Cuban pianist and composer César 'Pupy' Pedroso dies at 75

Cuban pianist, arranger and composer César 'Pupy' Pedroso died this Sunday in Havana at the age of 75, the Cuban Institute of Music confirmed to the official press, without specifying the causes of his death.
'Pupy', one of the best-known figures on the island's popular dance music scene, was a member of different groups during his long career, such as Fascinación, Sensación, Revé and the Conjunto Bolero. However, his fame took off when he founded the Los Van Van orchestra together with Juan Formell in 1969....
So far the cause of his death is unknown, but the multi-state channel Telesur pointed out that it was a complication after cardiovascular surgery.
The musician's family reported in May that 'Pupy' was in the process of recovery after “a surgical operation that cannot be postponed, in view of a trip and especially a European journey of more than 20 concerts”.

The Dominican plastic artist Elvis Avilés, 57, passed away this Saturday. The information was made known by the Dominican College of Plastic Artists, through its Instagram account Of him, without detailing the causes of his death.
"We inform and deeply regret the death of our dear friend, colleague and companion of our generation, the great artist Elvis Amaury Avilés, still gone young, but who developed a great career for the benefit of Dominican art, we are shocked by this departure of our vice president and solidary friend, peace to his remains and our condolences to his relatives", it was pointed out.
Son of the veteran journalist Fior Gil, Avilés was born on August 18, 1964 in Santo Domingo. He studied at the National School of Fine Arts. He worked in the workshops of Alberto Bass and Pedro Céspedes, where he specialized in hyperrealism techniques. He presented his first exhibition at the Centro de Arte Propuesta in 1985, and has not stopped since then.

They found the body of a 74-year-old man inside a vehicle in the streets of Tizayuca. He allegedly died from a heart attack. Hours before a motorcyclist probably died of the same causes.
They located dead a senior citizen inside a vehicle in the streets of the Tizayuca municipality, Hidalgo. This was the second death a day in this municipality and for an alleged heart attack, according to local media.
On Tuesday afternoon they reported the death of a elderly person inside his vehicle parked in the vicinity of the Maria Bustamante sports of the municipality mentioned above. Public security elements and paramedics confirmed the death of the person allegedly as a result of cardiac arrest. However, the fact was notified to the staff of the Attorney General's Office in the State of Hidalgo to carry out the corresponding proceedings and transfer the body to the Forensic Medical Service for exam practices and thus determine the causes of death.

Mourning in the half-marathon of Cobán for the death of runner from cardiac arrest

The joy for the return of the International Marathon of Cobán, was tarnished by the death of a runner in the competition. The participant collapsed while running and then died due to cardiac arrest. The deceased is Wilson Darinely Tello, a 54-year-old man, who traveled to Alta Verapaz to participate in the competition, which was not done there were two years.
Several of the runners helped Tello, who fell on the route at kilometer 214 of the Cobán Route to Carchá, in full competition. The businessman, Paulo Roberto Hans, 65, died after suffering a cardiorespiratory arrest, a day after undergoing plastic surgery on his face at a specialized clinic in the Chácara Cachoeira neighborhood, in Campo Grande. According to the police record, the businessman was admitted to the hospital to perform an aesthetic procedure on his face, on Thursday afternoon. After the surgery, Paulo was transferred to an apartment and was hospitalized until early Thursday afternoon, when he was discharged.
Upon arriving home, Paulo reportedly said he was dizzy and had suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest. The Emergency Medical Service (Samu) was called and sent the victim to a private hospital in Campo Grande. According to the incident report, resuscitation maneuvers were performed for another 35 minutes, but the victim could not hold out. The businessman's death was confirmed at 3:35 pm. The case was registered by the victim's family at the Community Emergency Care Police Station (Depac) Cepol as a death to be clarified.

Tulio Contreras Álvarez (DC) lost his life this morning after a complex time in terms of health due to stomach cancer. The death occurred during the early morning at his home, at 54 years old.
As a councilman, Tulio Contreras came to the municipal seat to replace Joaquín Latorre, another DC militant, who died in a traffic accident in July 2013. Thus he completed that period and was re-elected twice more until 2024, but today he died. "The community of Placilla will forever remember the humble, supportive neighbor, who always fought for the well-being of his beloved community," they indicated from the building house.

A ten-year-old boy who attended the San Francisco de Tartagal school, in Salta, died this Tuesday afternoon, after becoming unbalanced in physical education class. According to the newspaper El Tribuno, the minor was a fourth grade student and was in gym class when he expressed feeling bad and collapsed.
Although he was assisted by medical personnel from the Juan Domingo Perón hospital in Tartagal, the doctors were unable to revive him. As he revealed in the local media, the minor had no blows or injuries and the hospital reported that it was a sudden death. The Head of Pediatrics of the health center assured that a school teacher tried to revive him with the CPR technique, which was repeated in the hospital without success.
The child's death caused a stir in Salta and particularly within the religious school, where the authorities were totally affected and moved by the news. As indicated, this Wednesday no classes will be held at the educational institution.

According to information delivered by medical authorities, the 14-year-old girl, identified as Milagros Santiso, suffered a cardiac arrest while performing activities in the place.
