Born in Mexico in 1957, he trained as a guitarist, conductor and composer at the Instituto Potosino de Bellas Artes, the National Conservatory of Mexico City, the Pontificio Istituto di Musica Sacra in Rome in Italy, the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid and the Amaniel Professional Conservatory, also in Madrid. Since 1978 he lived in Spain, where he developed a varied career as a guitarist, director of early music - mainly of the Parnasso group from the University of Valladolid - and musicologist. He presented his doctoral thesis in 2006 at the University of Valladolid (José Marín (ca. 1619-1699): musical work. 2 vols.) and has researched and published mainly on guitar repertoire from the 16th-18th centuries. Since 2001 he was professor of musicology at the Complutense University of Madrid, where he has directed research and doctoral theses mainly on guitar.

Jerez de la Frontera Flamenco from Jerez dresses in mourning again. Pedro Carrasco Romero, known as Periquín "Niño Jero" has died at the age of 68 after failing to overcome lung cancer. The guitarist, born in the Santiago neighborhood, was considered one of the best flamenco guitarists today. His beginnings were accompanying Tío Borrico, El Batato or Tía Anica La Piriñaca, and he also became very popular when he went to Madrid and established a relationship with the Montoya family. The sudden death of the plastic artist José Enrique Chorques at the age of 48 has plunged into a deep shock the numerous students who he taught as a painting teacher in Xàtiva. In 2010, Chorques created the Chorques Art and Painting Workshop, located on Calle de la Reina, an academy through which children and adults interested in artistic creation have passed for the last twelve years. The funeral of the deceased was officiated this Sunday at noon at the Sant Antoni Abad de Canals parish, where Chorques was born in 1974. In his hometown he was also very well liked and known for having been one of the people responsible for the activities of the Escora de Canals Youth Club for years.

Player suddenly dies after a match in Spain

The autonomous city of Ceuta has been rocked by the sudden death of Darío Duzman from AD Ceuta FC, a club that plays in Spain’s regional division. The tragic death took place on Sunday afternoon after Duzman fell ill following a match. Several clubs and associations have shown solidarity and expressed their condolences after Duzman’s shocking death at only 33 years old; he had a career in the military and had played for different local teams both in soccer and futsal. Darío Duzman, a 33-year-old father of two, played a league match yesterday against CD 6 de Junio (a 3-0 loss), and he later went to his house, where he fell ill. He was quickly taken to the clinic while he was still alive, but then he suffered a heart attack that ended his life despite the doctors' attempts at resuscitation.

On March 12, 2023, a 21-year-old young athlete died during the Elche Half Marathon, a test in which 3,200 runners participated. The organization has issued a statement on the death of the young man: "This Sunday we have had to mourn the loss of a 21-year-old who was participating in the historic 50th edition of the Elche International Half Marathon. The young man crossed the finish line and, once there, collapsed on the ground. The Aragonese publicist Alfonso Clarimon de la Lama-Noriega has died suddenly this Wednesday, March 8, at the age of 55. Clarimón had been the commercial and advertising manager for 'El Economista' for seven years. The premature death of Alfonso Clarimón has caused consternation among those who knew him, who highlight his close character, his sympathy and his camaraderie. Clarimón took his first steps as a publicist when he held the position of commercial delegate for ABC in Aragón from 1990 to 2001. Later he held this position with Vocento, until his last job as commercial manager of the aforementioned economic newspaper. His brother Rafael, a professional in new technologies and advertising, as well as a teacher at ESIC, received the news this Wednesday morning while at work.
