Thirumahan Everra (46), Congress MLA from the Erode (East) constituency of Tamil Nadu and son of former Union minister EVKS Elangovan, died at a private hospital in Erode Wednesday. Sources said he suffered a heart attack. Tamil Nadu Congress Committee (TNCC) leader K. S. Alagiri issued a statement and expressed condolences to Everra’s family. The party said Everra was “a progressive thinker and worked hard for the Congress party in the footsteps and traditions of Dravidar Kazhagam leader Thanthai Periyar, prominent politician EVK Sampath and former TNCC president Elangovan”. According to party sources, Thirumahan, a fitness enthusiast, experienced discomfort, while he was at home and was rushed to hospital where he was declared dead on arrival around 12.30 pm. He is survived by his wife and a daughter.

The deceased has been identified as Mohammed Hasim, 17, a resident of Krishnapura 7th Block. Delhi - A final-year resident doctor working at the department of pediatric surgery at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in New Delhi died of cardiac arrest Wednesday while he was on duty. Dr Sahil Mashal, 30, from the maternal and child health department developed sudden chest pain and despite being given cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), he did not survive and died on the spot, said a senior doctor working with the hospital.

After staying in Puducherry, he took an omni bus in the early hours of this morning and drove the omni bus carrying 48 tourists to the Nataraja temple in Chidambaram at around 6 am. At that time, he developed a mild chest pain while coming to the North Ratha Road. He alerted the passengers and stopped the omni bus on the side of the road and urged the passengers to get out of the bus. Shocked by this, the tourists went to the front of the bus and saw that the driver of the omni bus fell on the steering wheel. The tourists immediately rescued him and with the help of neighbours rushed him to Chidambaram Government Medical College Hospital. Doctors who examined him said he was dead. Chidambaram city police, who rushed to the spot, have registered a case and are investigating the matter.

Chinese soprano Chu Lanlan has died at the age of 39 of COVID-19 complications. Lanlan was a renowned young performing artist of Beijing Opera and was the founder and leader of I Beijing Opera as well as the teacher at Beijing Opera and Art’s College. She was also the head of Lanxin Troupe, a team committed to I Beijing Opera. Lanlan began an acting career at the age of eight on TV and later would turn her eyes to the stage. She graduated from the Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Opera and make Traditional Chinese Opera and made Peking Opera, aka Beijing Opera, her specialty. The soprano became famous for creating the song and dance “Farewell My Concubine” for the Peking Opera. She would also sing and perform during the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Outside of her theatrical work, she was known for projects on public welfare and in 2020, she became part of a foundation in Beijing that advocates for the physical and mental growth of rural children. Her final performance was in early November.

The car suddenly veered to the right and stopped after hitting 3 cars on the side of the road. He was sent to the hospital for emergency treatment and died. The police said that there was no obvious trauma on Xu Nan's body, and there were medicine packs for cardiovascular disease in the car. My brother Drago was a worldwide traveler, independent movie producer, director, martial artist, and a friend and “brother” to thousands of people around the world. He had some health issues and financial difficulties for awhile which wasn’t publicly known from his inner circle in Sydney Australia, Los Angeles and California, Shanghai China, and many parts of the world. Recently he collapsed suddenly from cardiac arrest in Sydney and had no life or medical insurance nor any financial assistance. The former head of the University of Auckland has died suddenly today. ”It is with deep sadness that I advise that former Vice-Chancellor and UniServices Chairman Emeritus Professor Stuart McCutcheon died suddenly today,” University of Auckland Vice-Chancellor Dawn Freshwater said in a statement. “This is a profound shock for us all. The University extends its heartfelt sympathy to Stuart’s wife Deborah and family, and asks that our community respect the family’s wishes for privacy at this sad time,” she said. McCutcheon was the head of the university for 15 years before stepping down from the role in 2020.

A police spokeswoman said officers responded to a report of a sudden death at the Hastings Top 10 Holiday Park on Windsor Avenue at 8.50 am on Monday.
