I think the 'defund' police was just a ruse to introduce AI policing and goons. There is an area in NoCal where officials acknowledging the rise in crime, introduced license plate readers. Yeah that makes sense as if criminals won't figure out how to switch plates? So officials create the problem by denouncing police - our mayor called them 'killers' in front of a selected group - and then they propose the solutions. And the solution will be mercenary cops who have no allegiance to the people and AI. Early on in the 'defund' police movement, I read a quote by a retired basketball player who said when he was a kid the local cops would take off their gun belt and play with the kids. He was saddened that this would never happen today. This is the problem that needs fixing. We need to build community respect between the policed and police such that a cop could put down their gun belt to play basketball.
The responses on that Twitter reveal how full of hate those clamoring for a police state are. "Why didn't she just comply with police and back up?" One sheeple asks. Good lord. They justify beating a woman and shooting a projectile into her while also preaching 'diversity, love for all,' etc. Wokies are the scourge of the western world.
It's the best and the ones with most integrity and pride that leave; then the vacuum get filled by the worst: the violent, blind order followers. Not unlike medicine or teaching, once noble professions.
I think the point is that they're not. The purpose of "Defund the police" has been to marshal "left" support for the globalist plan to dump municipal police departments, and their unions, in favor of globalist goons, AI, robo-dogs and other innovations that will make us all nostalgic for the days of human cops, with all their faults (and, in some cases, virtues).

I think you’re right. They seem to enjoy “the whole world is watching” aspect of this show.
But who are these ‘police’? Privately bought and paid for ‘milita’? UN goons? It’s unlikely there aren’t enough ‘local’ police who will go against their fellow Canadians that are taking this stand and beat them up.
