Stephen Clinch, probably best remembered for playing Noely, the criminal in the popular RTE Irish crime drama Love/Hate, has passed away suddenly at the age of 52. He was reportedly found dead in Dublin this Tuesday, May 24. His funeral will take place on May 28, according to dailystar.co.uk.

John Regan, 63, laid to rest: ‘A beautiful light has gone out all too soon’

“Your life John is like an unfinished story, we desperately want to keep reading. Goodbyes hurt the most when the story is incomplete”. The poignant words of Fr Pat Doody, speaking at the funeral of John Regan in the Augustinian Church on Monday morning.
The church was packed with his heartbroken family, friends and colleagues, most importantly his beloved wife Christine, daughter Suzanne and her husband Paul, son David and his wife Annamarie, grandchildren Emily and Ted, brother Joe and sister Kathleen.
The popular operations manager at Ballymagarvey House died suddenly in his house in Spain at just 63 years of age, which brought much shock and sorrow to all those who loved him. “Tears are the words the mouth can’t say, nor can the heart bear,” said Fr Pat, who is related to John through marriage.
“Spain was John and Christine’s ‘happy place’ and the tributes paid to him over the past week show the high esteem in which John was held, with a common thread; his kindness, his empathy, his style which was evident in the wedding dresses he designed, his attention to detail – the needle and thread always at hand in case of an emergency – and his warm smile and wit.”

A fit and healthy young woman died in her sleep without warning.
Catherine Keane's housemates didn't think much of it when she failed to come down for breakfast at the height of the Covid pandemic last summer.
The 31-year-old and her pals were all working from home in Rathmines in Dublin, and so their schedules were no longer as rigid.
However, by mid-morning they were a little concerned and sent her a text and when there was no response checked her room, reports the Irish Mirror the Irish Mirror.
They found Catherine had passed away in the night.
It was later determined she'd died from Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS).
SADS is a condition where someone dies suddenly and unexpectedly from a cardiac arrest, but the cause of the cardiac arrest can't be found.

Sad news as former Mnemic vocalist Guillaume Bideau has died. He was just 44 years old. The vocalist hailed from France and fronted the Danish metal band from 2006 to 2013. The band recorded five full-length albums, three of which featured Bideau on vocals: 2007’s “Passenger”, 2010’s “Sons Of The System” and 2012’s “Mnemesis”. Bideau also fronted bands like Scarve between 1998 and 2008, and he sang for other groups like One-Way Mirror and Melted Space.
The news was broken in social mieda posts by former bandmates such as Bideau’s former Scarve bandmate and close friend, Dirk Verbeuren (Megadeth, ex-Soilwork, Bent Sea), and former Mnemic guitarist Mircea Gabriel Eftemie.

2 bikers lose their lives on the National 10 in Peujard

A road accident killed 2 people in Peujard this Saturday noon. A biker and his passenger killed themselves on the N10 in the north-south direction. The road remained closed for three hours while the emergency services intervened.
According to witnesses of the accident, the pilot of the motorcycle suddenly lost control of his machine, perhaps due to discomfort or in any case to a medical problem. The two-wheeler began to zigzag on the 2X2 lanes and the passenger tried to take the handlebars in hand. But the motorcycle, which was still traveling at high speed, got stuck in the central safety barrier.
The pilot, a 58-year-old man, died instantly. His passenger was ejected on the other side of the national then hit by an oncoming car. Supported by firefighters, this 52-year-old woman finally died of her injuries before being transferred to hospital.
The passengers of the car involved in the accident were also taken care of by the firefighters. Very shocked, they received psychological help.

Paul Poloczek dead – Mystery as Polish bodybuilder dies aged 37 hours after tournament leaving partner heartbroken

PRO bodybuilder Paul Poloczek has suddenly died aged 37, just hours after leaving a tournament.
Mystery surrounds the Polish athlete's passing, who was last seen attending the NPC Worldwide Championship in Germany.
Poloczek's wife confirmed his death at the weekend in a touching Instagram post.
Her post on May 28 was accompanied with an image of a black ribbon and Poloczek and read: "Bodybuilding was your life. You are not forgotten, you live on in our hearts. We will love you forever."
It's not yet clear how the pro bodybuilder died with neither his wife or doctors confirming the cause of death publicly.
Poloczek was born in Poland and spent the majority of his life in Germany.
He got into bodybuilding at 16 after trying his hand at football.
He joined the renowned Powerhouse Gym franchise in Germany in 2002 and would later become its owner.
Poloczek leaves behind a young daughter and wife, Katherin DeNev.

22-year-old dies in swimming accident at Rothdachweiher

A 22-year-old died in an accident while swimming in the Rothdachweiher pond in Babenhausen on Sunday afternoon. According to the police, the man was swimming with a group of young people around 2:30 p.m. Suddenly his comrades noticed that he was going under and never surfaced again. They immediately called 911 and began searching. However, this was initially unsuccessful.
A large contingent of emergency services from the BRK water rescue service and the DLRG soon arrived from various locations in the Memmingen - Mindelheim - Krumbach - Illertissen area. In addition, the rescue service and the Babenhausen fire brigade were alerted, which blocked access to the lake and asked the other bathers to leave the location. The Memmingen police were also represented with several patrol crews.
Lifeguards and divers immediately got ready to search the lake, especially in the vicinity of the assumed sinking site. After a few minutes, they managed to find the young man and get him out of the water. While still on the bank, separated from the extensive staging area by dense bushes, the rescue workers began resuscitation. Meanwhile, the Ulm rescue helicopter "Christoph 22" landed in an adjacent meadow on Fabrikstrasse. Unfortunately, it turned out after some time that all attempts at resuscitation were unsuccessful. The young man died at the scene.

The waves pounded wildly on the beach as the two Austrians plunged into the turbulent sea. Because the endless, fine sandy beach in this section of the Algarve and the prospect of cooling off were obviously too tempting on Thursday evening.
What happened a little later will never be clarified. Because suddenly the 64-year-old pensioner (as is now clear, like his compatriot he is a Styrian vacationer) got into trouble in the cold sea. His companion tried desperately to save the man. But he soon lost his strength.
In the meantime, countless surfers and other swimmers had alerted the rescue services. Although they tried to revive the older of the two pensioners (65) on the beach, he had suffered a heart attack in the sea and could not be rescued from death. He died on the shore. His body was taken to the local coroner's office.
So far, all several hours and now stopped searches for his companion remain unsuccessful. He must have been swallowed up forever by the deep blue Atlantic during a dream vacation.

On Sunday, the emergency services were called to one of the apartments in the block at ul. Bytomska in Mysłowice in Silesia. Unfortunately, despite the doctors' efforts, they did not manage to save the little boy who died in front of his pregnant mother.
This is another such tragedy in the city within a week.
The accident took place on May 22 at ul. Bytomska in Mysłowice. According to the services, the mother called for help to the child who suddenly felt worse. The fire brigade, two medical rescue teams, the police and a rescue helicopter were dispatched to the scene.
According to the journalists' findings, the boy's death was due to cardiac arrest. "We confirm that the child died. However, for the sake of the good of the case, we do not provide details. Our task was to secure the scene," told "Super Express" to Sgt. staff. Łukasz Paździora from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Mysłowice.
The whole event was watched by the child's pregnant mother. According to the services, she also needed medical attention because she fainted during the operation. The woman was transported to the hospital.
The prosecutor's office is now dealing with the clarification of the case. "The prosecutor on duty was informed about the child's death. On-site activities were performed. Corpse secured for autopsy," told "SE" Marta Bińkowska, deputy District Prosecutor in Mysłowice.

Yesterday, May 24, Zenon Kowalski, a hairdresser known throughout the Bojanowo commune, died. He has sheared the neighborhood's inhabitants for 52 years. His clients included, among others the mayor of many years, Józef Zuter, and the current Maciej Dubiel, his father and grandfather.
Zenon Kowalski's hairdressing salon, which operated until the fall of 2017, was a unique place. The decor straight from the 60s, plus century-old hairdressing accessories and traditional men's cosmetics. But people did not come there to admire the beautiful interior or modern devices, but to make a classic hairstyle and talk to Zenon Kowalski - a hairdresser with 52 years of experience, a person recognized and liked in the entire commune.
A men's barbershop run by Mr. Zenon was located in one of the municipal buildings on the market square in Bojanów. Although it did not have an eye-catching sign or large advertisement, and the display window was covered with a long curtain, everyone knew where to find Zenon Kowalski - a hairdresser with 52 years of experience, who finished his professional career in October 2017.
Zenon Kowalski's plant was open only until the end of October 2017. Then the hairdresser decided to retire. As he assured him, he would certainly not miss it, but most of all he was glad that he would have more time for his immediate family. Unfortunately, the boy from Bojanovich did not enjoy his well-deserved retirement for a long time. He died suddenly on May 24. He was 72 years old.

Santa Severa, tourist dies of an illness in the water: useless helicopter rescue

Santa Severa - Unfortunately, the rescue of the lifeguards on the Norwegian tourist who felt ill yesterday afternoon while bathing in the stretch of sea near the Castle of Santa Severa were useless. The air ambulance was also called for the man immediately taken out of the water by the lifeguards, which unfortunately turned out to be useless.
The Norwegian national was spotted by swimmers on the beach as he fidgeted strangely in the water and struggled to stay afloat. Philipsburg - SMN News understands that Acting Governor Reynold Groenveldt passed away today at the St. Maarten Medical Center (SMMC) after suffering a massive heart attack. The information on the passing of the acting governor has been confirmed by Governor Eugene Holiday.
Attorney at law, Mr. Reynold Amando Groeneveldt was appointed by Royal Decree, as the first Acting Governor of Sint Maarten. Previously Mr. Groeneveldt served as Acting Lieutenant Governor during the transition period from May 31st, 2010 until October 10th, 2010.
Mr. Reynold Groeneveldt was born on Aruba from Sint Maarten parents and grew up on Sint Maarten. After completing the John Philips School for Secondary Education he left for the Netherlands to pursue teacher training at the Pedagogical Academy in Rotterdam.

A bather dies while snorkeling on Villaricos beach

A man died around noon this Monday while bathing on the Villaricos beach [Spain], in the Cuevas del Almanzora municipality. The 061 emergency services went to the scene and tried to revive him without success.
According to eyewitnesses to the events, the man was snorkeling on Cuevana beach when he began to feel unwell. At that moment, another swimmer took him to a rock where he could sit down, but seeing that he did not improve the man's situation, they took him to the shore and called 061. The man was between 70 and 80 years old.
Those present there have reported that the emergency health services took more than three quarters of an hour to reach the scene of the event. The man was already unconscious when the medical team arrived and although they tried to revive him for more than an hour and a half, the swimmer finally died. The victim was in the company of his wife at the time of the events.
