Long before Neil Young and Crosby, Stills and Nash and a few other ignorant clowns were crying and whining, Van was trying to open up gigs for struggling musicians who need to work to pay the rent and feed their families. While he has a reputation for being grumpy, he showed where he stands while most other classic rock stars didn’t have any backbone whatsoever. It just astonishes me how Young and the rest can possibly still kid themselves on that they are somehow "radical" and "cutting edge" without realising that the whole media is so pleased to give them a high profile and even trumpet their "revolutionary credentials".
The aging celebrities are “easy meat” for the propagandists. Just throw them a few shekels and tell them that they are helping to keep everyone safe and they’ll jump at a chance to step into the spotlight. An interesting thing I saw - Lukas Nelson, Willie’s son has been backing Neil Young along with his band Promises of the Real. I noticed that he was recently a part of the WEF Young Leaders. What could they possibly be using a stoner hippy musician for other than to influence all who still feel to be a part of Woodstock Nation.
