In memory of those who 'died suddenly,' in Canada, October 10-October 17
Filmmaker Jeff Barnaby; dance luminaries Tedd Robinson and Jini Stolk; a woman in Saskatchewan died 7 minutes after "vaccination"; and 383 others across Canada (including 53 from last week's toll)
CANADA
A note from our lead Canada researcher:
As high as it is—higher even than the toll in Italy, although Canada has a much smaller population—the weekly toll that we have been recording in these compilations is much lower than it ought to be, due to the terseness of obituaries from some large populations.
Specifically, we have had trouble finding data on the “sudden deaths” of Asians, East Indians and Jews throughout the country (three large minorities), and of the Filipinos in Alberta. The death notices from those communities are less detailed than those from the general population.
There is a similar void of information in the Territories—especially about the large indigenous community, whom Trudeau’s police have sought to “vaccinate” by force. It is extremely difficult to find death notices of any kind for that community, whose rate of “sudden deaths” may well be hidden.
What all this means, in short, is that the true rate of “sudden deaths” in Canada is probably much higher than the quite high rate that we’ve recorded here.
Jeff Barnaby, Uncompromising Horror Auteur, Dead at 46
October 13, 2022
Jeff Barnaby, the Mi’gmaq and Canadian director behind horror films told from an Indigenous perspective, died on October 13 after a yearlong battle with cancer. He was 46. Barnaby’s representatives confirmed the news in a statement to The Globe and Mail. “Jeff Barnaby redefined Indigenous cinema by injecting elements of magical realism, body horror, and sci-fi into Indigenous stories,” the statement read. “He was uncompromising in his views on Indigenous identity, Indigenous storytelling and authenticity. He never hesitated or backed down from his point of view, and remained authentic throughout his career.” His John Carpenter–inspired sophomore feature, the zombie-fueled critique of settler colonialism Blood Quantum (2019), was nominated for ten Canadian Screen Awards and won six. That film was his last.
Reported on October 9:
Canadian Woman Dies Seven Minutes After Getting COVID Booster
October 9, 2022
A sixty-nine-year-old woman died on Sept. 14, 2022 in Saskatoon (Saskatchewan), Canada seven minutes after getting a booster dose of a COVID shot at a Shoppers Drug Mart. Carol Diane Pierce, who was reportedly healthy, received the booster and was waiting during the required 15-minute period of observation before leaving the drugstore when she suddenly collapsed on the floor. “My mom text me right after she got the shot to let me know she was waiting the 15 minute and I text her back,” said Pierce’s daughter Stephanie Foster. “She text me at 12:31 pm and said she was waiting her 15 minutes. At 12:38 pm she was unconscious in [the drug store]. It was right after then that they say ‘she dropped dead before she hit the floor’ in Shoppers Drug Mart. That is what the docs have told us.”
According to the newspaper Sask Today, a person who witness who saw Pierce collapse said: ‘People started screaming. People were crying, just about everybody that worked there was crying and freaking and hugging each other and just losing their [sh–]. They were saying in the store that it was about seven minutes,” after Pearce got the booster shot that she collapsed on the floor. Two days after Pierce’s death, an employee at the Shoppers Drug Mart was asked to comment on the incident. “We’re not commenting on that,” the employee said. “We’re not commenting on that, that’s what my manager told us. It’s a privacy issue. I’m not allow to inform you on that issue.”
Sask Today reported that the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) has investigated Pierce’s death and attributed it to “natural causes.” But Foster disagreed. “I do not believe this was caused from natural causes,” she said. “My mom had no health conditions. I believe had she not gotten that COVID shot then she would be here with us today! She left for her appointment happy and energetic.” Nadine Wilson, a member of the Saskatchewan Legislative Assembly, said she also believes the booster dose was the cause of death. “One death is too many. I wish our government would help us.” Wilson said. “You all have to speak up and say ‘no more, this is enough.'”

A renowned contemporary dance choreographer, dancer and mentor, Robinson will be greatly missed, perhaps particularly because of his mentorship of emerging artists. It is with great sadness that we announce Jini Stolk’s sudden and unexpected death on August 25 at the family cottage on Kasshabog Lake in her 74th year. She died of an Aortic Dissection, an unforeseen and catastrophic event. A true champion, she had a huge impact on the arts community in Toronto, first as general manager of Open Studio, an artist-run printmaking centre, and later as associate director of the Association of Canadian Publishers. After the birth of her two daughters, she became executive director of the Toronto Theatre Alliance (now known as Toronto Alliance for the Performing Arts) which she led for 10 years. Following this, she was the executive director of the Toronto Dance Theatre, where she worked with artistic director Christopher House to establish it as one of the leading modern dance companies in Canada. Her last major project was Creative Trust, where she raised and distributed more than six million dollars to support the sustainability of over 50 small and medium sized performing arts organizations. In retirement, under the auspices of Toronto Arts Foundation, she established Creative Champions Network, a networking and learning program for arts board members.

Steinbach - It is with deep sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of our dear father and grandfather, Peter E. Wiebe, age 65, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 8, 2022, after a difficult battle with cancer in the home son and daughter in law. Early in life, our father learned the importance of hard work and he instilled that same work ethic in us. He taught us the importance of family, hard work and doing what is right. Our dad loved farming! Whether it was dairy, beef or sheep, farming was in his blood. Even though he struggled with the pain of his cancer, he enjoyed going to church and spending time with people. He was a proud father and spoke highly of his children and grandchildren to the people in his community, always looking forward to their phone calls and visits. In the last year, Peter had this strong desire to share the love of Jesus with those that he was surrounded with.

In Saskatchewan, 16 “died suddenly”:
Nihseem Koda Wilson, 6 months
October 10, 2022
Saskatoon - Nihseem Koda Wilson was born on Monday, April 4, 2022 at the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital in Saskatoon, SK. He entered the world earlier than expected due to complications and was very happily welcomed into his family as the youngest of four siblings —his sister and brothers. After his birth, Nihseem met the challenges of Esophageal Atresia (EA). EA is a rare birth defect in which a baby is born without part of the esophagus. Instead of forming a single tube between his mouth and stomach, it grew in two separate segments that did not connect. Nihseem required surgery to connect his esophagus and came through with very few complications, he was such a happy baby and didn’t let his condition slow him down. He was a determined baby right from the very beginning! Nihseem was then diagnosed with Craniosynostosis — a disorder present at birth where one or more of the fibrous joints (cranial sutures) between the bones of a baby’s skull close or fuse prematurely before the baby’s brain is fully formed. Brain growth continues, giving the head a misshapen appearance. Treating craniosynostosis involves surgery to correct the shape of the head and our little Nihseem had to forego yet another surgery. He came through with flying colors and when he smiled at us after he woke up, our hearts melted. What a trooper! The aftermath of that surgery meant Nihseem needed to wear a helmet. He was fitted with a Batman themed helmet and adjusted quite well. He was dubbed “our little astronaut” by his Uncle Nihseem was given the moniker of “Squeaky McSqueakerson” by his dad — he had the squeakiest, high-pitched voice you’ve ever heard. It was a happy squeak, and you sure knew when he was awake and happy.
Nihseem loved tummy time as well as laying on his back on his playmat — he was very independent with his play time and advanced quickly, holding his head up and rolling over and back again. He was a happy little guy who loved to laugh and squeal. When he looked at you with those chocolate brown eyes, it seemed he was looking into your soul. He was almost always smiling, which made you smile in return. Nihseem Koda Wilson passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 — his 6-month birthday. Nihseem Koda leaves to mourn his parents, siblings, his grandparents, his uncle and aunt and by his cousins. We held you in our arms for a short while, but we will hold you in our hearts forever.

Kelly Romanchuk, 61
October 10, 2022
It is with deep regret and sadness that our family announces the sudden passing of Kelly Romanchuk at the age of 61. Kelly was known as an exceptionally skilled equipment operator. From feller-bunchers to loaders he could run them all. He spent many years loading trucks throughout the forests of northern Saskatchewan for Aallcann Wood Suppliers, delivering logs to the Prince Albert Pulp Mill. No one could load or unload a truck faster. For thirty years, he treated fence posts, loaded thousands of trucks with finished product, and kept the yard well organized according to his exacting standards. At work, he was known for his leadership skills, his knowledge, quick wit, and wry sense of humor always getting a smile out of co-workers. Kelly will be forever missed at the Aallcann yard.
Kelly wasn’t just all work and no play. He loved a good party. Kelly had a great sense of humor, was known for speaking his mind, and was stubborn up to the end. Kelly had an irreverent (cheeky, rude) sense of humor, a positive attitude, and a generous and caring spirit. But most of all, he loved his family and friends and the memories that he made with them. Kelly loved to host a party; he was always happy to entertain family and friends. He was always there to brighten the lives of others. And of course, all who knew Kelly knew of his love for dogs. He enjoyed the company of many furry friends over the years. Special thanks to the doctors and the staff in the ICU at Victoria Hospital. Donations in Kelly’s memory, can be made to the Canadian Cancer.

Douglas Harvey Colin Mann, 66
October 12, 2022
Battleford - It is with our deepest heartache that we announce the passing of our family hero. Doug was taken from us unexpectedly on the family farm where he put in all of his life’s work and passion. The hardships and struggles of this occupation molded our dad into the hard working, determined, and incredibly selfless man that he was until his last breath. He passed away peacefully from a heart attack while building a fishing shack to enjoy with his family. Dad put his all into everything he did not only as a husband, but as a father, friend, and papa. He was unendingly proud of his three grandchildren and loved to spoil them with everything. We’ll always remember his non-traditional bedtime stories that brought a smile to everyone’s face. There are no words to sum up Dad’s life and character that do him justice. If you knew him you already know this. A man of few words, but great impact with a love language of helping others. It’s not how he died, but rather, how he lived that is his legacy.

It’s a wonder that Canada has anyone left standing above the age of about 50.
And apparently Canada is withholding data. Or something. Dr John Campbell keeps doing videos on the excess deaths in many countries, and often points out there is “no data” for Canada. He’s waiting. So am I ffs.
