Morgan Wallen Cancels Mississippi Show Minutes Before Taking the Stage
April 24, 2023
Morgan Wallen fans in Mississippi aren't waking up singing his songs, or his praises ... because he pulled the plug on a concert just minutes before he was set to get onstage.
The country singer was about to jump into night 2 of his shows Sunday night at the University of Mississippi and the crowd was ready to hear some hits before screens around the stadium displayed the last thing they wanted to see.
The message told concert-goers that Morgan's voice was shot and he wouldn't be able to perform, adding they'd get refunded ... but that didn't seem to help, because people obviously were still pissed -- sharing some outrage on social media after they were left high and dry.

Vocalist and bass player Steve Tucker told the audience the guitarist had injured himself, and they played one more song without Azagthoth before leaving the stage.
Tucker said: "I think we're gonna call it a night. Without the leader, I apologize. I love all you motherfuckers. Thank you for coming. Hopefully Trey is all right. We'll see you all again real soon. You have a good fucking night."

Comedian Richard Lewis Reveals Parkinson’s Disease Diagnosis (Video)
April 24, 2023
Comedian and “Curb Your Enthusiasm” actor Richard Lewis revealed in a social media post video Sunday that he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease two years ago.
He began the minute-and-a-half video by sharing that he was just wrapped Season 12 of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” a couple of weeks ago and expressed his gratitude for being a part of that great show. “But,” he said, “the last three and a half years I’ve had sort of a rocky time.”
People have been asking him for the last few years when he’s going to be touring with his standup comedy show again. “Well, here’s really what happened…” he said.
He went on to say that 3.5 years ago, he was in the middle of his tour when he decided he didn’t want to be on the road anymore. “I said, ‘You know, I’m at the top of my game. After 50 years almost, I’m just going to call it quits.’ And I felt great about that. And then out of the blue, the s—t hit the fan.”
Lewis said that he had back surgery, shoulder surgery, shoulder replacement surgery and hip replacement surgery “back to back to back to back,” adding, “Bad luck, but that’s life.”
“On top of all of that,” he continued, two years ago he started “walking a little stiffly” and “shuffling” his feet. After a trip to a neurologist, who gave him a brain scan, he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

Woman Suing Ed Sheeran for ‘Let’s Get It On’ Sound-A-Like Has Medical Emergency in Court
April 27, 2023
Kathryn Townsend Griffin speaks outside New York Federal Court during a copyright infringement trial against singer Ed Sheeran on April 26, 2023.
*(CNN) — Musician Ed Sheeran‘s court case continued Wednesday in a high-profile copyright trial about whether his smash single “Thinking Out Loud” copied the classic Marvin Gaye song “Let’s Get It On.”
Dr. Alexander Stewart, a music expert called by the plaintiffs on Wednesday, testified about the similarities he perceives in aspects of the two songs, saying that the chord progression in the two songs “sound very, very similar” to him.
Sheeran is accused of copying “Let’s Get It On” by the heirs of Ed Townsend, who co-wrote the 1973 hit with Gaye. Townsend’s daughter Kathryn Townsend Griffin, sister Helen McDonald and the estate of his former wife, Cherrigale Townsend, are the listed plaintiffs in the “Thinking Out Loud” case. Gaye died in 1984 and Townsend died in 2003.
In Stewart’s testimony Wednesday, he said in his view the two songs “have the same harmonic rhythm,” referring to the rate of change of the chords. In particular, he sees melodic similarities in the verse, chorus and interlude of Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud,” he said.
After the first couple of minutes of Sheeran’s attorney cross-examining Stewart, Townsend Griffin’s eyes shut and legs failed.

Quickly, people in both the Sheeran and Townsend camps rushed to help and carry Townsend Griffin out of the courtroom.
The judge asked to call court security officers and nurses and there were shouts to call 911.
