The famous Congolese singer and dancer Tshala Muana has died at the age of 64, according to her producer and companion, Claude Mashala.

"In the early hours of this morning the good Lord has made the decision to call back Tshala Muana," he posted on Facebook. Tshala Muana is considered the "Queen of Mutuashi", a traditional music and dance from her native Kasai region. She was famous for several songs such as Karibu Yangu, Malu and Tshianza. She had toured widely overseas, won several awards on the national, continental and global scene and had recorded over 20 albums. Her music also appeared in the soundtrack of the popular 1987 Congolese musical film La Vie est Belle and Aya of Yop City. Muana, whose real name was Élisabeth Tshala Muana Muidikay, was also often affectionately called "Mamu National", which means the nation's mother, for her vocal defence of the rights of women and children in the Congolese parliament. Congolese people online have been mourning her death, including former presidential candidate, Seth Kikuni, who thanked her for her work and "great contribution to the Congolese culture". In June 2020 she was rumoured to have died, but was instead hospitalised after a stroke.

Moshe Mizrahi, a former member of Knesset for the Labor Party and former head of the Investigation Department of Israel Police, tragically passed away early Sunday morning at the age of 72. “What a great loss,” said Labor Party head Merav Michaeli. “Moshe Mizrahi, a great soul, a dear man for whom the path of truth was always at the forefront of his mind, fighting corruption constantly and fearlessly. A retired deputy commissioner of the Israel Police and an incredibly committed MK.”

Domestic violence suspect dies suddenly in police custody

Nicosia - Police are investigating the death of a 64-year-old man who passed away in Nicosia on Sunday, while under arrest for a domestic violence case. According to police, on Sunday afternoon members of the force arrived at the man’s home – who had a pending arrest warrant – to respond to a domestic violence report against him. When the officers arrived at the house, the man started fleeing, however, police managed to capture and arrest him. While being transported to the police department, the 64-year-old collapsed, therefore the officers changed direction to head towards Nicosia General Hospital. There he was pronounced dead, shortly after being admitted. A coroner’s autopsy will determine the exact cause of death.

Tekinay Olpak (48), who worked as a civil servant at the Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation in the Gölhisar district of BURDUR, died of a heart attack. Tekinay Olpak, who works as a civil servant at the Gölhisar District Governorship Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation, fell ill at work this morning. Olpak, who was taken to Gölhisar State Hospital by ambulance, was transferred to Isparta after the first intervention there. Olpak, who had another crisis in the ambulance near Çavdır district, was taken to Çavdır State Hospital. Despite the intervention made here, Olpak lost his life.

Second World Cup journalist dies suddenly while covering tournament in Qatar

A second journalist has died whilst covering the World Cup, it has been reported. Photojournalist Khalid al-Misslam from Qatari news channel Al Kass TV was confirmed to have passed away on Saturday. The Gulf Times, another Qatari news outlet, sent their condolences to the family of Al-Misslam, writing: “Al- Misslam, a Qatari, died suddenly while covering the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. We believe in Allah's mercy and forgiveness for him, and send our deepest condolences to his family.”

Baku - Giyas Nadzhafov, a worker at the Ministry of Youth and Sport, has died. According to Baku.ws, quoting Qafqazinfo, the leader of the ministry Nadzhaf Nadzafov gave a statement. He added that Giyas Nadzhafov had died suddenly as a result of a sudden cardiac arrest. He worked as the leader of Republic's Centre for Exercise Culture and Nizaminsky Regional Department for Youth and Sport.

In the family of Arkadii Inin there is mourning. The son of the author - who wrote the scripts for films 'Offered for Singles' and 'Weather Is Good on Deribasovskaya, It Rains Again on Brighton Beach' - passed away. Konstantin was 44. His son was a writer and dramatist living in Ukraine. Recently Konstantin travelled to Turkey, while there he died on the 13th November. The tragedy was told by a friend of the deceased, photographer Gennadi Avramenko. "Kostya Inin has died, they say his heart failed."

At the age of 48, Belarussian and Russian actor and producer Sergei Zygmantovich died suddenly. In Russia, most of his popularity came about due to his filming in several seasons of serial 'Kamenskaya'. He was born in 1974, and in 1999 he graduated from the Belarussian University of Culture and Art. He played a role in approximately 40 Russian, Belarussian and joint projects. The actor died on the 9th December, but the media has only just reported this. His cause of death is unknown.

Death of Omsk Ministry of Foreign Affairs leader Evgenii Kosintsev

Omsk - On Wednesday 7th December, leader of the state department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Omsk region, Evgenii Kosintsev, passed away. He was 61 years old. Evgenii Kosintsev previously worked as leader of the Department of Industry and Technological Innovation in the Economic Ministry of Omsk region. The cause of death for the high level bureaucrat has not been named, it is only known that he died after a short illness.

Omsk - On Monday, 12 December, several months after he celebrated his 60th birthday, Omsk archaeologist Yevgenii Danchenko suddenly passed away. Omsk State Pedagogical University - where Danchenko worked as a reader in state history and was deacon of the history department in the 1990s and beginning of the 2000s - communicated this news. Yevgenii Danchenko was born 13 August 1962 in Omsk. He graduated with distinction from the Omsk State Pedagogical University history department. He became a postgraduate at the USSR Institute of Archaeology in 1990.

In Sochi, young father Vladimir Khimoni died suddenly. His family posted news of his death on social media. The man died on the past Sunday, but until now there has not been a funeral. "It was very early for a father, son, brother, and simply a good person to pass away, we ask for compassionate support in transporting Vladimir's body to Usinsk, for his mother," wrote his friends. Vladimir died at the age of 30, not living to see his birthday next month.

Omsk - Today, 12th December, the former general director of Omsk Water Pipelines, Vladimir Yegorov, died suddenly. He graduated in 1989 from the Faculty of Hydromeleology at Omsk Rural Economic Institute, he worked in this specialty in various organisations within the region.
Yegorov was 68. No cause of death reported.
