In memory of those who “died suddenly” in Canada, December 12-December 19
Grammy-winning songwriter Shirley Eikhard; Rideau Lakes municipal councillor Cathy Livingston; anesthesiologist Hany Youssef; Colton Windrem, 9 (blood clot in the brain); & 228 more across Canada
CANADA
A note from our lead Canada researcher:
As high as it is—higher even than the toll in Italy, although Canada has a much smaller population—the weekly toll that we have been recording in these compilations is much lower than it ought to be, due to the terseness of obituaries from some large populations.
Specifically, we have had trouble finding data on the “sudden deaths” of Asians, East Indians and Jews throughout the country (three large minorities), and of the Filipinos in Alberta. The death notices from those communities are less detailed than those from the general population.
There is a similar void of information in the Territories—especially about the large indigenous community, whom Trudeau’s police have sought to “vaccinate” by force. It is extremely difficult to find death notices of any kind for that community, whose rate of “sudden deaths” may well be hidden.
What all this means, in short, is that the true rate of “sudden deaths” in Canada is probably much higher than the quite high rate that we’ve recorded here.
Shirley Eikhard, Songwriter of Grammy-Winning 'Something to Talk About,' Dead at 67
December 17, 2022
Canadian singer-songwriter Shirley Rose Eikhard, best known for penning Bonnie Raitt's 1991 Grammy-winning song "Something to Talk About," has died. She was 67. After suffering complications from cancer, Eikhard died on Thursday at Headwaters Health Care Centre in Orangeville, Ontario, according to her publicist Eric Alper, the Associated Press reported. Following the devastating news, Alper told PEOPLE Eikhard, "was one of the kindness and gentlest artists I've ever worked with. Her heart was always in the music, writing another song, and was beholden to no one - no pressures from the label or the industry," he continued. "When she knew she had written a great one, she knew. The sheer amount of outpouring of love and support from fellow songwriters of here and people who admired her around the globe have been reaching out, and their words are helping get this country through one of the biggest losses in music."

'We have no idea what is happening': Family concerned about lack of investigation in son's sudden death
October 20, 2022
Syed Sheraz Ahmed, 19, was found dead in his car outside a Saskatoon gym on Oct. 6, 2022. (Photo provided by family) jpg
Surrounded by family members in his Hampton Village home, Syed Nasir Shah says he has no idea how his 19-year-old son died in his car outside a Saskatoon gym — but they have many questions about why his death hasn’t been investigated as suspicious. “We have no idea what is happening,” Nasir said in an interview, 12 days after Syed Sheraz Ahmed was found dead in the driver’s seat of his car, parked outside the Dollar Tree beside the Saskatoon gym where he had worked out earlier that evening. His family wants to know what happened after he left the Fit4Less gym in a Confederation Park strip mall on Oct. 6. Family members said they were not told how he died, or how long the autopsy will take, and are frustrated with the lack of communication. On Wednesday, the Saskatchewan Coroners Service confirmed that an autopsy is complete and the results will be available in four to six months. Nasir said Sheraz, a civil engineering student at the University of Saskatchewan, had no pre-existing health conditions or allergies, and a very predictable routine. The family believes he may have been a victim of crime. His credit card was missing from his wallet, somebody was cancelling the family’s calls to his cellphone, and three notifications about purchases made from his debit card at a Shell gas station appeared on his phone screen the day after his death. Nasir said his son’s water bottle, wallet, cellphone and car were returned to them within hours after he was found dead, and when he asked if they wanted to keep any of the items for fingerprinting or DNA testing, the officer said no. “It is their responsibility to inform us. This is the death of a young boy,” he said.
Sheraz’s uncle, Syed Ali, said if the transactions had been looked into, police could find out which Shell gas station they came from and check surveillance video. The family stresses that at this point, nobody knew how Sheraz had died, but officers and the coroner implied that his death was natural. “We know that it’s not out of the possibilities, but when those transactions and rejected calls, when we put those in context, it is not a normal, natural death. It sounds like there is someone who is behind this tragedy,” Ali said. “Police should have considered those concerns.”

Gus Laprise
December 13, 2022
Chatham - If love could have kept him here, he never would have been taken from us but unfortunately “only the good die young” and on Monday December 12th, 2022, dad was taken from us way too soon. Dad lived his life to the fullest. He worked at Pride Seeds for 15 years and still enjoyed his visits there with crew after he retired. He could be found at the Dover Rod and Gun Club, downstairs in the basement making something for his girls, at Jerome's, at the baseball field or arena, at the stable or just being an Uber driver for the grandkids. Dad could fix anything and if he couldn't we knew we were screwed but he definitely can’t fix our broken hearts. He could also build anything as woodworking was his passion. He enjoyed his short retirement and now he will be looking down from above making sure that we all live life to the fullest and we all “BEHAVE”. Donations be made to the cancer society, Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Wise beyond his years, he touched many hearts in his short lifetime. While his autism gave him challenges, it also provided strengths and unique gifts; not the least of which were his memory, intellect, and the ability to feel the world, himself and others deeply. His progress and personal development in the last few years were impressive. Douglas Marshall Globe, 52
December 15, 2022
With great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Douglas Marshall Globe, of Windsor, Ontario, on December 10, 2022 at 52 years of age. Douglas had an optimistic outlook on life, was tremendously resilient, as he never showed any signs of adversities, and always remembered to count his blessings. Douglas carried with him a kind patient heart, a great sense of humor, and most importantly all the great memories he collected over the span of his life. Douglas prided himself as a dedicated construction worker, but he was more than that, he was a jack of many trades, as well as a dedicated roofer for Decemberades; he could point at a house on almost every street in Windsor, he had fixed up, and that was a big part of his legacy. Douglas loved fishing, family gatherings, bingo nights, scratch tickets, betting on the sports pools and throwing down in a game of monops. He enjoyed a good Chinese combo for one, large 3 sugar 2 creams coffees, cottage farms Caribbean fish candies and singing to mostly any genre of music, even the tunes he didn’t know he would still sing.

December 15, 2022
Ottawa - Malachi Moses Shandwe was born on the first of November at 3:51 PM. He was running late but arrived in style on that crisp November afternoon, he spent forty days blessing us with his life and joy before he passed on. Malachi, though brief in his time, gained several names that described his very particular personality and essence. Zani, meaning ‘Gift from God’. Chi, or Chi-Chi, a shortened form of Malachi. Silent Burner, because of his quietness during the first eight months after his conception. He loved the sound of his mother and father’s voices. He made funny faces regularly. His laughter made dark days bright. He will live on in our thoughts and memories, forever a blissful moment of time that we all will dearly miss.

Filip Aleksic, 31, of Kelowna, BC, died unexpectedly on December 12, 2022. Filip was full of life, very cheerful, and an optimist. He captured everybody’s heart wherever he went. He was very friendly to everyone. Even though he wasn’t always good with names, if he met you, he could tell you exactly what happened during your interaction. And, it goes the same way towards him too, once you meet him, you will for sure remember him. During the winter time, you’d find Filip skiing at Big White. He also loved to skate and had been teaching his girls to do the same. He worked as a subcontractor for a few companies, but decided to open his own cabinet shop.

Curtis Pickering
December 13, 2022
Curt passed away on December 7th after a courageous battle with cancer. He was raised in Squamish and spent most of his adult life in the area. Curt was a lifelong member of IBEW Union. He was an avid sports fan, especially football. Curt loved camping and fishing and spent time pursuing these activities. He spent countless hours fishing on Birkenhead Lake, in his boat, which the family aptly called the “Good Ship Lollipop”. He loved listening to his tunes and having the odd cold beer. Curt was a storyteller second to none and shared his colourful observations of the world whenever he found a willing ear. Unfortunately, Curt was not given the time to pursue and enjoy a much deserved, long retirement. Donations can be to the BC Cancer Agency.

One of his deepest passions was cars, especially Vintage and new Corvettes. A child of the 60s, his zest for “freedom, love, peace, and beads” followed him throughout his life. Sadly, Robert had another battle with cancer. Donations to Lions Gate Hospital Foundation, where Robert received tender care, or the BC Cancer Society.

He took over Peterson’s Fertilizer from his father in 1977, followed by a trucking and fuel business then purchased Alix Home Hardware in 1996 which he ran until April of this year. Murdered. Most of them. BTW, I’m tired of the same old lame “ correlation doesn’t imply causation” argument, so you troll types desperately need to come up with some other false story to explain what is obvious to most of us: the world is full of lies and liars who buy in to the tyrannical forces around us. Wilfully blind is no way to live in the real world. But it sure is convenient.
Death rates differ markedly since the jab poison rollouts compared to b4 this genocide. Connect dots, recognize evil and please stop supporting censorship of the information that, unless you live in fear of truth, can keep your personal sovereignty intact.
