Originally from Lecco, Alessandro Redaelli had been living in Peschiera with his family for less than a couple of years: in addition to his partner, he also had a 5-year-old girl and a baby just a few months old. The day of his disappearance they had all gone out together by boat: they had crossed the Isola del Garda in San Felice and the Isola dei Conigli in Manerba, before returning to Desenzano. Off the coast of Rivoltella, the 41-year-old would have dived into the water, but never re-emerged: it was his partner who was the first to give the alarm.

Worker taken ill in the countryside, dies at 56

Benno Micheler died suddenly at age 48

An autopsy should clarify the exact cause of death: The 48-year-old paramedic Benno Micheler, who worked for the mountain rescue team in San Candido, died within a few days after traveling with his family to relatives in Berlin. The sudden death has caused sadness and dismay.

The incident took place last night, around 19.30, at the beach next to the port of Marina di Carrara. A 56-year-old man died probably as a result of an illness, while he was in the sea for a swim at the end of the day: he felt ill in front of other people present and a friend of his who tried to revive him, with help arriving on the place, but for Marin Opris, a truck driver of Romanian origin, there was nothing to do.

Tragedy on the beach of Roccelletta di Borgia on the outskirts of Catanzaro. A 32-year-old man died this morning following an illness. Once the alarm was raised, the 118 intervened on the spot and shortly after the helicopter rescue. Another tragedy in that summer 2022. A forty-five year old drowned in the waves of Neptune, on the Lazio coast. The causes of the drowning are still unclear, but the man was a double victim. It happened on one of the free beaches of Nettuno, in via della Liberazione. It was the late afternoon of Saturday 30 July when a man, probably of Moldovan origin, dived and never re-emerged.
The lifeless body ran aground on the shoreline and at that point some swimmers tried to revive it, while calling 118. When the doctors arrived, however, there was already nothing more to be done, the man had already been dead at sea for a few minutes.
It is when the people of the Anzio-Nettuno police station intervened that they discovered the insult suffered by the victim. In trying to identify the man, the cops recovered his belongings but, when they found the backpack, they made a discovery. Inside the bag, in fact, there were only bottles of beer and nothing else. In fact, the man was robbed of his wallet, documents and keys just as he was in the water to die. Investigators tried to give the man a name and surname, but for now we only know that he was of Moldovan origin.
Maybe a heart attack. It is still unclear whether he fainted and drowned. Or if he died instantly of a heart attack. It will be the medical examiner who will have to give an answer.
Meanwhile, it is certain that his belongings were stolen by the so-called "umbrella rats". In fact, over the past few days, the authorities have received numerous reports of thefts. And just yesterday the authorities stopped two kids who had recently stolen a backpack. They identified them, while the backpack returned to the rightful owner.

Pesaro - Drama in Bagni Wanda, Levante area of Pesaro, where an 83-year-old bather died this morning at 10 am from an illness. The pensioner, a life spent as an official and labor inspector, had gone ashore at around 10 with his wife for the usual walk in the water. He was a few meters from the shore when he collapsed in the water taken ill in front of the eyes of his wife in shock and in front of the swimmers who crowded the beach.
The man felt ill at Bagni Wanda, practically in the same place where not even a month ago another elderly bather had died in similar circumstances. ... The lifeguard rescued the man by taking him to the shoreline and calling for help. The ambulance arrived on the spot with the 118 doctors who tried in every way to revive him going on for some time but unfortunately there was nothing to do and the 83-year-old died without regaining consciousness. The men of the Harbor Master's Office were also on site for the ritual checks. The 83-year-old had no previous pathologies and the illness that caught him in the water was sudden and fulminant.

Pierpaolo Schibuola, that unstoppable volcano of words and ideas that many in Ossola had come to know for the roles he had held, for the verve with which he faced life, left yesterday evening, Thursday. He passed away after having fought against an illness that had come like a bolt from the blue, the only one against which Pierpaolo had to surrender, just him, capable of reinventing himself every time, of falling and getting up, the engine of family and friends, of the environments he frequented. That of skiing, for example, a passion that he had been able to transmit to those who loved him. He was happy on the slopes, he was happy, always, to share a joy.

Venice - Adelina "has just confirmed her will: she died, in the way she chose, in the country that allowed her". Marco Cappato writes it in a tweet announcing "tomorrow morning in Italy I will go to self-report". Adelina, her name is Elena and she was from the province of Venice. The fictional name Adelina used for her last hours of privacy was inspired by the song she chose for her last moments of her, Ballade pour Adeline, by Richard Clayderman, which just happened in the Basel area.
Yesterday, 1 August 2022, Cappato, treasurer of the Luca Coscioni Association, announced that he was in Switzerland to follow up on the request for help received from a 69-year-old Venetian woman, retired, patient suffering from an important irreversible lung cancer with metastases, who asked to be accompanied to the Swiss country in order to legally access assisted suicide.
Elena had received the diagnosis of pulmonary microcytoma at the beginning of July 2021. Immediately the doctors had told her that she would have little chance of getting out of it, after attempts at treatment, she was told that there were still a few months to survive, with a situation which, gradually, would become heavier and heavier.
"I said to my husband and my family: I am at a crossroads. I can take a slightly longer road that leads me to hell. And another, shorter one, that takes me to Switzerland", the words of Mrs. Adelina, whom Cappato accompanied to Switzerland to put an end to her life.
The woman was suffering from an important irreversible lung cancer with metastases. "I then told my husband," continued the woman, "that if he tried to dissuade me, in a month or two, when he saw me suffering he would regret it".
Cappato reported that "it was a long journey, over eight hours from Veneto, a journey made necessary by the fact that Adelina could not have obtained this possibility in Italy, because the sentence of the Constitutional Court excludes that people who cannot be helped to die can be helped to die are kept alive by life-sustaining treatments".
Cappato, tomorrow August 3 will go to self-report at the Carabinieri station in via Fosse Ardeatine 4 in Milan at 11 am. For Marco Cappato this is a new civil disobedience, since the person accompanied is not "kept alive by supportive treatments vital, “therefore it does not fall within the cases provided for by the Constitutional Court judgment 242 \ 2019 on the Cappato \ Dj Fabo case for access to technology in Italy", said Cappato.

This compilation made me cry. So many deaths and so young. What a tragedy. I learned two new words in this summary: fulminant and hydrocution. I can't believe all the reports of someone that died of a sudden illness and died suddenly with cause of death unknown. Why is Italy such a death zone?
