Thane – Thane-based actor Parag Bedekar, who made an impression with his roles in Marathi serials and dramas, passed away due to a heart attack. He was 47 years old. Occasionally, he acted in several plays like Nathuram Godse. His role in the serial Abhalmaya was also popular. On December 13, he suffered a heart attack at 8:30 pm and died. He was cremated on the morning of the 14th. His departure is causing grief in the entertainment industry. Well-known writer Chandrasekhar Gokhale has also written a post on him.

He died yesterday at 6 pm in New Delhi due to a heart attack. After retirement, he lived in a flat in Perandur in Elamakara, Ernakulam. He was admitted to the hospital after suffering a heart attack on Wednesday morning but died in the evening.

New Delhi: A 12-year-old boy died of cardiac arrest after collapsing in the school bus in the Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh on Friday, doctors said. According to reports, the doctor who treated him said the child may be the youngest victim of the heart issue that he knows of. The family of Manish Jatav, a class 4 student said he boarded the bus to get back home from school after he had lunch on the school premises with his brother. The bus driver alerted the authorities and Manish was rushed to the hospital, but the doctors failed to revive him. "Manish was brought dead to the hospital on Thursday afternoon. We gave him cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) but could not revive him. As per his symptoms, he died of cardiac failure," district hospital surgeon Dr. Anil Goyal told reporters. "Such incidents have risen after Covid-19 as per a study. It is possibly the first time someone this young have died of cardiac arrest in MP," he added. Health experts say that there has been a sharp increase in incidents of Sudden Cardiac Arrest or SCA among youngsters, mostly due to sedentary lifestyles, diabetes, increasing consumption of alcohol, smoking, and hypertension.

Pollachi, Coimbatore - Senthil Kumar hails from Periyapodu near Anaimalai in Pollachi, Coimbatore district. His daughter Nagajothi is 11 years old. She was studying in Class 6 in a government school in the area. Nagajothi was unwell for the last two days. As a result, she did not go to school and stayed at home. Nagajothi, who was at home on the day of the incident, suddenly developed a seizure and fainted. Shocked by this, her parents immediately rescued their daughter and rushed her to a private hospital in Ambarampalayam. There she was given first aid treatment. She was later shifted to a Pollachi government hospital for further treatment. The doctors who examined Nagajothi there said she was already dead.

Earlier on the evening of December 13, Soc Trang Provincial General Hospital handed over the body of Lam Thi Do (49 years old, living in An Thanh Ba commune, Cu Lao Dung district), who was detained by the police of Cu Lao Dung district. During the detention period, on the morning of December 9, Ms. Do was hospitalized by the police at Soc Trang General Hospital for treatment. According to initial information, when Mrs. Do was hospitalized, the police officer accompanying her said that the patient was tired. Then Mrs. Do was shocked, the doctor discovered that the patient had multiple stenosis of the coronary arteries. The doctor then placed 5 stents to save the patient. However, due to the disease progressing too quickly, Mrs. Do suffered a stroke and died on the evening of December 13.

Ministry says fourth death possible linked to vaccine

A fourth person has died in New Zealand where a link to the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine could not be excluded, the Ministry of Health has announced. The Covid-19 Vaccine Independent Safety Monitoring Board notified Te Whatu Ora of the death. "This is a tragic circumstance, and the board expresses their sympathy to the individual’s whānau and friends," a statement by the Ministry of Health read. The board first reviewed the Centre for Adverse Reactions Monitoring (CARM) report relating to the death in March 2022, and again in April 2022. "However, at the time, there was insufficient information to determine the potential role of the vaccine in the death. The Board met again in November 2022 to reconsider the case after receiving further information, which showed that the individual had myocarditis at the time of death." The board now considers the development of myocarditis in the person was "possibly" due to the vaccination, the statement read. Te Whatu Ora and the board would not comment further about the case and asked for the victim’s whānau’s privacy is respected. The case is currently with the Coroner.

Man found dead at Rotorua Emergency Housing hotel

Emergency services were called to Lake Rotorua Hotel on Sunday after a man was found dead in his room. Police were alerted about 1.20 pm. A spokesperson said there was nothing to indicate any suspicious circumstances. The Lake Rotorua Hotel is one of 13 Government-contracted emergency housing motels in Rotorua. A man who lives at the motel told the Rotorua Daily Post tonight people were shocked to learn the man had died. “The cleaners come every Tuesday and do a thorough clean through of the rooms and yeah he was all good then.” He said one of the residents knocked on his door after they became concerned they hadn’t seen him since Wednesday. It was then he was found dead.
