Puglia - The Foggia prosecutor's office, which coordinates the investigations of the carabinieri and the coast guard, does not exclude any hypothesis on the reasons for the death: from sudden illness to a never diagnosed congenital pathology. According to the first reconstructions, the little boy was participating in a summer camp and was playing games in the sea when he drowned in the waters in front of the lido Il Paradiso dei Giovani, located in Margherita di Savoia, in the north of Bari. Relief provided by 118 personnel who only confirmed his death. “The child was lying face down in the water, a 15-20 cm mirror of the sea. The rescue arrived on time and implemented all the cardiopulmonary resuscitation procedures envisaged in synergy with the Foggia helicopter rescue but there was nothing to do". The magistrate of the Foggia prosecutor's office and the coroner, as well as the carabinieri and coast guard personnel arrived on the spot. The six-year-old was a resident of Canosa di Puglia and was participating in a summer camp together with other peers. “We are speechless. The rescue was there, the equipment was there. The relief system worked. And our lifeguard, Salvatore, was among the first to intervene and is now in shock,” Andrea Cristiano, owner of the Paradiso dei Giovani beach in Margherita di Savoia, told Ansa. “The children were all together on the shore we don't know what happened,” he adds. "We feel sorry for the organizers of the colony who have been coming here for years and are very good people". “I heard a gentleman shout and say: the baby is sick. I intervened immediately” said Salvatore Damato himself, the 26-year-old lifeguard of the Paradiso dei Giovani beach: “I went into the water and saw that the child was ill, we placed him on the shoreline, I used the whistle to ask to call 118 and in the meantime we started doing the first aid maneuvers. Then we put him on his side and they brought us the defibrillator but the child showed no signs of life,” concludes the 26-year-old.

A 38-year-old man, Laurentiu Lupchean, originally from Romania and a resident of the Marca for three years, lost his life. The man worked as a driver for a transport company in Pasiano di Pordenone and was much appreciated for his professionalism. The 38-year-old, orphan of both parents, had found love in Italy, a partner to whom he was very close, and some friends. Laurentiu had already said on Friday that he didn't feel well but he didn't imagine that the situation would degenerate in this way; Sunday evening he asked his friends to be accompanied to the emergency room in Oderzo but unfortunately his conditions immediately worsened and it was necessary to alert 118. The Suem doctor and nurses tried everything possible to save his life, unfortunately to no avail; the body was then transferred to the Oderzo hospital morgue. The clearance for the burial could be signed as early as today. It is not yet clear where the funeral will be held.

Another tragedy at sea, still, unfortunately, in Torvaianica. Less than seven days after the death of 47-year-old Paolo Florio in Campo Ascolano, this morning, Sunday 9 July 2023, another person lost his life while bathing in the waters of the Pometo coast. The drama took place around 8.30 when the first bathers had begun to crowd the free beach on the coast. Despite the help, there was nothing to do. The victim is a 45-year-old foreign man of North African nationality. The 45-year-old was swimming when he suddenly felt ill. The alarm went off immediately and emergency services were called to the scene. In addition to the 118 health workers, the men of the Torvaianica Port Authority and the Carabinieri were present. However, the man died shortly after. This is the fourth victim this year since the beginning of the bathing season in this stretch of the Lazio coast. Last week, we recall, two more deaths were recorded, one of which was also in Torvaianica, in Campo Ascolano. The victim, Paolo Florio, as mentioned at the beginning, was 47 years old: the man had entered the water to meet his 10-year-old son who at that moment was swimming with other children, perhaps worried because the sea was a little moved. But then he suddenly felt ill: for him, despite attempts at resuscitation, there had been nothing to do. The next day however, in Ostia, another man had died, furthermore sparking numerous controversies considering that in that case, unlike what happened in Torvaianica, there were no lifeguards present. Even earlier, on June 21st, a bather had lost his life again in the waters of Torvaianica, in that circumstance a few meters from the central Piazza Hungary. The death toll at sea therefore continues to lengthen and is made even more serious by the two deaths recorded in the last few weeks between Bracciano and Martignano.

Shortly after noon on Sunday 9 July in Mese, in Valchiavenna, due to illness, while Alberto Zappa was traveling the "Succetti" ferrata. The 54-year-old man, residing in Agrate Brianza, was well known in the area because he was one of the brightest entertainers of musical evenings in the area. Also a mountain enthusiast and a talented hiker, according to what has been reconstructed, Zappa was in the company of a friend and together they had practically completed the ascent when he suddenly felt ill. Faced with the emergency situation,  the comrade immediately asked for assistance. The Bergamo dell'Areu (Regional Emergency Emergency Agency) arrived on the spot. In support, the territorial teams of the Chiavenna station, the VII Delegation of Cnsas (National Alpine and Speleological Rescue Corps) and the Sagf (Mountain Rescue Guardia di Finanza) were also activated. But unfortunately, despite the timely intervention, the doctor was unable to do anything other than ascertain Zappa's death and arrange for the body to be transported downstream, around 2 pm.

Died in the mountains in Corteno, the prosecutor orders the autopsy

The Prosecutor of Brescia is investigating the dynamics of the accident in the mountains that cost the life of a 46-year-old from Bologna, Marco Borsari. The hiker's body was spotted on Saturday in a gully on Dosso Pasò Alto, a town on the border between Corteno Golgi and Aprica at over 2,500 meters above sea level. Prosecutor Carlotta Bernardini entrusted the task of ascertaining the dynamics to the Alpine Rescue of the Edolo Finance Police, who intervened with the Cnsas technicians of the Aprica and Edolo stations. According to what emerged, the man had rented a room in a residence in San Pietro on Wednesday 5 July. It has not yet been established whether Borsari had been engaged at high altitude since that day or whether he went out on Saturday morning to make the excursion that ended tragically. For the rescuers, who reached the locality between Vallecamonica and Valtellina late Saturday morning, after the report of some hikers, however, more than 48 hours could have passed since his death, and for this reason the Public Prosecutor's Office is asking for further investigations. Marco Borsari's body was recovered and reassembled in the morgue of the Corteno Golgi cemetery. It is hypothesized that a sudden illness may have caused the fatal slip, in consideration of the fact that the 46-year-old was an expert mountaineer and that, being a regular visitor, he knew the area.

A 77-year-old runner from Lamporecchio, Antonio Sena, a member of the Podistica Galleno, who was participating in the sporting event was struck down by a sudden illness. When help arrived, for Serafino Dolce there was now nothing left to do: it was a heart attack that killed him. The news of his death shocked the entire neighborhood and those who knew him: in fact, there were several messages of condolence published on social media. The man was well known as the owner of a diner in the area.

Vercelli - Francesco Proli died suddenly in the night

Francesco Proli, former owner of the Autorama dealership and former manager of Pro Vercelli, died suddenly in the night between Thursday 6 and Friday 7 July. He was 74 years old. "Dad was admitted to the emergency room for an intestinal blockage last Tuesday,” says his son Marcello. “He was sent home after treatment, but in the last few days he continued to have pain, so much so that we had planned to have him examined again. Ragusa/Naples – Mourning between Naples and Sicily. Federica Borrometi, a 44-year-old Neapolitan but resident in Scicli, in the province of Ragusa, died suddenly at the age of 44. The woman, according to what was reported by ragusanews.it, had been affected by an abscess on a grindstone and had undergone a contrast CT scan in the emergency room of the Giovanni Paolo II hospital in Ragusa. She was probably struck there by an anaphylactic shock which was fatal. Death after about an hour and a half. The woman worked in a call center in Ragusa. ASP health director Raffaele Elia sent a press release stating the company's intention to get to the truth through an internal investigation. "You were there in front of me for a tooth abscess,” writes a patient in the emergency room who was present when the tragedy occurred. “you were waiting your turn like everyone else and then, when you came in for a CAT scan, doctors running around... and then you come out, from a stretcher, dead. You're gone, I still don't believe it, rest in peace dear Federica". The 44-year-old had returned to Naples in recent weeks to celebrate the Scudetto of the Neapolitans.

It all happened around 9 in via della Cona in a very central area and immediately below the town hall. Here, from what transpires from the first reconstructions of some people present, the woman felt ill and collapsed to the ground as she was about to enter the office where she worked. A dismay among her family, she was married and had three children, and everyone who knew her.
