Partially Deaf Grammy Nominee Fights to Restore Hearing After Sudden Loss
September 23, 2022
Grammy-award nominated musician K.Flay is opening up to fans about her sudden brush with hearing loss.
Critics and fans have long praised K.Flay's innovative songwriting and gifted lyricism. But on Friday, the artist posted photos on Instagram as she underwent treatment for "[her] sudden sensorineural hearing loss." Even though she's more than halfway done with treatment, she said there hasn't been improvement to the "single sided deafness & tinnitus in [her] right ear." She also said she was grappling with "severe vertigo."
"[I]'ve been diagnosed with SSNHL (sudden sensorineural hearing loss) and labyrinthitis, which is basically when a virus gets inside your ear canal and attacks the hair cells," she wrote at the time. "[D]octors don't really know how or why it happens—it's just one of those freak things."

JJ Watt's heart had to be shocked to get back in rhythm
October 3, 2022
Another day, another sports coverup this time courtesy of the NFL: Despite having AFib, Watt was listed on the injury report as “questionable” for the game against the Panthers with a “calf injury.”
Why was JJ Watt listed as having a “calf injury”? Was his team or the NFL trying to hide his heart complication? A complication that has been linked to the Covid vaccine?
In September, Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury proudly announced his team was 100% vaccinated. “Fully vaccinated” players can eat out on the road and are not confined to the hotel. They can eat with teammates in the lunch room, and there are no restrictions on the number of players who can be in the weight room at one time.

Texans rookie WR John Metchie diagnosed with leukemia, unlikely to play in 2022 season
July 24, 2022
John Metchie III is unlikely to play his rookie season after being diagnosed with a treatable form of leukemia, the Texans wide receiver announced Sunday. "Recently I was diagnosed with APL (Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia), the most curable form of Leukemia," Metchie said in a statement. "I am currently receiving great medical care, am in good spirits and I expect to make a recovery at a later point in time. As a result of this diagnosis, I will likely not be playing football this season. My main focus will be on my health and recovery. Thank you in advance for your support and well-wishes. I cannot wait to come back stronger than ever. God bless."
Acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) is a blood cancer characterized by a marked increase in a type of immature white blood cells known as promyelocytes, according to the National Organization of Rare Disorders.
The Texans selected Metchie with the No. 44 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. The former Alabama product tallied 96 receptions for 1,142 receiving yards and eight touchdowns during his junior season before tearing his ACL in the SEC Championship Game. Metchie was placed on the non-football illness list by the Texans following Sunday's news.
News Anchor Reveals She Underwent Brain Surgery to Remove Tumor
October 5, 2022
CNN anchor and chief national affairs analyst Kasie Hunt is reflecting on her recent health scare. On Tuesday, Hunt marked the one-year anniversary since she underwent brain surgery to remove a benign tumor. Hunt first opened up about the operation back in October of last year, when she revealed to fans on Instagram that she "had a delicate but successful surgery to remove a small tumor from my brain that turned out to be benign." At the time, Hunt said she was "now in recovery" and would be "off the air several more weeks," as "brain surgery really takes it out of you!"
In her Tuesday post, Hunt shared with fans that a year after the operation, she is "able to say I am completely healthy and can physically live my life as though it never happened." However, the health scare has left a lasting impact, with Hunt added, "But I can't lead my life like it never did. I have learned so much." Hunt, who was just 36 when she received her diagnosis, went on to reflect on her health journey, writing that "had spend weeks planning what life would look like for my loved ones – my then 2-year-old son – without me in it" by the time the day of her surgery came around.

A “vaxxident”?
VP Harris was in a car accident, oddly and falsely attributed to ‘mechanical failure’
October 6, 2022
On Monday, an SUV carrying Vice President Kamala Harris was in an accident that was initially described as being caused by a “mechanical failure.” The minor incident occurred at around 10:30 am as Harris was headed to the White House. The driver of the vehicle “had a minor overcorrection and struck a curb,” explained Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi. The collision did not cause any injuries, but the impact did cause enough damage to the tire that it needed to be replaced. The entire motorcade escorting Harris had to be brought to a stop until the necessary fixes were made.
The Washington Post noted that the accident was first blamed on a “mechanical failure” which even went out to an alert to senior leadership to explain why the motorcade was delayed. However, Guglielmi noted that this was a miscommunication and was later corrected. “Initial radio traffic indicated this was a mechanical failure, and that was communicated to agency leadership by personnel supporting the motorcade movement,” he explained. “After the protective movement was completed, leadership was verbally updated with additional pertinent facts that the vehicle struck a curb.”
Despite the fact that this may seem like a minor inaccuracy, Secret Service Director Kim Cheatle reportedly voiced her concerns about just how wrong the initial alert was, according to a WaPo source from within the agency. According to the report, even VP Harris is wondering how a driver managed to end up jumping a curb given their extensive training. Ultimately, the accident only caused a few minutes of delay and nobody involved including the vice president was injured, said Harris’ spokeswoman Kirsten Allen. “The Vice President sustained no injuries and appreciates the quick response by her [Secret Service] detail to get her to the White House safely.”
The 2022 Qatar World Cup starts in six weeks. I'm curious how they'll cover up the vaxxidents that occur on the soccer field, in the stands and across the country.
