Horse racing advocate, Downs champion, dies unexpectedly

Keep me posted, were the last three words Darren Dunn texted to Harvey Warner on Wednesday.
Dunn, the CEO of Assiniboia Downs, was down in Arizona recruiting horsemen for the upcoming racing season.
Warner, board chair of the Manitoba Jockey Club, which operates the Downs, was back in Winnipeg. Both men were excited about the prospect of a post-pandemic, “normal” season at the 64-year-old track on the west edge of Winnipeg.
“He sent me a text message that he was experiencing chest pains,” an emotional Dunn recalled on Thursday. “And out of an abundance of caution he wanted to go to Grace Emergency to get it checked out, which of course I assured him made good sense.”
A few hours later, another MJC board member called Dunn to tell him Warner had died.
In his mid-seventies and the picture of health, the man who led the charge to save the sport in Manitoba nearly 30 years ago and was the face of it ever since was gone.

Sean died suddenly on March 10, 2022, in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia following a heart attack. He was 53.
Born February 23, 1969 and a proud life-long resident of Dartmouth, Sean grew up in the automotive industry. His family’s involvement in the car business dates to 1915 in Parrsboro, Nova Scotia where Sean’s grandfather S.E. O’Regan operated several automobile franchises through to the mid-1950s.

Joel Hulsman the Owner of Kenesky’s sadly passed away on Sunday, 13th of March, 2022 at the age of 65. He was the former unofficial Mayor of Barton Street. He started working at the historic sporting goods store when he was just 12 as he lived just around the corner.

Heartbreak as former Toyota chairman dies suddenly

Tributes have been made to the former chairman of Toyota, Sir Alan Jones, after his sudden death.
The 82-year-old held the title of Chair Emeritus of Toyota Motor Manufacturing (UK) Limited, working at the Burnaston plant, in South Derbyshire, and was knighted in 2005 New Years Honours list for services to the automotive industry.
And Toyota has this evening announced he died suddenly on Friday, February 25.

Radio Exe DJ and presenter Mike Reynolds dies aged 54

Tributes have been paid to Radio Exe presenter Mike Reynolds after he died suddenly at the age of 54.
Mike was co-presenter of the Flashback, a retro show of hits from the 50s to the 80s, which became a bank holiday staple on the station, and which he hosted alongside his friend Dean Brame.
On Monday, he was rushed by taxi to hospital, but died of a suspected heart attack not long after.

Police were called to the property in the town's Candren Road this morning following reports of a sudden death. Police confirmed a 49-year-old man had been found within the property and that the death was currently being treated as unexplained.

Dan Parris was just 23 when he collapsed and died without warning on February 22, 2021.
He had never been diagnosed with any heart conditions and seemed to be in perfect health.
“As an electrician, he was allowed to go out to work, so left the house he shared with Holly and Olivia and headed off to a local residential property where he’d been booked to fit some wall-lights.

Martyn Haynes, aged 40, had been staying with his mum Karen when she was unable to rouse him at midday on Sunday, only a short while after they had chatted about having jacket potatoes for lunch.
Mr Haynes had been taking antibiotics and had been suffering from a headache but his death was completely unexpected.
Mum Karen said they were in a "horrible period" waiting for the coroner to tell them of his cause of death.

Hospital attack: Post mortem says youth died of heart attack

Nagpur: The post mortem report of Rahul Baliram Iwanate has revealed that heart attack was the cause of the 28-year-old’s sudden death on January 26 or 27. The report mentions that he had around 96% blockage in heart.
All findings in the post mortem report point to natural death and rule out any foul play or suicide. Videography of the post mortem examination had also been conducted.
Interpreting the report for TOI, a well known cardiologist explained it means the patient had blockages. “He suffered a major heart attack. Arrythmia – a type of ventricular disorder, blockage in major artery, and heart valve rupture are among some possibilities causing sudden death in such cases,” he said. The cardiologist said it is uncommon in young patients but the incidence is rising now because of smoking and tobacco habits. “As compared to Western countries, heart attack is increasing in younger population in India. The patient was unfortunate to have this event. If he had symptoms, best option was to reach the hospital early. Angioplasty or blood thinners help dissolve clotting,” he said.

The Deputy Inspector General of Police in Charge Force Criminal Investigations Department, and head of Abba Kyari probe panel, DIG Joseph Obiajulu Egbunike is dead. Vanguard gathered that DIG Egbunike was feeling uncomfortable during the weekend and on Tuesday went to see the Doctor for a medical check-up after which he was given drugs and told to go.
Minutes later the senior officer who was said to have driven to office in company of family and was his usual bubbling self slumped and died.

The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force said its rank and file members are stunned at the sudden death of one of their female colleagues. Constable Nivlyn Moore, who was attached to the Grand Division of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) died on Wednesday, after complaining of not feeling well, a news release from Commissioner of Police Trevor Botting, said.
