Edward James Olmos Opens Up About Battle With Throat Cancer: ‘I’ve Gotten Close to Death, But That Was Really Close’
May 26, 2023
For the first time, Edward James Olmos is detailing his difficult battle with throat cancer. The 76-year-old “Battlestar Galactica” star and founder of the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival shared his recent experience in an interview with Mando Freska on his podcast “Mando and Friends.”
Olmos received his last round of chemotherapy and radiation treatment in December and is now focusing on recovery. “I sit here saying now to you, Mando and friends, that one thing that I’m very grateful for was that I was in condition to fight this,” Olmos said. “I was in good condition — and I still am. I swim a mile a day at least, sometimes two miles a day. Every day, seven days a week. And then I row and do weights.”
Olmos said his bout with cancer caused him to lose more than 50 pounds, including a large amount of his muscle mass.

Melanie Griffith Steps Out With Bruised Face and Hand in LA After Skin Cancer Battle
May 12, 2023
Movie star Melanie Griffith was spotted out and about in Beverly Hills, displaying bruises on one side of her face and left hand.
RadarOnline.com has learned the Pirates of Somalia actress, 65, paid a visit to the Melanie Grant skincare salon on Thursday and could be seen with visible marks following her spa appointment.
Griffith has been open about getting dermabrasion in the past, which can be used to treat or remove potentially precancerous patches as well as improve the quality of the skin.
This week, a makeup-free Griffith was photographed in LA sporting a trendy leather jacket, a beige long-sleeve, and white sweatpants in the images published by Daily Mail on Friday, completing her low-key ensemble with a pair of stylish retro-inspired sunglasses.
Her well-being has been a concern for pals who feared Griffith's skin cancer returned this year after the Working Girl actress was spotted with a fresh scar on her cheek.
As RadarOnline.com exclusively reported, one person in her inner circle said, "she's had some issues with skin cancer in the not-too-distant past, and people around her worry she had a recurrence that required more surgery."

California Sen. Dianne Feinstein is facing further calls to resign after it was revealed she suffered additional health complications stemming from her shingles [sic].
Feinstein, 89, was absent from Washington D.C. for more than two months while she recovered from shingles. She suffered an inflammation of the brain known as encephalitis because of the virus, and facial paralysis known as Ramsay Hunt syndrome.
Adam Russell, a spokesman for Feinstein, said in a statement to The New York Times and the Associated Press, that the encephalitis had "resolved itself shortly after she was released from the hospital in March." However, the senator was still experiencing complications from Ramsay Hunt syndrome.
The previously undisclosed medical details regarding Feinstein came after she had already faced calls to leave office amid concerns about her mental and physical well-being. There are questions over whether she is still able to perform her duties.

YouTube star Hank Green shares cancer diagnosis
May 19, 2023
Science communicator, author, and YouTuber Hank Green announced in a video that he's been diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma, a blood cancer.
In the YouTube video, the 43-year-old told the story of his diagnosis. "When you're in the American health care system, you don't expect things to move quick," he said, recounting getting tested. "When it starts to get a little efficient, it's actually quite disconcerting."
He was right to be disconcerted — the tests came back quickly and positive for cancer. Still, Green was hopeful, explaining that the type of lymphoma he has is very treatable, and that it seems likely at this point that it was caught early.
In what he characterized as a "very Hank Green thought," he added "this is the best time in human history to get lymphoma."

LOL all those 'developing countries' told Gates and the WHO to fuck right off -- thanks to their recent experience with Billy Boy.
Maybe people like Jaimie Foxx will start suing these influencers who put undue pressure on them to get vaxxed.
