This week's selection ends with Sam Cooke's mighty hymn of promise from way back in 1964—a song that's newly resonant for ALL of us now fighting to be free
It's getting crazier all the time out there, even among those who are on our side. Recently, I came across an article whose poster - usually a good source of information - said that those who have been jabbed OR swabbed at any time have been microchipped and so all hope is lost for them. I've never been jabbed nor ever will be (willingly), but I was swabbed once in May 2020 (never again for that), so I tried to post a comment in which I challenged him to give proof about those who were swabbed, but he refused to post my reply. He's got his narrative, facts be damned. Apparently he only wants sycophants posting in his comments section. I HATE it when I run across a site like that, especially for a topic as important as this. Those people don't want debate, only devotion - so how is that different from what Fauci, Gates, et al want? It only hurts our side when people behave like that.
So, thanks, Mark, for letting all of us post without having to worry about running afoul of what you believe.
The "Vaccine Zombie" was really wild!! I watched that with delight -- stuff like that (and there's a lot of it going around) shows that the millennials really GET it. They are angry and not buying the BS pumped out by our government -- they know the present (illegitimate) government has ruined their future.
As a fellow artist I am blown away by your choices and emotions that they elicit.
It is very difficult to be an artist and be silenced.
The idea that one knows the horror of the truth yet be unable to put it into a painting that would make others feel the pain is very painful personally. Nothing seems to fill that need I have.
Yet It seems as though the music is the one medium that ALWAYS touches the soul and is the most effective.
Thanks for your immense caring. Thanks for your bravery and thanks for sharing it with the world.
I've just been watching Steve Kirsch and the brave doctors and friends rally at the capital in Sacramento to stop the medical fascism bill from being signed into law by Newsom, so the superlative Sam Cooke quells all that fear and sense of total incoherence. Here's Mavis Staples singing "Hard Times Come Again No More"
The winter before this, when delta was hitting the parts of India that weren't using ivermectin and there were non-stop pyres on the banks of the Ganges, TikTok went off on a sea shanty binge, those rhythms being what allowed sailors to join their minds together in the harshest of circumstances, so here's a sort of sea shanty Fisherman's Friends singing Keep on Hauling https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZsO348BOW0&list=RDKZsO348BOW0&index=1

The Sam Cooke song made me cry.
