‘Heartland’ actor Robert Cormier dead at age 33
September 27, 2022
Robert Cormier, who played Finn Cotter on the show “Heartland,” died on Friday. He was just 33 years old. The actor’s cause of death is yet to be determined. In his obituary, Cormier is remembered as “an athlete, an actor, and a great brother,” who had “a passion for helping others and was always looking to achieve more. He enjoyed movie nights with his family, and looked up greatly to his father. He impacted many people throughout his life whether it was family, teammates and friends. Rob’s memory will live on through his passion for art and film; as well as his three sisters who meant the world to him.”
Following the tragic news of his death, the official Instagram page for “Heartland” remembered him as a “beloved member.” “We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Robert Cormier. He was a beloved member of the Heartland cast the last two seasons. On behalf of the Heartland cast and crew, our thoughts are with him and his family, who have asked for privacy during this difficult time,” their statement read.

Lead vocalist Gord Kirchin of the Canadian cult metal band Piledriver has died after a battle with lung cancer. He was 60 years old.
September 22, 2022
Gord's passing was confirmed by his sister Tina, who took to her social media to write: "Before I got to the hospital he played 2 songs for me on Sirius XM, Home Sweet Home 'I'm on my way please set me free home sweet home' and of course KISS, Rock n Roll All Night. I know for a fact he sent me that message. He passed while I was on my way. I'm heartbroken, so so heartbroken, but I know he will be playing music with all his Idols over there. Namely Frank Zappa. I will miss him immensely, the laughs, his nickname for me, the silliness, his mind blowing musical talent. He called me his mini me".
Less than three weeks ago, Kirchin took to his social media to say that he had completed the "last round of chemo" following his diagnosis. At the time, he wrote that "it's been a brutal chemical battle," adding that "chemo reeeeally sucks." He said that the plan was to go through "three weeks of horrid yuck from its side effects, then in six weeks we scan to see if we got it all."

Stephen Lee Wright, 68
September 22, 2022
Hamilton - So many were shocked and saddened at the unexpected passing of Stephen Lee Wright, at the Hamilton General Hospital on September 15, 2022 at the age of 68. Throughout his life, Stephen marched to the beat of his own drum, which took him along many paths and a variety of careers. The last couple of decades he was mainly an actor, proud to appear in many films and television series, and we were always proud to spot him in one. He made many friends and kept in touch with most of them through all the years. Stephen needed to be active. If he wasn’t at the gym for his daily workout, or on a bike ride or a hike with friends, he was clearing out a storage room or garage, or mowing a lawn (his or a neighbour’s), or digging up hostas to bring as a gift. During his short illness he was given the very best of care by the excellent medical staff at Hamilton General Hospital, who did everything in their power to keep him going until he could recover. It was not to be, but we are grateful for all their efforts, and their compassion and communication at all times. Donations to The Heart and Stroke Foundation.

I believe that in Robert Cormier's case, someone wrote that he sustained "injuries from a bad fall." Ok, so he was 95 years old then? Ahh, no, wait.....33. Obviously normal. Completely normal for his age. Totally. ........Remember I wrote here a while ago this would happen: at the speed and strength that the head seems to hit the ground upon submission to the Clot-Attack, anyone would be lucky to survive.
Also noteworthy and sad: https://www.cp24.com/news/less-than-one-per-cent-of-u-of-t-students-requested-vax-mandate-exemption-1.6088449
Less than one per cent of the 8,400 University of Toronto students living on campus have requested an exemption to its triple-COVID-19-shot mandate, the school said Wednesday.
The university did not say how many exemption requests have been granted, or how many students have not had a booster dose, but said the "vast majority" of those living on campus received three shots before arriving.
