333 dead in the month of July alone, including the first four days of August due to sudden illness. It happens in Bari, in Puglia, where there has been a +42% of deaths expected in the over 65 range. An inexplicable increase, to which the Ministry of Health has already found the solution: "It was the heat". Many of these deaths coincide with the days in which there was the peak, with 40 degrees [104F] reached. A version that however leaves doubts and opens up different scenarios.
A disturbing fact, which concerns the substantial number of deaths from sudden illness in the month of July in Bari. The reason would be due to research in the exceptional heat wave recorded and which lasted about three weeks: in that period in Bari it exceeded 35 degrees [95F], with peaks over 40 [104F]. The band taken into consideration is the one that goes from 8 July to 24-25 of the month, the central one. A hot killer, which would mostly affect the elderly and chronically ill.
But every summer it is hot and last year too, more or less, there were very high heat waves, as is normal. In the age group ranging from 65 years upwards, 311 cases were observed, while 219 were expected: 333 people who lost their lives. The expected value is defined as "weekly average on historical series data (considering the previous 5 years) of daily mortality and weighted for the resident population, to take into account the increase in the elderly population in more recent years". The difference on Bari is equal to +92, and consequently to that +42%.
There are also those on the web who correlate deaths from sudden illness with the adverse effects of the Covid vaccine. The data from the Apulian capital have raised the antennae of many users on social networks, who prefer to investigate the matter more thoroughly. On Twitter there are also those who are ironic: "I wonder if they had something else in common besides the sun... Maybe an event they had in common, some pathology linked to the climate, maybe they made use of military secrets", while Alfonso wrote on Facebook: " In winter "it was the cold", in spring "it was the allergy", carry on like this...".
Sergio: "Sudden illness caused by what? Sudden illness has a cause, which one? During the covid emergency period, who knows why without an autopsy any death was attributed to covid. Now that the possible correlation should be verified through so-called active surveillance with vaccinations, nothing, nothing! For the press, they are all sudden deaths or natural deaths".

A two-and-a-half-year-old boy from Turin died in the night between Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 August after feeling ill while he was at home with his family. It was the mother, when it was almost 5 in the morning, who became aware of her son's condition and, as soon as she understood the seriousness of the situation, she contacted 118, but when the SVS volunteers and the 118 doctor arrived at the house in the city center, the child's conditions were already evidently critical. During transport to the hospital, the doctor still attempted every resuscitation maneuver, but unfortunately there was nothing they could do. Once they arrived at the hospital, it was not possible to do anything but ascertain the death. The Livorno flying squad is investigating what happened last night, under the coordination of the prosecutor's office, to ascertain exactly the dynamics of the facts and reconstruct the last hours of the child's life. And to understand, therefore, if it was a sudden illness or if the death was caused by other factors, perhaps due to the consequences of a previous apparently harmless accidental fall or for other reasons yet to be clarified. Answers that, presumably, will be given by the autopsy requested by the prosecutor on duty, Giuseppe Rizzo.

Tragedy this morning on the beach in Varazze. A Lombard tourist, struck by sudden illness, lost his life. The drama took place in front of the free beach, near the Santa Caterina pier. The old man had just entered the water to cool off when he fell ill. The intervention of two lifeguards from the San Domenico factory was immediate and they took him to the shore providing immediate assistance. The assistant from the Ferro baths also rushes. Within a few minutes, the Red Cross arrived with 118 personnel, as well as the Coast Guard and a local police patrol. The woman, 74, was struck by illness while she was on the shore, together with her husband and niece, this morning, Saturday 19 August, near Bagno Nettuno. It was 11 when she collapsed, the lifeguards of the towers in the area immediately rushed but the first medical responder was the Savinese Nicola Nigro. The 33-year-old, on vacation in Grosseto, immediately took action using the defibrillator that was given to him. He did everything possible while awaiting the arrival of personnel 118 - with an ambulance from the Red Cross of Marina di Grosseto and self-medication from Grosseto - and from the Coast Guard. The operators then continued with the resuscitation maneuvers. Unfortunately the woman, transferred to the Grosseto emergency room, died.

Tragedy on the beach this morning at the Lido di Latina, between Capoportiere and Foce Verde, where a person died due to a sudden illness. The man, aged about 80, was lying in the water and when the lifeguards lifted him up and brought him to shore, they immediately carried out the first resuscitation maneuvers, in the meantime alerting the 118 emergency services. An ambulance arrived on the spot and shortly after the ambulance also landed on the beach, making its way through the crowd of bathers. The doctors practiced maneuvers to save the man's life, but every attempt proved useless. The victim, a tourist originally from Guidonia, in the province of Rome, was in all probability died of a heart attack. Another serious mourning affects the family of the Cairo Montenotte firefighters, who mourn the death of Stefano Leoncini. Vigilant coordinator for years in service in Valbormida, Leoncini died on Saturday afternoon, at the age of only 56, while he was on duty in the barracks in via XXV Aprile. The man had just returned from a job on the A6 motorway: together with the Cairo team and colleagues from Savona, he had worked to extract the injured from a road accident and clear the lanes after a head-on between two cars. Once in the barracks, he had lunch, but then suffered a sudden illness and, despite the immediate intervention of his colleagues, who were the first to rescue him, there was nothing they could do. The medical team of 118 from Cairo arrived immediately on the spot, in the meantime the Grifo ambulance landed at the Vesima sports field. Unfortunately every attempt was in vain and Leoncini died before taking off to reach the hospital.
Another firefighter, Daniele Perrone, died suddenly at the end of June. Originally from Giusvalla, Perrone was 53 years old, he too had suffered an illness at the end of the night shift.

The 43-year-old man, originally from the province of Bari, would have felt ill yesterday evening, around 10 pm, a few minutes from the end of the work shift. According to what emerged, Rigante suffered an illness as he left the kitchen to reach the bar counter. Some doctors were present at the scene who tried to revive him with the help of a defibrillator. The intervention of the 118 doctors was also immediate, but the rescue efforts were useless. The feast of the Baccanalia in San Gregorio Magno turned into a terrible tragedy: a 23-year-old girl, Mariarosa Turturiello, died suddenly. Drama in the night between Saturday and Sunday: a 26-year-old girl was found dead in an apartment, on the corner of Statale 343 Asolana and via Nino Bixio in Casalmaggiore (Cr). The alarm just before midnight: the carabinieri, firefighters and 118 men intervened on the spot, but there was already nothing more to be done for the young woman. The investigations of the case were carried out by the military, in agreement with the prosecutor on duty. The seals were not placed on the house: according to the first findings, the young woman would have died due to a sudden illness. A funeral home took the body to the morgue, made available to the judicial authority.

The man was in the company of some friends, when - around 12.30 - he suddenly collapsed to the ground. The alarm was sounded on 112, the Alpine Rescue quickly intervened on the spot with an air ambulance; unfortunately, however, for Vignati there was nothing they could do. The body was recovered by the CNSAs technicians with the winch, then taken to the Bratto cemetery and returned to the family there.

Thus died the engineer Ivo Pellegrino, 71, a professional from Roccabruna with a studio in via Valli Occitane. The accident this morning (Friday 18 August), while the man was with a group of other walkers to participate in the inauguration of a path dedicated to Dr. Valentino Menardo, his great friend, head of the Algology center of the Santa Croce hospital of Cuneo, who died in February 2022. In all likelihood, the man suffered a heart attack.
