneto. Paolo Bressanello, 66 years old, an expert and passionate diver, died following a sudden illness between the Lido and Punta Sabbioni. The accident occurred while he was emerging from a depth of approximately 18 meters near a "tegnua", an underwater promontory, located 4 nautical miles off the port of Venice.
When he fell ill, his diving colleagues and friends who accompanied him immediately noticed the critical situation and dived to bring him to the surface. Promptly contacting the coast guard, they raised the alarm in a desperate attempt to save him. The events took place around 2.30 pm 24 September. At that point a race against time began to try to save Bressanello's life. While colleagues on board the vessel began first aid maneuvers, the coast guard intervened and escorted the vessel to the nearest rendezvous point on land. The port in question is located in the Cavallino-Treporti area, opposite the artificial island of Mose. At Punta Sabbioni, upon the arrival of the boat, the health and medical staff of the Green Cross were already waiting, ready to intervene.

A 46-year-old Italian woman, Valeria Pasqua, died in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, after falling ill during a scuba dive. The 46-year-old diving instructor, born in Genoa but who had lived for several years in Caorle, in the province of Venice, died due to an aneurysm that struck her while she was in Egyptian waters. The woman had moved to the Red Sea some time ago where she met her husband.

Tragedy on Tuesday morning in Santa Maria di Leuca, in Salento, where a 73-year-old tourist from Milan died during an excursion. According to what we learned, the man was on board a catamaran with his wife and a group of friends. Arriving in front of the Three Doors Cave, the victim and the others jumped into the water to bathe. Former employee of the Italian Post office, later sanitary worker, Rosario had 2 passions in sports - Grosseto and Juventus. Lately he had started working in a hospital where he did intern transportation. He leaves his friends stupefied, his colleagues and family in mourning. The town has just recovered from the death of the 48-year-old Kathiuscia Paghi on the 16th. Two lives cut short within days, two friends who went to school together, and now both died within this short time span.
