Anderson Cooper filled in for Kelly Ripa when she was mysteriously absent from Thursday’s taping of “Live with Kelly and Mark.”
The former soap star, 52, has missed three episodes over the past two weeks which has not been addressed on the show.
However, a source close to Ripa told Page Six she had a “scheduled day off” which is “totally normal during the summer.” [So what about the other two missed episodes?]

CARSON Daly was replaced by one of his co-stars during another absence from the show.
The Today Show star usually hosts the PopStart segment, but was replaced by Sheinelle Jones, 45, yesterday.
Carson Daly, 50, was absent from the daytime TV show once again yesterday.
Although he's usually responsible for hosting the particular moment of the show, Sheinelle confidently took over.
No mention was made of Carson, with no explanation of where he was or when he'd be back.
Craig Melvin Missing From ‘Today’ for Second Week in a Row: What We Know About the Anchor’s Continued Absence

Craig Melvin and Dylan Dreyer were both absent from The Today Show during Monday’s (July 24) broadcast.
The co-hosts were noticeably missing from the Third Hour, which they typically host alongside Al Roker and Sheinelle Jones. Instead, MSNBC and NBC News correspondent Savannah Sellers took their place to talk about workouts and pickle-flavored cocktails.
The pair have been absent since last week, when Roker briefly mentioned during last Monday’s (July 16) Third Hour segment that Dreyer and Melvin had taken some time off from the show. Melvin did make an appearance during Thursday’s (July 20) broadcast during a pre-recorded interview with Magic Johnson, in which he spoke to the former pro-athlete about becoming a partial owner of the Washington Commanders.
In the meantime, NBC correspondents such as Keir Simmons and Tom Llamas have been filling in for them during the Third Hour segment.

Boone, 47, has been battling pancreatic cancer and seemingly beat the disease into remission this spring when she returned to her position with the station.
Although things have seemingly taken a turn, as the Emmy Award-winning journalist took to Twitter on Thursday to announce that the cancer has returned.

Pamela Ballantine: UTV presenter reveals cancer diagnosis

TV presenter Pamela Ballantine has urged women to have breast screening tests done, as she reveals she was diagnosed with breast cancer last year.
The broadcaster said she received successful chemotherapy treatment following the diagnosis and is due to continue radiotherapy.
"Nothing can prepare you for the news," she told the Belfast Telegraph.
"This whole process has felt like it's happening to somebody else - I've never been a person to lie down and wallow."
A biopsy after her initial diagnosis - made after she attended a breast screening test without any obvious symptoms - showed the cancer was at risk of spreading.
Her oncologist referred her for surgery to remove tumours in her breast and lymph nodes as a result.
I can thankfully say I never heard of a single one of these "personalities."
