"Talkin' to the Dog" and "Say Goodbye"
Two rock songs by my dad, Jordan Miller, who will turn 96 this month
My father has been writing songs (and poetry) for decades—I had a band in high school that recorded two of them, back in the Sixties—so I am proud and pleased to share two of his latest songs with you, as they’ve been recorded by Distance to Elsewhere, a band formed by three physicians in Chicago, where my dad lives.
This link will take you to all the band’s recorded work on Soundcloud. “Talkin’ to the Dog” is first; and my dad also wrote “Say Goodbye,” the second song on that site. (That’s a folky rendering. Scroll way down for a rockin’ version.)
If the world we knew were still intact, I think these songs might both be hits. Today—and far more importantly—they give me joy, and, I hope, will give you some joy, too.
Say Good-bye is lovely 🥰
I love say goodbye! You're so lucky to still have your dad, snd a groovy dad at that!
