A teenager by the name of Gabriany Suemilly Brito Santos, better known as” Gabi", 17 years old, a resident of the municipality of Marcolândia, died on the morning of Tuesday (24th), victim of a cardiac arrest. According to information from family members, Gabriany was hospitalized for 40 days between the ICU and the Santa Maria Hospital ward because of a pain in her leg, where it was discovered that her diabetes was uncontrolled. She was then discharged to go home. On Monday (23rd) in the morning, about 20 days after discharge from the hospital, she was ill and was referred to UPA in Araripina (PE), where she was medicated and left because there was no vacancy equipped with ICU at Hospital Santa Maria, in case her health condition worsened.
