This week’s summary of Canadian reports is unusually light, due to family obligations through the holidays.
CANADA
A note from our lead Canada researcher:
As high as it is—higher even than the toll in Italy, although Canada has a much smaller population—the weekly toll that we have been recording in these compilations is much lower than it ought to be, due to the terseness of obituaries from some large populations.
Specifically, we have had trouble finding data on the “sudden deaths” of Asians, East Indians and Jews throughout the country (three large minorities), and of the Filipinos in Alberta. The death notices from those communities are less detailed than those from the general population.
There is a similar void of information in the Territories—especially about the large indigenous community, whom Trudeau’s police have sought to “vaccinate” by force. It is extremely difficult to find death notices of any kind for that community, whose rate of “sudden deaths” may well be hidden.
What all this means, in short, is that the true rate of “sudden deaths” in Canada is probably much higher than the quite high rate that we’ve recorded here.

With great sorrow and love, the family of Dr. Perley Irvine Weaver announces his passing on Thursday, December 15, 2022. Perley, 56, died unexpectedly at his home in Brighton after his precious heart stopped. He loved dentistry and was well known for his kind and gentle ways by his patients and staff alike. He first met his future wife during an orthodontic dental appointment, and later proposed to her while they both were working in the dental core at CFB Gagetown, New Brunswick. Perley together with Pamela loved ballroom dancing, sailing and riding their Harley-Davidson bikes, as well he loved travelling to exotic places with his wife and children. He was a long time member of the Knights of Columbus and involved with his wife in numerous organizations within the communities they lived, including their church, community food banks, Special Olympics, therapeutic riding associations and autism societies.

Another youth from Punjab dies suddenly in Canada's Surrey

A young man from Rampur village near Doraha block under Payal assembly constituency near Ludhiana [India] has been reported to have died suddenly in Canada. According to the information received, this young man died due to heart attack in Surrey, Canada. According to the information given by the deceased's brother Gurpreet Singh, his brother Gurjinder Singh Mangat alias Gaggi son karnail Singh had gone to Surrey, Canada in 2015, whose wife and his six-year-old son had also gone to Canada with him a few months ago. Gurjinder Singh died of a sudden heart attack while driving a car in Canada.

On a business trip to Winnipeg, during a snow storm, she had the good fortune of meeting her future husband, they were best friends who enjoyed traveling, sailing the great lakes, and most of all each other. Our sincerest thanks to the departments of neurology and intensive care at Sacré-Coeur Hospital in Montreal, as well as all who helped her in the days prior to her unexpected passing.

Olds - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gregory Allan Waltham on December 18, 2022 at the Innisfail Health Care Centre, Innisfail, Alberta, after a short, but courageous battle with cancer at the young age of 67 years. What he enjoyed the most was spending time at the lake, watching and catching the kids endlessly jumping off the dock, he never hesitated when they would say “Again, Papa, again!” Every year Greg looked forward to the camping trip him and his wife would take the grandchildren on. In preparation for retirement, they recently sold their holiday trailer and in turn, Greg purchased a teepee with 18 ft poles that him and the kids could sleep in. He had a heart just like a kid. Medicine Hat - Brenda Louise Gabel (nee Charette) peacefully passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022, at the age of 63, with her loving husband and daughter by her side. Being raised across the river from Detroit, she loved listening to Motown and would often be caught singing her favorite songs around the house. Brenda moved to Medicine Hat in the 80’s, where she worked at local bars for years. This is where, she showed everyone how fierce and charismatic she was. She was the life of the party and had no problem telling it like it was; a trait that she was well known for. Brenda’s family meant the world to her. She was an incredible wife and mother, always putting her family first. She was passionate, kind, quick-witted and always knew how to put a smile on someone’s face. She will be immensely missed by all who knew her. Her husband and daughter would like to thank the staff at the Margery E. Yuill Cancer Centre and the nurses on 4 West.

How do I add someone to your list as my nephew died suddenly Nov 3/22 at 42 yrs old and cause of death is 'unknown'.... when have we ever accepted unknown??? ME says report is going to be 8 mos to 1 yr..... disgusting what this is doing to families that are mourning family members.
