Texas Democrat on rare cancer diagnosis: ‘Wondered how much longer’ he’d have with his kids
July 3, 2023
Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-Texas) discussed his rare cancer diagnosis in a Monday Twitter thread, saying he originally found out he had the disease after a car wreck in Spain.
In a series of posts, Castro, a member of Congress since 2013, said he initially wondered how much time he’d have left with his children.
“My younger daughter turned two months old on the day of my accident. I wondered how much longer my kids would have their dad around,” Castro wrote.
Castro had surgery in February to remove tumors from his gastrointestinal tract.
“I could hardly pronounce “neuroendocrine” tumor, a rare form of cancer, when I got to MD Anderson in mid-July 2022,” Castro tweeted. “But I knew that any tumor spreading across your body isn’t good. I hadn’t told many people about my diagnosis even as so many things raced through my mind.”

July 4, 2023
Tyler Labine is recovering after a health scare led him to spend three days in the hospital “trying not to die.”
The “New Amsterdam” alum revealed on Instagram Saturday that what he thought was initially just a bad “stomach ache” turned out to be a “potentially fatal blood clot.”
"Sometimes it’s a Tuesday and you’re walking around with a tummy ache so you try to sleep it off. Then sometimes you wake up on a weds with a stomach ache so bad you decide to go to the ER at your local hospital," he wrote alongside a video of his ambulance ride and arrival to the hospital.
He continued, "And then sometimes your tummy ache turns out to be a potentially fatal blood clot in your intestines and liver and you have to spend the next 3 days in the hospital trying not to die. Just sometimes.”

Eboli - one car accident, 3 victims
July 2, 2023
The tragic toll of the accident that took place on the night just spent along the state road 18 in Eboli, in the province of Salerno, is three dead. The three victims, a man and two women, are a 67-year-old from Camposano, his 65-year-old wife and his 92-year-old mother. Dynamics not yet entirely clear, but according to the first investigative findings, the car in which they were travelling, a gray sedan, would have suddenly gone off the road as it entered a roundabout, probably due to the loss of control by the driver, ending up crashing against the guardrail. There are no other vehicles involved in the accident. The investigations are entrusted to the carabinieri of the Compagnia di Eboli, who intervened during the night on the state road together with the 118 doctors for first aid and the Anas staff who took care of the safety and restoration of the roadway. Following the crash, there were delays in both directions on the "Tirrena Inferiore" state road.

My Future Plans Have Been Stolen:' Woman Shares Shock Diagnosis at 24
June 26, 2023
“I had that classic storyline in my head about how my life would pan out," said Lili Hulac. The 24-year-old, who lives in Melbourne and works as a real estate marketer, told Newsweek she imagined she would "meet someone, we'll date, we'll get married and then we'll have a baby. I always felt I'd conceive really easily. I mean, who doesn't? I'm a pretty maternal person. I used to be a pre-school teacher and I love kids." At the start of this year, however, Hulac received the "devastating" news that she had premature ovarian failure. The condition, also known as primary ovarian insufficiency or POI, "is when a woman under 40 stops having menstrual periods for a year or longer. It affects only about 1 percent of women," Dr. Janet Choi told Newsweek. Choi, a reproductive endocrinologist, who now works as the chief medical officer of Progyny, explained that the condition can be related to chromosome changes or an autoimmune disease. Its symptoms usually mirror those of the menopause, though it's not the same as premature menopause, according to the National Library of Medicine's MedlinePlus guide. "Most women with POI cannot get pregnant naturally," the Endocrine Society states on its website. "They often can carry a pregnancy but most need to use donor eggs."
It is mind-boggling, really, to think that MCM & Company are the only people compiling such lists which our "free press" studiously avoids doing. No wonder "newspaper" subscriptions cost anywhere from one dollar to four per month: nobody trusts them any longer.
The 24 yo Australian woman diagnosed with premature ovarian failure probably also got 3 doses of Gardasil in her teens.
