RICHARD GERE HOSPITALIZED IN MEXICO ... Hit with Pneumonia, But OK
February 18, 2023
Fifth Season And Vertical Host A Special Screening Of
Richard Gere is recovering in Mexico this weekend after he caught a case of pneumonia -- this while vacationing with his family -- but the good news is ... he's gonna be alright.
Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ ... the actor is down near Nuevo Vallarta this week -- where he's celebrating the 40th birthday of his wife, Alejandra Silva, with their kids. Alejandra posted a photo Thursday showing her and the kiddos walking toward a beach.
We're told that, before the trip, Richard developed a bad cough ... and it continued while he was there as well. Our sources say it got so bad, he had to check himself into a hospital ... where we're told he was diagnosed with pneumonia and treated in an overnight stay. Unclear what day he went in, but we're told it was during his vacay -- which is ongoing.
Fortunately, he was out the following day ... and we're told Richard was given antibiotics to help keep the illness at bay. For now, our sources say he seems to be doing much better.

To “raise awareness” of atrial fibrillation, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has “partnered” with the company whose product surely gave it to him (and countless others):
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Has Atrial Fibrillation, Partners With Bristol Myers Squibb and Pfizer to Raise Awareness
February 16, 2023
NBA great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has partnered with Bristol Myers Squibb and Pfizer for its “No Time To Wait” campaign in an effort to raise awareness for atrial fibrillation.
The Today Show reports that close to 12.3 million people could have atrial fibrillation by 2030, however, many will remain undiagnosed because they lack symptoms.
Atrial fibrillation is close to Jabbar because he was recently diagnosed with atrial fibrillation.
“I had shortness of breath, fatigue, I had no energy. I was worried about it, but it wasn’t consistent. It would come and go,” Abdul-Jabbar said to the Today Show
. “I thought, “Hey, I’m in the shape of my life. It’s not going to affect me.'”
Jabbar was on vacation in Europe with his son when he began having shortness of breath, but disregarded it because he felt he was in great shape. Then one day, Jabbar didn’t have the strength to get up.
“They had to help me out to my car. While I was going past the trophy case, I collapsed against it,” Jabbar recalled. “It was rough. And I didn’t know what was going on — that was the whole problem. I didn’t understand what was happening.”
Jabbar ignoring signs is not uncommon, yet dangerous.
“In my experience, I have seen many patients ignore or dismiss their symptoms, potentially delaying diagnosis and treatment,” Dr. Andrea Russo, director of cardiac electrophysiology and arrhythmia services at Cooper University Health System, said in a press release.
Russo added: “Because AFib can lead to serious consequences, including increasing the risk of stroke, its critical individuals are empowered to speak with a healthcare professional about any symptoms they may have. No symptom or concern is too small or insignificant.”
What Dr. Russo evidently doesn’t know, or want to know:

How Abdul-Jabbar “raised awareness” among NBA players:
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Says NBA Players Should Get Vaccinated Or Be Kicked Off The Team
September 28, 2021
Retired NBA superstar Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has a message for professional basketball players who are refusing to get the COVID-19 vaccine: Get the shot or get off the squad.
"The NBA should insist that all players and staff are vaccinated or remove them from the team," Abdul-Jabbar said in an article published in Rolling Stone on Saturday.
"There is no room for players who are willing to risk the health and lives of their teammates, the staff and the fans simply because they are unable to grasp the seriousness of the situation or do the necessary research," the NBA Hall of Famer added. [Look who’s talking—MCM]

Health Fears For 72-Year-Old Cybill Shepherd: Pals Worry As Veteran Actress ‘Struggles’ To Move Without Walking Cane
February 3, 2023
Former Hollywood glamour girl and supermodel Cybill Shepherd can allegedly no longer walk without a cane or leaning on a companion's arm, RadarOnline.com has learned.
Insiders speculate the 72-year-old Last Picture movie actress may be suffering from an advanced case of arthritis. Cybill struggled to walk down a New York City street after exiting a studio where she'd filmed an appearance for the Tamron Hall Show.
"Her decline is so sad and tragic," dished a Tinseltown source. "She was once a Hollywood bombshell with a body and beauty to die for, but now she looks bloated and frail and has trouble moving without assistance."
Meanwhile, one doctor — who has not worked on Cybill — estimated the 5-foot-8 Moonlighting drama star, who once dated the King of Rock and Roll Elvis Presley , is at risk for a host of medical troubles.
"She's definitely courting catastrophe," warned lifespan expert Dr. Gabe Mirkin .
The ex-bombshell is still working in Hollywood. In her latest role in How to Murder Your Husband: The Nancy Brophy Story , Cybill plays a crime author whose claim to fame is writing about women who fantasize about killing their own husbands.

Here’s an update on the 68 year neighbor and friend I offered IVM to in hopes of persuading her to stop getting the shots. She was slender, didn’t smoke or drink and told me she’d had a complete blood review by her Doctor last year who gave her a clean bill of health, as well as the jabs:
Suffered a massive and fatal heart attack, dying alone on her bathroom floor. Not found until four weeks later. Her young dog suffered and died needlessly in her condo as well.
I only wish she’d have told me her Doctor’s name. I’d deliver the news in person.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar partnering with the company that likely did this to him. And he accuses the unvaxxed of "not doing their research"?!? Holy crap, dude.
