In memory of those who 'died suddenly,' Canada, October 17-October 24
Toronto city councillor Cynthia Lai; 12 babies in Nunavik (pop. 40,000) "died suddenly" (from "lack of housing"); Alberta's new premier vows to cut "all ties" with WEF; and 147 more across Canada
CANADA
Due to a crisis in our lead Canadian researcher’s family, this week’s compilation covers only those “sudden deaths” reported in Ontario and Alberta. The tally in the other provinces will be included in next week’s update.
A note from our lead Canada researcher:
As high as it is—higher even than the toll in Italy, although Canada has a much smaller population—the weekly toll that we have been recording in these compilations is much lower than it ought to be, due to the terseness of obituaries from some large populations.
Specifically, we have had trouble finding data on the “sudden deaths” of Asians, East Indians and Jews throughout the country (three large minorities), and of the Filipinos in Alberta. The death notices from those communities are less detailed than those from the general population.
There is a similar void of information in the Territories—especially about the large indigenous community, whom Trudeau’s police have sought to “vaccinate” by force. It is extremely difficult to find death notices of any kind for that community, whose rate of “sudden deaths” may well be hidden.
What all this means, in short, is that the true rate of “sudden deaths” in Canada is probably much higher than the quite high rate that we’ve recorded here.
A ray of hope shines in Alberta:
Alberta Premier Vows To Cut All Ties With WEF: ‘Shadowy Billionaires Controlling Politicians’
October 25, 2022
Alberta’s conservative Premier Danielle Smith has vowed to cut all ties with the World Economic Forum — the globalist organisation headed by Klaus Schwab — because she refuses to work with a group of billionaires that openly brags about controlling governments around the world. “I find it distasteful when billionaires brag about how much control they have over political leaders,” Smith said at a news conference Monday after a journalist asked why she finds the WEF “distasteful.” “That is offensive — the people who should be directing government are the people who vote for them. Quite frankly, until that organization stops bragging about how much control they have over political leaders, I have no interest in being involved with them.”
The United Conservative Party premier said she is in lockstep with federal Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre, who has stated he and his caucus will have nothing to do with the World Economic Forum. The brave decision to shun the World Economic Forum by the Alberta Premier comes as the globalist organization continues to ratchet up its rhetoric. According to a recent interview with Yuval Noah Harari, lead adviser to Klaus Schwab and the WEF, the global “elite” will escape an upcoming global mass-extinction event courtesy of a “technological Noah’s Ark.” Harari, whose middle name happens to be Noah, made prediction about the “technological Noah’s Ark” while taking part in a discussion at the Warwick Economics Summit on Friday. According to Harari, the vast majority of the world will perish while the world’s “elite” are set to escape the global mass-extinction event. CNN’s Bill Weir, who hosted the discussion, followed up by suggesting the Covid pandemic was the “dress rehearsal” for the upcoming event. According to Harari, so-called “elites” will shield themselves from planetary catastrophes while the rest of humanity perishes. Harari made remarks while discussing “climate change,” which he framed as “the most pressing threat facing humanity.”
Toronto city councillor Cynthia Lai dies at 68
October 21, 2022
Toronto city councillor Cynthia Lai, who was running for re-election in Monday's municipal vote, has died. She was 68. Her campaign manager, Hratch Aynedjian, confirmed the death of the Ward 23 Scarborough North councillor on Friday afternoon. Lai died in hospital and was surrounded by family, Aynedjian said in a statement. "She championed the causes of her constituents and delivered services to residents that reflected the demographic make-up of the ward," he said. "The family has asked for privacy and no further comment will be provided." Aynedjian told CP24 that Lai had been battling an illness throughout the year. Despite that, the councillor decided to run for re-election in the spring when her condition improved. Aynedjian does not know the specifics of her illness, saying Lai was very private. Lai's chief of staff, Jim Murphy, remembered the councillor as a tremendous contributor to the community and someone who wanted to continue serving Ward 23 residents.

12 babies “died suddenly” (from “lack of housing”):
A record of sudden infant death caused by a lack of housing
October 22, 2022
Last spring, Le Devoir revealed that the Coroner's Office, after being alerted by the Nunavik police, was investigating the deaths of 12 infants that occurred in obscure or unexplained circumstances. Coroner Geneviève Thériault concluded in a final report that 10 of these deaths were classified in the category “Sudden Infant Death Syndrome”. It is also the very first time that the Coroner's Office has recommended that the government build housing in Nunavik to remedy this “worrying situation”. According to the Nunavik Public Health Department, four to nine children die each year in Nunavik. One-third of these deaths are categorized as “Sudden Infant Death Syndrome” (SIDS). In 2021, ten infants lost their lives, a sad record, according to the compilation of Le Devoir. SIDS is defined as the sudden death of a child under one year of age that remains unexplained after a thorough investigation. It usually occurs during sleep, and most often between two and four months of age. While we don't know the causes of SIDS, we know the risk factors.
