Wynonna Judd Forced to Cancel New Year’s Eve Performance in Nashville Last Minute

Nashville, TN - 2022 was an incredibly difficult year for country singer Wynonna Judd, and country music fans overall. In April of last year, millions mourned the loss of Wynonna Judd’s singing partner and 76-year-old mother Naomi Judd. Nevertheless, despite all the heartache that the year brought, the “Rock Bottom” singer was set to wrap 2022 on a high note. On Saturday, she was scheduled to take to the stage alongside Kelsea Ballerini at Nashville’s New Year’s Eve Big Bash. Sadly, she was forced to cancel her performance last minute due to an extreme bout of vertigo. Wynonna Judd revealed as much in a Saturday evening Instagram post. Addressing fans, she wrote, “I was looking so forward to singing with my dear [Kelsea Ballerini] tonight. Instead, I am on the bus struggling with an extreme bout of vertigo, and am unable to perform.”

Martina Navratilova, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest tennis players of all time, has been diagnosed with two forms of cancer, she revealed to Tennis.com in an article published Monday. The 66-year-old said doctors diagnosed her with Stage 1 throat cancer as well as an unrelated form of breast cancer. "This double whammy is serious but still fixable, and I'm hoping for a favorable outcome," she told the outlet. "It's going to stink for a while, but I'll fight with all [I've] got." Navratilova said she first noticed a sign of cancer during the Women's Tennis Association finals in Fort Worth, Texas, last November. It was there she noticed a lymph node in her neck was enlarged, and when it didn't reduce on its own, she got a biopsy. She was diagnosed with Stage 1 throat cancer stemming from human papillomavirus, or HPV. HPV is a common sexually transmitted infection that is thought to cause about 70% of oropharyngeal cancers in the U.S., according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Navratilova told Tennis.com that doctors issued a strong prognosis and that she will begin treatment this month. This isn't Navratilova's first battle with cancer. She was previously diagnosed with a non-invasive form of breast cancer called ductal carcinoma in situ, or DCIS, in February 2010 after a routine mammogram. This form of breast cancer, known as stage 0 breast cancer, makes up roughly 1 in 5 new breast cancer diagnoses, according to the American Cancer Society, which says that "nearly all women" with this diagnosis can be cured. She underwent a lumpectomy and six weeks of radiation following that diagnosis and announced later that year that she was "cancer-free."

Jeremy Renner Update Reports Serious Amount of Blood Loss, Extensive Injuries

There are new reports regarding the injuries sustained by Jeremy Renner in a snowplowing accident on New Year's Day. The star of Hawkeye and Mayor of Kingstown was airlifted by helicopter to a hospital in the Reno, Nevada area on January 1st and was reportedly in critical condition. TMZ has new information and video of Renner's status, with the video featuring the actor being taken away in the helicopter. According to a neighbor, Renner was plowing the road outside of his Tahoe home when the Snowcat machine accidentally ran over one of his legs, resulting in heavy blood loss. Another neighbor, who is a doctor, reportedly was able to build a tourniquet to treat the leg until paramedics arrived. TMZ also reports the police treated the area as an active crime scene, due to the fact that the Snowcat has built-in safety features that should have prevented an accident of this nature. Jeremy Renner is still listed as in "critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather-related accident while plowing snow," according to his representation. Renner's reps added, "his family is with him and he is receiving excellent care." Jeremy Renner is widely known for his role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, appearing in multiple films and starring in his own solo series titled Hawkeye on Disney+ which was released in November 2021. His next major role is Season 2 of Mayor of Kingstown, which will begin streaming on Paramount+ in two weeks on January 15th. The series was created by Yellowstone showrunner Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon.

Former Dio Guitarist Craig Goldy Battling Mystery Illness That’s ‘Baffled’ Doctors

The former guitarist of DIO , Craig Goldy , is suffering from an illness of which the causes are not known.
Craig Goldy, the 61-year-old heavy metal guitarist and solo artist who was a member of the bands Dio and Giuffria, is currently battling a mystery illness that has "baffled" his doctors and specialists, as he shared in a public Facebook post this week. The illness is not life-threatening, Goldy explained. However, a biopsy apparently did help to close in on the cause, he said. "I've had a bit of a setback health-wise," Goldy says in his message from Monday (Dec. 26). "Nothing life threatening but no known cause and no known cure for just 1 of 4 things going on!" He continues, "Everything happens for a reason and even bad things come with a benefit! The reason and benefit [are] much more clear than what's going on (a story for another time) that has baffled 6 doctors and specialists... They don't know what it is either." Goldy adds, "But through a biopsy, the one became known because … my symptoms … did not match anything in their database. I have a new doctor and am optimistic that this is the beginning of the end for all four!"

Marcus Coloma Did Not Film Final ‘General Hospital’ Scenes “Due To Health Issues”

Marcus Coloma confirmed his exit from General Hospital after three years of portraying Nikolas Cassadine. His departure came with the news that the actor was not able to film his final scenes. Colomo’s final appearance is due at the end of January. Deadline has now learned that Coloma and ABC came to an agreement “that he should not film the remaining few days of the year” following “health issues with his recent Covid exposure” that had kept him away from the soap set recently. A spokesperson for the actor also rebutted rumors that Coloma was fired and walked off the set refusing to film his final scenes. Coloma signed a three-year contract back in 2019 with the network, which was fulfilled this year. In a letter addressed to friends and fans, Coloma shared in a statement how grateful he is to the General Hospital fanbase that have supported him throughout his journey on the soap.
