Deion Sanders may have to get his foot amputated
June 16, 2023
Deion Sanders may have to get his left foot amputated as he continues to suffer from blood flow problems in the area, according to doctors with the Colorado football team.
“You just have to understand what the risks are,” vascular surgeon Donald Jacobs told Sanders on “Thee Pregame.”
“Things can cascade.”
Jacobs also told Colorado athletic trainer Lauren Askevold that “he could lose the foot.”
Sanders, the new coach of the Colorado Buffaloes football team, has been dealing with issues with this foot for some time, including having to have his big toe and the toe next to it amputated due to blood clots running down his leg from the top of his calf.

Iago Garay Suffers Brain Aneurysm at Pietra Ligure
June 12, 2023
Iago Garay shared a terrifying incident on his Instagram earlier today from his weekend at Pietra Ligure. What started as a normal race day ended up requiring two surgeries to treat an aneurism in his brain. We are so relieved that he is resting, doing well and expected to make a full recovery.
On Saturday the 3rd I started my day in Pietra Ligure like any other one. I felt quite relaxed and ready for a big day ahead. I remember climbing to the second stage motivated and in good spirits. It started quite well and I could tell I was going slightly faster as I was getting closer to the edge. I was enjoying that feeling. As I got somewhere halfway down it I suddenly started noticing something was a bit off. My ears started buzzing and sort of popped...
At [one] point it all became quite a blur, I couldn’t really control much my bike but eventually made it to the bottom. All I could do was lay on the floor and go through what was the most painful thing I’ve ever experienced in my life. I was lucky enough to have a great team of medics nearby and in less than an hour I was at the neuroscience emergency room in Pietra Ligure hospital were they found out I had an aneurism in my brain.
I needed two surgeries during the weekend and another one two days ago, but so far the doctors are positive I will make it out 100% and back into a normal life. I must stay another week in the hospital under close surveillance to make sure everything develops correctly, the spirit is getting better little by little and I’m really looking forward to going outside soon...—Iago Garay

PGA Commissioner Jay Monahan Is Going on Medical Leave
June 14, 2023
Just days after the PGA Tour announced that they had reached an agreement with the Saudi LIV Golf Tournament to combine into a single organization, news broke that PGA Commissioner Jay Monahan was going on medical leave. The news left many confused, both about the timing and about what might have happened to Jay that led him to take leave.
In a statement late on June 13, the PGA announced that Jay would be taking a leave of absence to recuperate from a medical condition.
“Jay Monahan informed the PGA Tour Policy Board that he is recuperating from a medical situation,” the statement explained. “The board fully supports Jay and appreciates everyone respecting his privacy.” No details were offered on the nature of Jay's condition, and it doesn't seem like fans should expect those details to be forthcoming.
When celebrities (whether in sports, entertainment or politics) become gravely ill it is always reported on. There is now no denying that the numbers have gone way up. I wonder what it will take for some of these celebrities to say WTF when they see what is happening to their cohort?
I do not know who most of these people are but Deion Sanders was an other worldly athlete. It was something special to see that guy play in real time. Few players had that. Bo Jackson was one. Barry Sanders was another. Walter "Sweetness" Payton. Jerry Rice. Herschel Walker.
There was those athletes that constantly were effecting the field, just notes above everyone else. Deion may have been the most talented of them all.
Thats what made Ray Lewis so fun to watch, he was one of those guys too. I retired from watching football when he retired. Im sure there are a few these days. But my point is, Deion may be the most naturally gifted professional athlete I have seen in my lifetime.
How does someone with such refined genetics come down with a condition like this? He has had access to the best healthcare (why does autocorrect want healthcare capitalized?) available in the world his entire professional life. He has money, its not like he is going to the local clinic for help. I would suspect he has a personal chef.
This is all conjecture on my part, but he might lose a foot? Really? Sorry folks, that is sus. That doesn't happen to people like this without something making it happen.
