Schoolgirl resuscitated by classmates – young lifesavers honored
October 3, 2022
In a high school in Donauwörth, a student collapses at the beginning of the year. Your classmates, who have been trained in first aid by your teacher, quickly realize that their friend has no pulse and start the chest compressions without hesitation. At the same time, an emergency call is made to the Augsburg rescue control center and the school's automatic external defibrillator (AED) is called by other people. All the links in the rescue chain are perfectly intertwined. While the emergency doctor and ambulance are still on their way, the AED connected by the first responders detects cardiac muscle fibrillation, which would otherwise be fatal if no immediate countermeasures are taken. The surge recommended by the device is triggered without hesitation. When the rescue team from the Bavarian Red Cross arrived at the school, the young patient's heart had already started beating again. The revived patient is flown by rescue helicopter to the University Hospital in Augsburg, where a previously undetected heart defect can be discovered and treated. Today, thanks to the courageous intervention of her classmates, the patient lives a normal life.
No age reported.

Azzate, "sick after the vaccine"
October 15, 2022
“I was very healthy, the last flu at ten, never a sickness certificate at work. Then, between June and July last year, I got vaccinated against Covid and a nightmare began, a torture, especially in the feet, which lasted nine months. At one point I couldn't walk and had to use a wheelchair. I have seen many doctors, but they only started to treat me really only at San Matteo in Pavia, a structure of absolute excellence, my salvation. Fortunately, I'm better now and it really makes sense for me to say that I've started to see the light at the end of the tunnel”.
Rosina Corselloshe is 48 years old, lives in Azzate with her husband and a son, works at an insurance company in the Como area. To tell her story you have to use words that are difficult and difficult to pronounce. We all know one and it is Pfizer, the name of the least discussed and considered safest anti-Covid vaccine. The other is vegetating pemphigus, the name of a very rare autoimmune disease that started in Rosina's body as an adverse reaction to vaccination (with a very high degree of probability, the doctors who treat her have established, and it seems that this is an almost unique case in Italy). "I will never recover from pemphigus," explains Rosina, "but I can keep it under control. Until a few weeks ago I went to Pavia twice a week, I still take an antibiotic and cortisone, and previously I had chemotherapy."
For this reason, Rosina already turned to a lawyer months ago, the lawyer Massimo Masciocchi, who wrote to the Ministry of Health, the Lombardy Region and the Asst Sette Laghi asking for the compensation provided for by the law since "it is evident, as also highlighted in the medical reports, the close correlation between the anti Covid vaccination and the aforementioned disease (vegetating pemphigus, ed ) also in consideration of the fact that Mrs. Corsello, in the past, has never suffered from significant pathologies nor, much less, autoimmune diseases or diseases related to the immune system”.
From this point of view there is optimism - Rosina Corsello will appear before the Commission which will assess her status next March - while so far it has been of no use to consult Pfizer with a request for damages. In fact, the pharmaceutical multinational replied to the lawyer Masciocchi, in summary, that the European authorities, by authorizing the vaccine, "have established that the evidence supports a conclusion that the potential known benefits outweigh the potential known risks". And that the leaflet indicates "the possibility of additional side effects to those listed." Unsatisfactory response, it is clear, which is why the woman and her lawyer are considering suing Pfizer.
Immediately after the first dose, the disease manifested itself with small lesions and ulcerations in the mouth, which Rosina mistook for canker sores. And then, fifteen days after the second dose, the first problems with the toes, armpits and groin came. With a constant and frightening worsening, especially as regards the right foot, with rashes, lesions and ulcerations, in the following months. The suspected pemphigus was diagnosed only in September and the turning point for Rosina came thanks to the meeting with Dr. Camilla Vassalloof San Matteo di Pavia. “I will never thank you enough. She looked me in the eyes of her and said: she will be long, but she will come out. For the foot injuries I also had to use a wheelchair, because I could no longer walk, and a diaper due to the continuous and unstoppable loss of fluids from ulcerations. But the treatment works, in August I was able to remove the bandages and now I'm better”.
What do you think of the Covid vaccine? "I didn't want to do it, I had heard of the possibility of side effects. And then I have never caught Covid, even if I have been close to sick people. In the end I got the vaccine out of altruism, not for myself but for others, so as not to infect someone. How could I have imagined what would happen to me? It is clear that today I would not recommend this vaccine, also because my experience tells me that those who have adverse reactions are not reassured and treated, as it should always happen when one is sick. But I'm not against vaccines in general".

Illness in the field during training, a serious boy
October 14, 2022
Viareggio - A training like all the others at the beginning of the week, in view of the weekend matches, those of the little ones, under 14 years old. But in an instant the usual kicking at the ball together with teammates became a tragedy: the boy accused an illness, the coach immediately understood that there was a need for specialist assistance and from the sports field the ambulance sent by the 118 operations center transported the very young player to the pediatric emergency room of the Versilia hospital. After the first investigations of the case, however, the doctor on duty realized that there was something more serious than the first symptoms with which the boy had arrived at the hospital, and that he had to act quickly.
The CT scan confirmed the suspicion of a serious hemorrhage and the little patient was transported aboard the regional helicopter rescue to the Meyer pediatric hospital in Florence where he is currently hospitalized - still in serious condition - and where he was subjected to all the treatments of the case by neurosurgery specialists. Many clung to the family of the very young sportsman to bring even a word of comfort in the face of an event that no one could foresee, as confirmed to the Tyrrhenian by the director of the Neonatology and Pediatrics department of the Versilia hospital, Luigi Gagliardi.

Carabinieri save an elderly motorist caught by sudden illness
October 13, 2022
The Carabinieri of the Operational Intervention Company of Vibo Valentia, who for some months have been offering qualified support to the Carabinieri Company of Cerignola in the multiple control activities of the territory, in recent days, have helped an elderly cl. 1945 who, while he was on board his own car, was suddenly seized by a serious illness. The Carabinieri, in particular, were passing through Corso Scuola Agraria in Cerignola when, suddenly, they noticed a car that was moving - in an anomalous way - in a zigzag along the road, thus creating a situation of general danger for road safety. The military, who immediately intervened, perceived the gravity of the current situation, then blocked the car and noticed - right away - that the driver was in a confusional state and could not answer any questions that were addressed to him. While they were trying to identify him, the elderly man began to reveal breathing difficulties, among other things. Shortly after, 118, alerted by the Carabinieri intervened, arrived on the spot and assuming a potential stroke in progress they immediately transported the elderly to the Riuniti Hospital in Foggia, for the necessary urgent health care. The elderly is still hospitalized at this health facility, where investigations are being carried out to understand the causes of the illness. Fortunately, the health conditions of the rescued person are stable and certainly the intervention of the military was decisive, which first of all made it possible to prevent the man from endangering other road users, as well as himself; in addition, the timely intervention - in fact life-saving - also allowed the elderly to be entrusted in time to medical care.
Sick while driving a rescue vehicle
October 11, 2022
It was supposed to be an exercise activity intended to rescue tourists stranded on a beach but it could turn into tragedy. Apprehension in the late morning yesterday at the port of Salerno where a rescue boat of the Humanitas ended up against the breakwater dock due, it seems, to the illness contracted by the driver. Everything happened in a matter of seconds: the exercise of the Civil Protection in which the schools also participated, organized as part of the week dedicated to the rescue organization, was coming to an end. In particular, activities related to the rescue of people stranded on the beach were simulated, with exclusive access from the sea, after ignoring a weather alert. To make everything more credible, a landslide on the beach was also simulated with the injury of some present. Everything went well and the children - accompanied for the occasion by the Red Cross, Civil Protection, Carabinieri, State Police, Fire Brigade, Guardia di Finanza, Alpine Rescue, Coast Guard, Humanitas and Anpas - were preparing to treasure what learned. Suddenly, while the boats were returning, an illness would have hit the driver of the Humanitas vehicle which crashed on the rocks. The occupants of the boat got away with some bruises and a big fright. The driver of the vehicle was rescued and transferred in red code to the Ruggi hospital in Salerno where he was visited and stabilized. He wouldn't be in danger of life.
