Dario Acquaroli, one of the mythical figures of the XCO in Italy, died suddenly at the age of 48 on the morning of Sunday April 9 while riding a bicycle. According to several Italian media reports, the cyclist had left by bicycle to have lunch with his sister, but he did not arrive at his destination. Some cyclists found him dead on a track in the Cespedosio area. Although the causes of death are unknown, everything points to a sudden death due to heart failure. After the cyclists who found him were notified, a healthcare helicopter traveled to the scene, but the healthcare workers could only certify the death of Dario Acquaroli. Tragedy this morning at the Di Cristina hospital in Palermo, where a baby girl of only 15 days to live died shortly after her arrival in the emergency room. Marco Meschini, a prison policeman on duty at the Montacuto prison, died suddenly in the night between Tuesday and yesterday (April 5), in his home in Cantalupo di Filottrano. A small fraction where everyone knows each other and where this sudden death leaves a lot of disbelief: Marco had an athletic physique, he was always under medical supervision as an Avis donor, never an anomaly found, nor a small sign of heart pain. Yet Marco Meschini was struck by a heart attack while he was lying in bed. His wife Stefania noticed the illness from her husband's wheezing. The man who lost his life on the street in Viale Kennedy in Pescara on the morning of Saturday 8 April was only 50 years old. The 50-year-old, based on the reconstruction of what happened, took to the streets to help a neighbor who had a broken down car. So he started pushing the car in an attempt to get it going again. But suddenly he didn't feel well and collapsed. Immediately raised the alarm on the spot, the 118 rescuers intervened who proceeded with resuscitation maneuvers, also using the defibrillator, given that the man was in cardiac arrest. But unfortunately the actions tried did not give the desired result and death was declared. The carabinieri of the local Company also intervened on the spot and took care of the necessary investigations at the end of which the body was returned to the victim sister since it was a natural death. It seems that the 50-year-old already had health problems. The last farewell will be given on Monday 10 April with the funeral scheduled in the church of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Rosary in via Cavour at 11.

Tragedy on Easter morning in Vezza d'Oglio: a 60-year-old woman was struck by a sudden and fatal illness while walking along via Nazionale, the main street of the town. The alarm was raised just before 10 by some passers-by who saw the 60-year-old collapse and immediately lose consciousness at street number 7. Bloody night on the streets of Bentivoglio, where around 10 pm last Friday the 39-year-old Giuseppe Pesce, a resident of Baricella, lost his life following an accident with his car. For reasons yet to be ascertained, his Peugeot 208 left the roadway in via Saletto, perhaps due to a distraction or sudden illness. After falling into the drainage ditch that runs alongside the road, the vehicle overturned several times, ending its trajectory in a field. Pesce was stuck in the passenger compartment and was found lifeless when ambulance services arrived. Firefighters and law enforcement officers attended the scene. The local police of Reno Galliera are investigating the incident.

Albignasego. A 46-year-old man residing in Padua, had illness while driving, dies in hospital

Tragedy today April 5 in Albignasego. A 46-year-old man residing in Padua, while behind the wheel of his car, would have been the victim of a sudden illness that caused him to lose control of the vehicle. Immediately aided, it became evident that his clinical picture was strongly compromised. Transported in red code to the hospital in Padua, the doctors who immediately took care of him tried everything to revive him, but in the end they had to give up. From the first investigations it seems that there are no injuries on his body caused by the crash such as to justify his death. This supports the hypothesis that the crash was caused by a sudden illness which was ultimately lethal for the driver. The police were on site to investigate the case. The car in which he was traveling was seized pending the closure of the investigation file.
