Fremont Student Found Dead At CA School For The Blind

FREMONT, CA — A student was found dead Friday morning at the California School for the Blind, the California Highway Patrol reported.
During a routine morning check, a school staff member found an unresponsive student in their dorm room.
At 7:30 a.m., deputies were asked to conduct an investigation of the dormitory at the Fremont campus. Arriving paramedics pronounced the student dead.
The CHP, along with the Alameda County Coroner's Office said they conducted a thorough investigation, with full cooperation of school staff.
"There were no obvious signs of foul play found at the scene and the investigation into the cause of death is ongoing," CHP officials said in a statement.

Onslow County Schools confirm that Betsy Castle, principal at Southwest Elementary School, suddenly died last night.
Castle’s bio on the school’s web site said she was a native of Raleigh, attended Lenoir-Rhyne University for her undergraduate degree, Indiana University Bloomington for her master’s, and East Carolina University for a master’s in administration and curriculum.
She is survived by her husband and two daughters.

HOLLAND [Michigan] — The Black River Public School community is grieving the loss of a teacher, coach and friend following the unexpected death of teacher Joe Schuler.
Schuler, 23, died Sunday, Feb. 27, from a pulmonary embolism, according to his obituary. He was in his first year as a physics teacher at Black River, but had already had a lasting effect on the students and school community.
Schuler, an Eagle Scout, was an avid lover of the outdoors. His BRPS staff profile highlighted his love of hiking, exploring, taking backpacking trips, reading, running and biking.

I have posted part of this story elsewhere, but I want to get the word out. My (half) sister’s mother suffered a cerebral thrombosis the day after her booster; during the surgery to remove the pinky-sized clot, she suffered two strokes. She survived, but she is permanently and devastatingly disabled and will never again live independently. Three (four?) surgeons admitted to my sister that these events were most likely due to the shots (no duh), but not one of them reported it to VAERS (my sister did). She was hesitant to get the shots, but got them at the insistence of her boyfriend.
During a routine pre-op physical to repair a hernia, it was ultimately discovered that my father, a spry and active 89-yo, suffers from “a-fib”; a condition he has never suffered previously. My dad got the shots (no booster that I’m aware of) because my mom thought it was a good idea. (I tried to warn them, but my views are “too extreme”.)
Had either my dad or my sister’s mother died, it would never make any newspaper except perhaps an obituary. I understand that every one of us will die, and that my dad and his ex-wife are old, but damn…that’s quite a coincidence.
My heart breaks for every victim...but especially for the young ones. 💔
