Actually its the other way around. In Australia AZ killed a number of people as they were not screening those that would be vulnerable to clotting. Still nasty stuff but screening significantly reduced deaths. The thing to note is they then made the booster exclusively mRNA (Pfizer or Moderna).
I'm referring to countries such as Norway, where AZ distribution was halted altogether, and South Africa, which suspended its use of AZ. Besides, opting for Pfizer or Moderna over AZ is like choosing death by a thousand cuts rather than the swift plunge of a blade through the heart. ALL of them will get you sooner or later, one way or another.

It's honestly a really painful process to discover a bunch of things you thought you knew or understood were totally wrong. I went through a big "conspiracy theory" phase in the early 2000s and it was a lonely, angering, and shocking business finding out about all the lies, not that I would take it back for anything. The more people have invested (i.e. the more they have suffered or passed along establishment harms to others) the harder it becomes to change. It's not just the psychology of previous investment, it's the emotional pain it would cause them.
The solution would be talking to people with kindness and recognizing what's emotionally at stake for them, and offering them easy ways out, without shaming them. Sometimes I can, a lot of the time it's beyond me to do that. Covid psychosis has caused my entire family too much pain. But you can never get someone to see your point of view by hating them.
People are slowly waking up one by one. Hopefully we will soon be getting to the "and then all at once" part of the collapse of the narrative.
